I get nose bleeds A LOT, and I've had some pretty bad ones, (I couldn't feel my arm once, so. um.) but I've never gone like more than nine months since preschool without a nosebleed. It's been mentioned to doctors several times, and they keep telling me that an artery or something in my nose broke and never fixed itself properly, which makes sense, because in preschool I faceplanted really hard on the comcrete after coming full speed down a set of little stairs.
When a nose bleed starts to calm down, I would recommend ripping off about a two inch tall strip from the edge of a tissue, rolling it into a cylinder, bending the top over a little to make it a bit wider, and then putting that in your nose. In my experience it helps it clot, and it frees up your hands. Tampons work too lol
Also, right after one, I usually eat something with a lot of iron so that I get the blood back faster
