  • During the hunt, Lannister and Weaselfall get injured. Lannister receives a deep cut on his shoulder from the talons of the bird, which will end up scarring, but he seems to be fine without herbs or rest. Weaselfall has bite wound from a shrew that quickly began to look infected - Weaselfall needs +1 wild garlic and +1 moon of rest.
• Conifèrescreech's patrol catches +2 voles and +1 rabbit.
  
  • During the hunt, Crescentharmony receives a kick from the rabbit, who's claws seemed sharpened by many moons spent scrambling across rocks to get away from predators. Crescentharmony will need +1 marigold and +1 moon of rest to heal.
• Flybuzz's patrol catches +1 mouse, +1 stoat, and +1 bird.
• Peregrinewink's patrol catches +1 mouse, +1 rabbit, and +1 stoat.
  
  • During the hunt, Candledrip gets caught up in the moment, scurrying after a swift bird through the branches of a taller tree. The adrenaline pumping, her clanmates cheering her on from below, she takes a flying leap towards the bird, a magnificent display of strength, but in its flurry of wings and fear, the bird sends smaller branches and twigs into Candledrip's face, causing her to lose her footing. The other members of the patrol are helpless, mouths agape in horror, as Candledrip takes a fatal fall to the ground. Her clanmates carry her back, but the she-cat was already gone before the healers could ever get to her...
• Piperhowl's patrol catches +1 vole and +2 rabbits.
  
  • During the hunt, Mintfern and Sootpelt are injured after accidentally running into each other, having been tracking and trying to pounce on the same hare... which got away, much to their disappointment. Mintfern receives a few scratches from Sootpelt's claws, and will need +1 dock and +1 moon of rest. Sootpelt receives a deep bruise to one paw after crashing into a nearby rock in surprise, but should be fine after +1 moon of rest.

↠ [ Border Patrols ] ↞

• Juncoflight's patrol makes it to one edge of the territory, marking the border and getting ready to head back when the sharp cry of pain registers to the cats. Within a split second, it seems a few of the patrol think it's a cat in need. Jorah is the first to act, sprinting across the border to the sound. Though the other cats are not far behind, there's no helping Jorah as he runs headfirst into a young badger. Startled, the badger lashes out, sending Jorah flying. The badger is quick to run away, not wanting to pick a fight after it seemed to have hurt itself on a sharp stick, but the injuries that Jorah sustained prove too severe. Though the bishops do their best, Jorah passes a few days later.
• Smogrumble's patrol is uneventful this moon.
• Laika's patrol is uneventful this moon.
• Puddleclaw's patrol scents a wolf near the edge of the territory! The scent is mixed with the subtle scent of milk, making the cats wonder if this could be just a pup who recently lost its mother or was left on its own. A patrol can be sent next moon to chase out or check on the wolf pup, or the wolf can be left alone to see if it leaves on its own.

It had been a moon. A full-blown moon since Soter had arrived to the troupe, and they still hadn't found the statue.
Ananke had begun to get snappy at Ponus and Soter, albeit apologised every time her temper had gotten the better
of her. After all, it wasn't their fault. Oh, why couldn't Mnemosyne have just left a message or something...

"Ananke! News!" A shout reverberated throughout the theater, and both Ananke and Soter (who was currently in the
process of showing her their super cool debris collection, carefully picked out and assembled in order of size) turned
their heads to look at Ponus, who scrambled through the backstage, almost tripping on some dropped leftover props
in his haste. "You'll never believe it! Come look! Oh, Soter, you too! I think I may have found the statue." On those
words, the duo looked each other in the eye and quickly stood up, making their way towards the tabby. "Really? Lead
the way." Ananke said in excitement, her eyes sparkling. Ponus nodded, swished his tail and started heading towards
a big wooden cabinet with emblazoned gold details, then squeezed behind it and through a narrow tunnel in the wall.
"How did you even find this place?" Soter asked in curiosity. "Ah.. well. Um. I'd rather not talk about it... it was quite
embarrassing," Ponus felt his face flush in embarrassment as he started pulling himself out of the tunnel. "but, um,
we're here." He took a paw and started grooming his face, cleaning it of the dust that inhabited the passageway.

