Elton John - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was one of my favourite songs as a kid. I had no clue Elton John did a cover, and as much as I usually dislike covers, I probably prefer this to the original. I can't understand how he made the song so much longer but kept it so interesting to listen to. It's definitely going onto a couple of my playlists.

i was vibing with the african intro but when the drums and guitar kicked in at around the minute mark i was so surprised! such a cute song with fun instrumentation. makes me want to go to the beach and sip a daiquiri! thanks for the rec :)

I like ABBA, but had no clue there were two different versions of this song and hadn't heard the Spanish language version. I feel like songs translated into Spanish can get a little clunky or weird translation-wise, but I think they did a really good job! I actually prefer this one to the English language ver (..◜ᴗ◝..)

Ohh... I do know this song (or, rather, its sound-alike from VTM: Bloodlines - it really does sound similar!). Man, that shot me right back to high school, watching Marik Plays Bloodlines by LittleKuriboh over on YouTube. Those videos are incredibly stupid and silly, but I loved them to bits back in the day. (Still occasionally watch the Marik Plays Slender: The Arrival vids whenever I need a good laugh - the humor has aged surprisingly okay for that series being 10 years old.) Thanks for the nostalgia; great song!
