thank you!

ahead are some ramblings, feel free to stop reading at this point

oddly enough, chicken paint is easier for me to understand than a typical animation program. it's less cluttered, i guess? though exporting the final gif requires me to open an another program, i prefer it to confusing "animation layout" settings of krita. but maybe i'm just too used to oekaki

actually, I AM LOOKING FOR a very simple animation program, more in the idea of a round ball making face-changing EMOTIONS. OLD-FASHIONED. (Kind of like the old emotes from "Ernie, in East Germany.") I don't think he has a website any more.Example: He was the one who drew and animated an emoticon shooting w/a gun,and another emote got "hit by love," Kind of like that.thanks!
This is the best website!

I'll let you know if I find anything of that sort! Though I think most animation software still present today (or rather - the most popular ones) had arleady adapted the "minimalist" look (very tiny text, no icons)... while having way too many options a regular person wouldn't ever use.

I tried looking for the animation you were talking about, but it seems like, as you said, the website is no longer there. Kind of a shame, really - old animation is some of the best when it comes to quality. Who knows how much of it is lost media now :(

Hihi! I think firealpaca is still pretty decent for simple animations , the layout is not very complex and u can do pixel as well. When u zoom in there is a pixel grid and its very helpful for pixel animations 🤤 since the program is pretty lightweight it’s easy to run as well !! I think most programs have more complex stuff bc there’s a lot of diff tools so it might be hard to find a really really simple one 😭

Depending on what kinda anims u wanna make esp if u wanna do pixel there’s a bunch of choices I think!! If u have iPad, procreate and rough animator are pretty good but they’re paid, 10 USD and 5 USD respectively, I haven’t seen a program like u described , but it sounds really cool 🤤 I wish I could’ve seen it 🙏

Also this hand animation is so good!! Very snappy feel to it!!! How did u animate on oekaki omg 😭
