They shook their head at this, then focused on their sister again. She loved her sister, despite the dry, sarcastic and overbearing parts of her personality. Summerpaw knew her sister wasn’t only dry, sarcastic and overbearing. She had good traits as well. They nodded at her, and said “Yeah.” They quickly followed her to sit.

The pretty long furred red, darker and minimal white she cat continued to purr as the other she cat continued to groom her. The purring didn’t quiet, in fact it might only have gotten louder. She flicked her fluffy tail back and forth a couple times. Her ears twitched and perked, and she nodded at the other she cat. She made a cat sound, which would have been a giggle if she were human. She said “They sure don’t settle down much, do they?”

She didn’t mind it so much, though. She nodded and purred more as her mate had agreed to letting Shadowcry have the mouse. She said “Thank you,” to her mate, because she didn’t really know what else to say. Thank you seemed an appropriate enough thing to say here.

She squeaked a bit when the other she cat kicked her between the ears. She flicked her tail back and forth rapidly, which humans considered as wagging. She listened as her mate asked the Tom how he’d slept. Her mate was always so caring and kind. She glanced to the male, who was also a pretty great cat. They weren’t mates, but he wanted to be in the lives of his kits. She liked that about him, and was glad he was like that. She glanced to her mate again, and nosed at her a bit, then heard the leader making an announcement.

She nodded to the male cat, as he stood or sat there. She said “Okay,” when he said he’d take the mouse, and it would be enough for him. She then nodded once more, as he spoke of the meeting. They could actually hear it from here, so she stayed where she was.

he couldn't help but let a snort out at Aquakit's response to why she was by herself, tucking his paws under his chest he spoke "just because you are still a kit doesn't mean you aren't a part of the clan meeting, wouldn't you rather want to be by Shadowclaw instead of over here?" he questioned, curious if the little she-kit would scamper over there to the black and tan warrior, flicking an ear he gave her one of his rare smiles "yes you must be very excited but me? as your mentor? I don't think you would like that" Venomgaze murmured, feeling a little upset that he had yet to receive an apprentice but he brushed it off "I don't know if you noticed little one but most tend to avoid me" he admitted, trying to hide the hurt in his voice but failing. Letting out a huff he gently nudged Aquakit with his nose "however if I am made your mentor I would do everything to make you the best warrior this clan has seen" he purred, surprising himself a little by his kind words and the fact that he was feeling more at home around this little she-kit than he did with most of his clanmates.

Quietmouse knew Venomgaze was a good warrior but something about the tom just didn't sit right with the reddish-brown and white tabby, giving his head a shake he turned his droopy grey eyes back towards Nightstar, smiling once again as she continued to appoint mentors to apprentices; a little surprised that she had named Flamebelly one he shot the mainly black calico a friendly smile.

Venomgaze dipped his head as Shadowclaw approached them, a chuckle reverberating in the chest of the pale cream and white tom as Aquakit bounced around; shifting he pushed himself to his full height causing him to tower over the warrior and kit as Shadowclaw talked about apprentices, his green eyes brightening at the thought of getting an apprentice "I am well Shadowclaw, thank you for asking" Venomgaze replied with a curt nod, his gaze shifting over to Quietmouse as the smaller tom eyed him. Hardening his gaze he turned back to Shadowclaw as she continued speaking "an apprentice? yes that would be good, however there are warriors much more experienced and with more skill than I" came his reply, licking a white paw he drew it over his pointed ear "but who knows, Nightstar tends to pick mentors with somewhat of an opposite personality than the apprentices, makes it more challenging for both of them; take Moonshadow and Hawkpaw for example" Venomgaze said as he motioned towards the white green-eyed warrior and the dark brown and white apprentice as they approached one another "Moonshadow is one of the most patient and understanding cats in the clan while Hawkpaw.......well he has a tendency to explode at any given moment due to his fiery temper" he concluded before shifting his green gaze back onto Shadowclaw

He listened to the meeting rather uninterested, but perked his ears as his name was being mentioned by Nightstar, which made him feel a little surprised at first, as he didn't think to become a mentor to some of the apprentices now. He listened to the leader and nodded to her, not saying much of anything as he wanted the meeting to go as there was still plenty of apprentices waiting for their mentors to be told. He looked at Icepaw, giving him a smile, but he was a little bit hopeful for a little bit older apprentice as he thought Icepaw could not know anything about either hunting or fighting.
