Pet Outcomes Issues

Anyone else having issues with getting all the outcomes from a certain litter? For those who are neurodivergent it can be VERY difficult to expect us to send trade after trade on the monthly / event swap threads, only to have them rejected. I’m missing a lot of pets and I don’t want the pressure of depending on other players to feel like I have a complete set.
I wish CS would change this. It makes me not want to play anymore.

Trading is the backbone of CS. Without it, there's significantly less room for community and user interaction. The rarity system would be meaningless if every user got every outcome — CS wouldn't be a collection game without it. Not getting every outcome isn't an "issue", it's a feature of the game. Rejection is tough on everyone, not just neurodivergent players...and plenty of active traders are neurodivergent as well, lol.

I feel like it's almost always been a pretty trade-heavy site? There are plenty of other virtual pet sites that don't have the same-ish system as CS, if that's what you're looking for?

You could make a post and have trades come to you. If I miss an outcome I make my own post in the trading forum and then post in that months/events swap post and let the trades come to me. Much easier than trying to find the pet!

usually each month has it's own official swap/trade thread. you can post the ones you're missing and then post the doubles or whatever you have to offer and someone will trade what you need

you don't need all the outcomes as soon as they come out, more often than not i wait a few days before trying to grab swaps. imo the swap threads can get too chaotic, just go to the bottom of the forums page and click on random users and trade with them lol

I understand the frustrating aspect, especially when it feels like you've missed every rare outcome lately, but it's also what keeps players engaged. It's not something that's going to change, for reasons stated above. I'm neurodivergent as well.

hi! neurodivergent here as well, I've accepted that I'm never going to fully complete my collection just because I don't trade a ton, but having a complete collection is also something that's not that important to me. I do like trading, but I've gotten more into sorting/dressups/naming my pets as of late.

I personally don't use trade/swap threads or boards at all, I just click people randomly on the main forum page lol. the free adoptions board is another place to pick up a lot of new outcomes that you may be missing!

I understand that trading can be kind of difficult, but I don't think getting rid of trading altogether is a feasible solution.

Sorry, as an autistic person, it's kind of entitled to ask a site to change it's entire structure to accommodate your personal issues. I understand it being overwhelming, often it can be for me and I've gone through periods of not trading or not even being on the site. But, if you don't align with the way the site works, then it's not for you, that's it. I'd recommend just taking your time. I understand the pressure to trade as quick as possible, but you really don't need to. Just go at your own pace and you'll be fine, there will always be people willing to trade. Honestly, with all these harder to get pets recently, it's sometimes easier to wait since people understand their value more when they're assigned a rarity. At the end of the day, remember that it's a fake online pet game. Don't stress yourself out too much about it. I hope you find a way to feel more comfortable playing CS, just know this is a moment where you self accommodate.
