i mostly draw digitally now, but it’s fill tool if it’s on csp + outline and block in if i’m on the oekaki (takes forever…). i rely a lot on handpicking my own colors and using the pen+airbrush combo to make some pretty gradients and soft edges in both programs… if i’m on csp i use more brushes and have pen pressure so i will sometimes paint with the default gouache brushes too. it takes me a very long time to become used to a new brush, so i unfortunately haven’t branched out much from the default picks. sometimes i’ll add layer effects or filter if i want things to pop more, but i usually go very light or without. coloring and rendering aren’t really my forte though, because i have 0 attention span or patience so this is only if i can really stick with it… orz

v whats your favorite time of day to get stuff done?

morning. i already have to get up and brush my teeth and shower or whatever, may as well get it all done and have the rest of the day to chill. plus, i am very much a morning person and tend to have the most energy when i first wake up.

^ i got sick from eating a green potato once. didn't realize you weren't supposed to eat them if they have green spots. didn't die though! lol.

I really enjoy spring right now, it’s so beautiful and warm, which is so lovely after a dark winter. I think I’m forever biased since my favorite season is always the one I’m experiencing at the time, so it changes endlessly. I love spring because of blossoms, gardening, and no ice on the roads hahah.

Pineapple juice. It's so good but not really sold in the way other juices (like apple and orange) are. Very sad .

I recently learned that in a play, any set piece with wheels in considered a "wagon". Thought that was pretty interesting!

i like magnolia trees. my dad loves them and planted one in our yard, and i always kicked the seeds of my neighbor's magnolia when i walked home from school. magnolia leaves are so unique that i didn't think they were from north america, so it was kind of magical to find out that they're everywhere when i went to the great smoky mountains national park.

i can't believe i even remember after a decade, but there were these space-themed lions from the 2013 christmas event that i saw on another site (i think it was a blog because i liked the idea of running a blog). i immediately wanted to join the site once i checked it out and then just never left. that was january 2015. started as a roleplayer but the boards are so quiet now compared to what they used to be

Turkey vultures!!! Their role in the environment is amazing to me — they’re wacky lil’ purifiers hehe.

Forum games obviously!~ 🫶 I might get into drawing on the oekaki more though. I completed my first drawing earlier today!

^Yay for catching up with friends! I moved away from my hometown almost a year ago and haven't been able to visit as much as I'd like. Hopefully I can plan a trip back soon to meet up with all my friends!
