Removing the wishlist indicator defeats the purpose of having a wishlist. Some people don't trade as much as they use the pound, so that removes a key feature for most if not all people overall.
Also there is nothing wrong with wishlisting every rare+ for the pound. What's wrong with wanting to spot a rare? Removing dates might help but again its useless if people have their wishlists, and if the wishlist is removed from the pound I think that would create significant pushback and I don't think that would ever really be considered by Nick as something to change.

I get overwhelmed with navigating large wishlists so I don’t mark rares just for the sake of it, but I do think sometimes it’s ok to grab fodder from the pound. When I first started I had next to no chance to trade for anything good, and getting rare pound grabs I wasn’t crazy about really helped me get started with swapping for the ones I did want. I’d be open to mixing up dates more though so people aren’t just auto clicking the first space

I mean, I understand what everyone is saying about the wishlist and taking it away for the pound, but in the same instance, I really need my list because I'm not going to remember every pet I have or don't have. It does make me see which ones I've missed in a blink, and I can grab my lion or whatever and get out. I can see it being used for the ultra rares, but I'm not sure what could be done about that. Unless there was a particular day rares, etc, were released, much like a December 18th day. I'm not sure that's entirely a fix, but maybe make a holiday pound day?

As someone who is trying to collect one of every pet on the site, everything on my wishlist is something I don’t have. Everything not on my wishlist is something I already have.
I use the pound to grab literally anything on my wishlist because that means it’s a pet I don’t have yet. There is no way for me to memorize what all the thousands of pets on my wishlist look like so I can spot them.
Removing the wishlist tags would effectively render the pound useless to me as I would have no way to tell which pets are ones I don’t have yet in time to actually make a decision.
I’d personally rather myself and everyone else with the same goal as me not be punished for having large wishlists and as such I will under no circumstance support the removal of the wishlist tags.
Removing dates would be fine though.

I agree with Cyll even though I don't really know them in game or IRL.
I also share the same goal of collecting every pet on chicken smoothie and the wishlist tags help a lot especially when I'm adopting a pet from the pound. I don't like keeping doubles of pets or items and just want one of everything.
All my doubles either get adopted out or traded for a pet on my wishlist.
We need the wishlist tags and it will be a shame if they got removed. I still have a long wishlist but I also narrow it down by adopting and trading.
I also do random gift bombs to other users if I have over 500 pets in my adoption/trading group and they have that pet on their wishlist so I can help them out with there list.

I agree with many others who have said that removing the wishlist tags would NOT be a welcome change. I'm thrilled to get any pet on my wishlist from the pound, even when it's a common (which it usually is lol I have a huge wishlist). I'd be grabbing unwanted pets so often if the wishlist tags were removed.
I know that some people use the wishlist as a way to target high-value pets in the pound, but it is what it is. I'm sure that many people who utilize the wishlist like that would be able to recognize quite a few rare pets visually even if the wishlist tags were removed, so really we'd just be "punishing" everyone while not really changing a lot. Also, as other's have mentioned, even when using the wishlist this way you still have to get pretty lucky (the pet needs to show up on the page AND you have to be the first one to click it), so it doesn't really seem like much of an unfair advantage in my opinion.
I think that hiding the years and shuffling the placement would be a good change though.

I wish it was somehow made so that people can’t set up to be notified when it’s opening, they just have to happen to be there.
