YES OMG fully grown dogs are usually a bit more chill than pups and I get overwhelmed easy so I prefer them.

It is perfectly normal and should be encouraged to cut people off if you feel that they no longer care for you in the way that is mutual and genuine AFTER having a conversation with them. I think that it's toxic and unproductive to cut someone off without at least trying to communicate your frustrations two or three times.