Ananke's eyes went wide as she took the place before her in. It was old, obviously. Spiderwebs and dust filled the
space around them, and in front of them stood a huge object, covered with decaying grey cloth, lit by what seemed
to be a hole in the ceiling. On top of the cloth, a silhouette could be seen, and as Ponus took a step forth, intending
to remove the cloth, a voice rang out: "You're back again! ...hey, paws off of my cloth! Ugh... oh. You've brought
more cats." Soter and Ananke scrambled back, meanwhile Ponus groaned and turned to his troupemates. "I completely
forgot... this is Euphrosyne. She's been living here for a while, but couldn't get to the further parts of the theater
because the tunnel was blocked in. It wasn't until I, um..." he quieted down and Euphrosyne took over. "He accidentally
got knocked into the brown thing by an unstable prop collection and pushed it outwards! I got woken up by the noise,
so I came to see what was happening and saw him, completely out of it, laying on the floor." Ponus turned his head
away from the group and bashfully nodded, confirming Euphrosyne's story.

"Anyways, he didn't tell me there were more of you here! Ah, welcome to my humble abode! I sleep here, on this
big thing." Euphrosyne jumped down from the object and swished her tail happily. Ananke carefully approached
the presumed statue and quickly, before Euphrosyne could react, pulled the cloth down, exposing a white porcelain
statue of a masked face, depicted smiling yet crying. "This is it! This is the statue!" She twisted to see her troupe
amazed and Euphrosyne frowning. "Oh. Um. Sorry for taking the cloth down, but this is a very important object to
us. You can't sleep here anymore, Euphrosyne." The molly pricked her ears and tensed. "W-what do you mean by that?!
This is my home, you can't just- barge in and take it from me! Where am I going to go, anyways? The dumpster?"
She took a deep breath and approached Ananke, tail raised. "I won't let you take my home from me!" She snarled,
ready to pounce if Ananke made any wrong moves. Soter and Ponus, the latter frowning, stood to move behind her,
intending on taking action. "And I won't. Here's an offer: come join our troupe, which lives in the greater theater,
and you will be able to come back here once in a while. Otherwise, you'll have to go or be cut." She stated, puffing
out her chest.

Euphrosyne looked around and sighed, relaxing her stance. "I guess you leave me no choice. Fine. I'll join your
troupe." Ananke purred, and Soter stepped forward, examining the statue. "This is definitely the one. I feel it."
The two continued to discuss the statue while Ponus and Euphrosyne slipped out of the enclosed chamber,
heading towards the backstage.

"So... how do you think Mnemosyne will speak with us? Do we have to do anything else?" Ananke rubbed against
the statue, feeling both nervous and excited to speak to the mystical molly once more. "I don't really know." Soter
touched their nose to the cold object, and spoke up once more. "Ananke, do you also feel a bit sleepy..? Like
something is pulling you to the ground..." they closed their eyes, flank soon rhythmically rising, indicating they
were asleep. "...Soter? Soter? Oh..." Ananke collapsed and shut her eyes, falling to sleep.

"Ananke! There you are!" The molly opened her eyes to a silvery, misty cat - Mnemosyne - floating right in front
of her, Soter standing right behind the stage filled with shimmery silhouettes. "I was wondering why you took so
long, I even began to think you might have gone back on our... ah, arrangement! I sent Soter, but I guess they
could only help so much." Before either Ananke or Soter could get a word in, Mnemosyne started speaking once
more. "But now you're here! Welcome to the Bittersweet - that's what I call the realm I reside in! You can kinda
guess why, right?" She chuckled. Ananke bowed her head before mewling. "I'm glad we could meet again,
Mnemosyne. But - I have questions. Um, first, how do we get to see you again after we leave?" Mnemosyne's tail
brushed Ananke's pelt lightly as she looked at the stage in front of her. "All you have to do is touch the statue,
and you'll come right back here. Oh, but please - don't come here too often. I need time to myself, after all! Ah,
and one more stipulation - please make sure all members of your troupe come here atleast once in their life. I
have to make sure they're fit for the project." Ananke nodded, and Mnemosyne began speaking again. "Right!
Almost forgot. Ananke, I'm going to bring you more cats soon. I think perhaps a director would be useful,
wouldn't they?" The molly nodded her head. Mnemosyne smiled. "Good, good. Brilliant, even! Now, I believe you
should be on your way. Let the curtain guide you towards the limelight..."

