I have a few for different reasons! the comfort show when i'm feeling specifically bad about myself is fleabag-- she reminds me it's okay to not have it totally together all the time. comfort show in general is either hannibal or gravity falls because for me they're both mindless enough since i've watched them so many times. they're really good distraction shows!
As far as books though, I always seem to turn to the authors tj klune and casey mcquiston. both are mostly queer romance novelists. particularly i usually go to under the whispering door and red white and royal blue, respectively. although for tj klune the bones beneath my skin has made the list as well (i got it a few month ago for my birthday and honestly? best purchase i've ever made). also really love the midnight library by matt haig-- i highly recommend it if you ever get the chance to read it! and the warriors series. i love coming back to a few of the super editions (bluestar, crookedstar, and yellowfang) if i'm in a reading slump.
