it lies latent between tepid whispers, between siphoned swallows of candor that linger in the gullet like mercy // how tongue swells
abridged bones of the streets roamed, how i thought tonight of you: i rescind and shrink again like a naive mysticism of youth
an imminent belief in war — i lost my faith for love in the first person
there’s a split-screen broadcast of the externalities, substantiated like warmth between fingertips // compile evidence should it remain empirical // some futile desecration of subjectivity
self-deprecating chauvinism
i, the pariah to the crowd in rose coloured glasses

the distance between us an impermeable barrier marked along the perimeter of its corporeal walls by mercenaries of nostalgia
what i cannot put a finger on, the fleeting joys of worse days
you were right there with me, weren't you, when the weather brought us closer and the droughts saw rain
like clockwork it goes, it goes, it goes, some vacant expanse multiplying like the dusk's subterfuge of the dawn; quietly, my heart sings
will yours throb at the same pace?
set adrift by something unintelligible etched in the fabrics of time
i am perturbed, so to speak, by the perceived lack of it

living in the glasshouse of your own vessel; fragile palisades fracturing light as you reflect what contorts and break what threatens to bend
it all caves in eventually // should you lay in bed too long
pretend you can feel your feet on the ground, pretend you believe your father when he says he's proud
diffidence is hubris manifest
projection indispensable this disposition of a martyr that climbs up to the top and leaps from the cliff
did this record radicalize or did it conform to self-imposed ridicule
a year off to think and three to plan your action
