Agreed! Other salts tend to have even more flavor to them. I like adding garlic salt (among other things) in whatever I'm cooking as opposed to regular salt.

A lot of people forget that "recycle" is the last thing in "reduce, reuse, recycle" and don't actually try to do the first two before recycling something.

agree! reusing/repurposing is so important & fun! not to mention that a lot of trash cans labeled “recycling” often end up in the same pile as all the other garbage…

complaining that games have too much content is dumb. you paid for the game, wouldn’t you want to get the most for your money?

agreed, videogames can not have enough content for me. but it also has to be presented in ways that are not overwhelming.

I'm ngl I never thought if they're ugly or beautiful, i mean i guess they're just animals that were filmed if that makes sense? Probably disagree

There are no selfish reasons to "not have kids", there are only selfish reasons to have kids

V honestly valid, I know the actual meaning of "selfish" but people nowadays watered it down to something synonymous to "bad", hence why I used it that way

Interesting topic! Sort of agree, I guess it depends on how you define ‘selfish’. As someone who never wants kids, you could say a lot of my reasons are technically selfish since they involve prioritising my own happiness (and I’m quite happy to admit that), but I think selfish behaviour is really only something that benefits your own needs over someone else’s, so if the potential children that I’m prioritising myself over never existed in the first place then that’s not the case. If anything, it’s more of a selfless act to avoid bringing children into the world when you don’t want them or are on the fence, since it avoids inflicting on a child all the issues that come with having a resentful/emotionally distant parent.

Also, many of the common reasons people give for having children are selfish, and I think it’s disingenuous to pretend that that’s not the case. Why not just own that part of the reason you might want kids is out of a fear of loneliness, desire for a sense of personal fulfilment, or fear that you might regret not having them? It’s not necessarily a bad thing; it’s only human to feel that way, and it doesn’t take away from all the other ‘selfless’ reasons you might want them either.

I could go on and on about this topic, but this is long enough as it is so I’ll leave it there.

(Idk if this is particularly unpopular, but considering how much of an echo chamber social media is I think it counts.)

If you consider yourself an activist, it’s a good thing to read arguments/talking points from people you disagree with and consider what they’re saying objectively without allowing personal feelings to get in the way (I know this is easier said than done.) You can’t expect to be able to think critically if you only engage with one side of a debate, or argue effectively if you don’t fully understand the reasoning behind why someone on the other side might think the way that they do.

yes, i feel that most people with critical thinking skills should and would do just that, basic human understanding should be the foundation of any good willed activism. however, critical thinking does also need to find the "oh this is pointless and this person obviously doesn't care" stop and exit gracefully before becoming a recreational debater... the activism very quickly just becomes obnoxious arguing and more harmful than good. have good positive directional conversations with people who are open to learning and changing/sharing their outlook and we will all be happy!

Somewhat agree. I love spicy food don’t get me wrong, but too spicy can be a little sad as I can’t taste the regular food and just the spice.

Chocolate milk is the superior way to have milk.

Agree 100%

'Indie' shouldn't be used to describe a single genre of music

Mmm.. Agree and disagree? If the word 'Indie' is being used as a flat description like, 'What music do you listen to?' 'I like Indie songs', that makes absolutely no sense. By saying that you're saying that you only listen to new upcoming artists/songs and once they've been established, you don't like them anymore. The word just means new/small/independent. Whereas if the word is used in it's correct form, like a playlist full of 'Indie' artists and songs then sure, it makes sense.

I don't think it's ever okay to spit your food out in public UNLESS it's so bad that you may vomit. Otherwise, cover your mouth and spit it out into a tissue. The amount of times I see people spit their food onto the plate without covering their mouths.... Makes me cringe..

v of course, with unique situations excluded

partially agree! I would say that some people have allergies, and need to spit stuff out for their own safety, therefore don’t have time to find a tissue

orange is an underrated colour