Soter and Ananke opened their eyes at the same time, now looking at each other nearby the statue. "Let's go,"
said Ananke, quickly stretching her limbs. "we've got to tell the others." She began walking back to the tunnel,
and Soter opened their mouth. "We didn't finish looking at my collection..."

the clan was slowly becoming more lively with the rising sun, cats leaving the comfort of their dens to get on with their duties. everyone with their own plans for the early morning, frostpaw with her determination to catch prey to show off to icewing, riverspring helping smokesong with creating more storage in the medicine den, the clan was growing. sootstar found peace and pride in moments like these, sat on the meeting rock of the camp watching his clanmates work together. at first he found it saddening with the flood of memories of his old home, the old mossclan, however with time he focused on the present and the possible future of his clan. sootstar glanced up at the sky, muttering his thanks to natura for giving the clan this second chance. "hey sootstar." he hadn't even noticed smokesong come up beside him.

"oh hello smokesong." sootstar dipped his head, trying to hide his surprise at her sudden appearance. "everything okay? medicine den upgrading going well?" he asked confusion coating his meow, he couldn't think of any other reason why the medicine cat would be speaking with him so early in the day. the medicine cat shook her head with a slight purr. "no, actually the upgrading is almost finished, riverspring told me to step out so i would stop hovering." she mreowed with a flick of her tail, her gaze flickered over to the camp entrance. "i need to show you something." before sootstar could respond she leaped off the meeting rock gracefully and started padding towards the entrance.

he watched her as he followed behind, observing her body language. she didn't seem frightened or annoyed so sootstar forced himself to relax. he had a clan to take care of now, he had to be observant and cautious for the safety of all his cats. the rising sun shining down on his pelt helped cool his racing mind. how could anything be going wrong when the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the flora was alive. natura must be pleased. sootstar's thoughts were interrupted with a happy purr from the medicine cat infront of him. "right here." she spoke taking a seat in the grass. sootstar wasn't exactly sure what he was looking at, it was a plant yes, but what exactly? he had no idea. he never did medicine cat duties but he was sure it wasn't a herb.

sensing the leader's confusion, smokesong carefully padded forward to the plant giving it a gentle sniff. "it's not a herb if that's what you're thinking." she answering his unspoken question. "i'm not exactly sure what it is but i sense a connection with natura in it. it's an important plant." smokesong circled the plant before stopping to stare at sootstar. "we will need a barrier around it so no cat stumbles and crushes it."

"understood. i'll get some cats to create a barrier. if it's a special plant from natura we need to protect it and research it." sootstar meowed in agreement. was this a blessing or a warning?

season: leaf-fall / autumn
as summer gives way to colder weather, your clans can expect to see a decrease in prey and an increase
in danger. predators may become more desperate during this time. while the likelihood of dehydration
goes down, cats who aren't careful on patrols might face more serious risks. inside the camp, medicine
cats will find less herbs and kittings will become more difficult. cats who go out on too many patrols
will also face possible illnesses, as well.

general notes:
• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries

• newstar's patrol had the misfortune of crossing paths with an enemy patrol. thankfully, they were successful in driving the invaders off their border, but each of the saltclan cats showed signs from the battle:

[Chinch Bug]

How do you tell what is true history and what is fiction passed off as such? The stone fortress, long fallen into disrepair yet still standing proudly against the battering of wind and rain, is said quite adamantly to be a sacred ancestral home of these cats. Those they call monarchs said to have the same god-given right to rule they speak of in, as some of the more studious housecats could perhaps tell you, human stories. But if the humans are as godlike as they often seem, does that not add validity to the claim?

GildedClan lives in an old forgotten fort atop a large, largely flat hill, surrounded by temperate wood and swampland at a distance, relying on the stone walls for the most part as their safe haven and protection from the many threats lurking beyond and above.

