What's your favourite less popular pet?

What are some pets that you love that not many people seem to give much attention to? (E.g Pets that despite being unique aren't in demand, monthlies/events that aren't commonly mentioned or thought of, pets along that sort. Basically, definitely not any Stores, Lists, Staff Dogs or URs, and most likely not any high demand event/old monthly pets). I'll go first:



The 2015 Veiled Chameleon - I love this guy so much. I love all chameleons, but this one being the closest to what my own chameleon looks like gives me a soft spot.



2023 Kingfisher Guinea Pig - I love birds, especially kingfishers and their colours, so this pet really scratches an itch!



2020 2nd Gen Mushroom Cat - This 2nd gen line is GORGEOUS, the whole lot, but this ones a personal favourite



March 2012 BW - The colours on this one really scratch an itch.



2022 Marble Snake - I think this is Marble, or Gneiss. But it's gorgeous, makes my geology student self very happy. More of this please.

Oooo, this made me dig through my favorites to look for good ones to answer with. Although I'm not super active on the forums so I'm not totally sure what is and isn't popular, but I avoided stuff I knew for sure is. Sorry if any of these don't fit the criteria though!


2015 Hyenas - One of my favorite litters ever because I like hyenas but you don't see them represented often. It's also super nostalgic for me because it was released the month I joined CS.


2015 Bongo Cat - Another nostalgic litter from the same month. I just think they look really nice. The bongo cat is my favorite of them, but a couple others from this litter live in my favorites group.


2017 August Dogs - I don't know what it is about these two dogs that makes me love them so much. The colors just really appeal to me or something. But I absolutely love them.


2015 January Pink Dog - Another one that I just really like the color of. Also another one where I love the whole litter.


2023 Ribbon Eel Snake - What can I say? Ribbon eels are cute as heck!



I no particular order here's some various other pets from my favorites that I really like but couldn't think of anything specific to say about them. (Also this post is long enough by now without me tying more.)

2024 Acrylic Dog - I love pets that has a clear element to them, especially with how bold the colours are on this pet. Adding the keychain was the cherry on top for me

This dragon-chameleon has got to be one of my favourite pets on the whole site. I love dragons, I love reptiles, my favourite color combo is black+turquoise, and the patterning on it is simple yet elegant.


For this egg it's again the color combo that makes me love it, I think (not too big of a fan of the halo, but it also doesn't bother me that much)


These nightsky dragons are also at the top of my list of favourites, because who could resist dragons + starry sky?


I don't think any of these pets are explicitly unpopular, but with my limited activity in the forums I haven't seen any particular demand for them either, so I hope they count ^^

Honestly any and all tarantulas, which is kind of funny because I hate spiders in real life due to being terrified of them.

For some reason photos, videos, and artistic depictions of spiders don’t bother me and I find tarantulas cool as long as they’re not right in front of me in real life.

I collect Malks because I really like those linearts, tarantulas included.

I totally get why some people don’t like them though and I won’t be including pictures for that reason lol.

What constitutes as a pet "not many people give attention to"? These just seem like general monthly and event pets that aren't the high demand one from that time. The hyena edits were well liked and still are. The only pets I can think of that aren't given much attention is a lot of the designs from 2010, especially the dogs. I have a hard time trading some of them off

I'd say pets that just don't get lots of recognition, they aren't mentioned a lot or remembered very well, and they're never in demand. I'm aware this constitutes A LOT of pets, but it's nice to see people's favourites that aren't the standards Lists/URs/Stores etc etc, or the popular in demand event/monthly pets (E.g Old malks, most 2013 Slumber Party event pets, Gummy Shark Dogs etc etc).