Founded by what were once housecats and largely welcoming of any passerby willing to join, GildedClan houses cats of a myriad of different colours and patterns, uncaring to the utility or lack thereof of fluffy coats, pale and solid colours or size in their environment.
They commonly find a lot of value in creativity, curiosity, and artistry - seeking entertainment and novelty more than raw prosperity or strength.

Their food largely consists of whatever they are able to easily get their claws on. Rats and mice that make their way into the fort walls are an especially common snack, with rabbits, small birds, voles, and lizards making up the majority of their catches from outside without venturing too deep into the wilderness beyond the open fields near home.
Some of their most notable competition and threats may include boar, birds of prey such as hawks, and coyotes, though particularly bold foxes may be known to attempt to steal food.

They do not believe in StarClan itself, rather that the spirits of animals as a whole linger independently within the world, commonly simply referred to as the Spirits, or the Wanderers.

Ranks

• The Rulers - the rulers do not receive extra lives from the Spirits, but are nonetheless said to have their blessing. There is one ruler who receives final say on the law and happenings of the Clan, though it is not uncommon for mates, siblings, or close confidants to be granted the power to speak for them as well. The current ruler has full rights to pick and change their intended successor at any time. Should no successor be picked before the current ruler passes, it is the eldest priest’s duty to commune with the Spirits to pick one postmortem.
  
• The Royal Guard - supposed elite warriors, they spend much of their time seeing to the safety to the royal family, and are specially trained to handle even the biggest of threats that may face the Clan. In theory.
  
• Scholars - the keepers of history, the priests, and the doctors. These cats typically stay safe within the castle walls, honing their minds and serving as living archives of the past. Those with the natural ability to commune with the Spirits are particularly honoured and valued. (treat as Medicine cat equivalent for game functions)
  
• Hunters - Whatever their methods, these cats are who the Clan relies on to ensure a full belly each day. It's a job with little honour on the individual level, but one many would find rewarding and fun all the same
  
• Soldiers - trained in combat and always aware of their surroundings, the soldiers are the cats who ensure day to day safety of hunting parties and the fort alike.
  
• Artisans - the artisans are the cats who do other work, typically within the castle walls as well. From tending the gardens, to maintaining cat-made tools and structures, to making various crafts and art. Easy to overlook and undervalue, especially during hard times, but their absence would be strongly felt all the same.
  
• Sitters - while many cats only remain Sitters for a brief time while their kittens are young, others choose it as their path in life. They advise hopeful parents, and comfort grieving ones, assist in births, and help care for all of the kittens in the Clan.
  
• Students - starting at 6 moons old, kittens become students. They spend the first season or so receiving basic training in various roles as a means of fully assessing their abilities and ensuring necessary survival skills. After which they may be selected by a mentor whom they will shadow and receive full training from on their way into adulthood. Age of graduating can vary significantly between ranks, and mentors, but on average a student can expect to receive their full name at around 18 moons old
  
• Kittens - from birth until 6 moons old, these cats are barred from leaving the walls of the castle. Particularly motivated kits or those with particularly ambitious parents may start unofficial training early in hopes of grabbing the attention of the most talented mentors
  
• Elders - a long life lived is rewarded with rest and respect. It depends on the particular ruler how much they value the word of the elders, but they are highly revered and respected by the average Clancat all the same.

Sketch asked to look at his paw, which was quickly held out to the patrol leader for review and frowned as he quickly caught the glimmer of glass in their paw. He ordered his patrol to locate some thick ferns to sweep away the dust in the area to hopefully clear it from any other shards of glass, and helped escort Elkbreeze home for treatment himself. | Elkbreeze requires x1 stinging nettle and one moon of rest.

xx→ Timberwhisker didn't know he was targeted by a red kite until it was too late. The bird of prey was too tempted by the warrior's small size, thinking him an easy catch, and swooped down to secure him in its claws when the black cat was far enough from his patrol-mates. Timberwhisker screeched and hollered as he felt the talons curl into his skin, but the raptor was too fast for his Clanmates and he was quickly carried off into the sky, never to be seen again.
