Hey everyone, I'm curious to hear about your collecting aspirations on the site. Whether your 'endgame' is finally obtaining that elusive rare pet, meticulously completing a full set, or something else entirely, what is your biggest aim on Chicken Smoothie right now?
Once you achieve a significant collecting goal, what do you typically do next? Do you immediately set your sights on a new target, shift your focus to trading and helping others, take a well-deserved break, or something else?
For those of you who have reached major milestones, what did you do afterward? Did you set a new goal, focus on trading, take a break, or something else? I'd also love to know what keeps you engaged with Chicken Smoothie in the long run!
Share your current goals, your thoughts on the journey versus the destination, and what happens after you achieve your Chicken Smoothie dreams!

I collected all EUC & under pets on site, so I started working on hoards!
I hoard all PPS bwolves, certain aesthetics or even items. I even try and see if I can collect any items that I'm missing, but hoards help me stay active other than litter swapping. ❤️
I even send out gifts time to time because I love seeing people be happy.

I came back in November after having not played at all since 2019 (aside from logging on to adopt every Dec 18th), so I’ve got a longgg way to go until I reach my goals. I made a lot of progress collecting b-wolves when the majority that I needed were EUC and under, but now that it’s mostly rares+ I need I’ve slowed down since I don’t have a lot of trading fodder. Once I have all the regular releases for my b-wolf collection, I want to start collecting either foxes or deer, but it’s not a priority right now.
Aside from species collecting, I also want to build up my item collection + work towards getting my dreamies (:
The collecting journey is kind of like learning a new skill/language; progress comes quickly at first, then slows down and becomes harder. But I think that makes it all the more satisfying whenever you do get that little bit closer to achieving your goal.

I’m actually wondering this for when I’m done.
I took a two or two and a half year break from CS and yeah I don’t recommend it unless you really want to lose all your valuable fodder for no honest reason. I came on and still adopted but that was it and I still coughed up all my valuable store fodder (which were nowhere near new stores!) for monthly pets. Pets mostly being below uncommon. But I’m also mostly missing URs, some breed stragglers (like 3 rats for a good example) and then some 2009s and the brunt of 2008. I don’t see myself being fully “done” for years because what’s left for me is the harder to find pets (looking at you, URs). Because I worked for over 13 years, coming close to the end of a full CS set is a privilege and a nice one at that. I hate sounding like a privileged jerk for saying that but over a decade of trading sounds as fun as it was. Outside getting monthlies and stores, I’m happier not having to work as hard anymore. Even if some months are easier than others (and I play fairly with set swaps, I don’t rely on super old pets to get stuff). Events are my “fun time” because it takes more effort to get the full sets than most monthlies. Also if I want silly hoards or a bunch of an item, I seldom have to cough up more than the event tokens.
I tell myself I’d focus on hoards after I’m done and that is the best answer I got. I mainly hoard silly things, which I’m fine with, but they’re all instantly put on the back burner. These days I make myself have hoard limits (like 15 to maybe 30) because once the month or event ends, that’s it on its progress. Even if it’s super common, I don’t have time to work on it because that time has to be spent on the new month. (And this is all not factoring in offline or non-CS life. I’m still on other sites and do other things.)

Because of how I treat the newest UR pets, I will probably never have a complete collection. I'm missing 5 pets, but I tend to wait on the newest UR pets to settle in their values. I might pick up last years UR this year, I might not, it just depends. My goal is to just stay on top of things and get 2-3 UR pets a year. I've already gotten two this year, the phoenix and kirin, so I'm in no hurry to get anything. I'll pick something up if there's a good deal but it's fine if I don't get another his year.
I am mostly focused on hoards and I want to be able to finish my new ones. I'm hoping to make it to 9,000 animal eggs this year or at least by next Easter. Last count I did I was at 8,500 so it's definitely possible.
Honestly, the most fun I was having was trading around the rats I adopted on Dec 18th. I was trading for the sake of trading and I was having a lot of fun doing that. I wanted to prove that rats could be traded and look at the results:
Forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2733439&p=90849459&hilit=rat#p90849459I've been documenting trading rats up to see where I could get. I took small steps and I turned one rat I got from dec 18th into a nice dog, a malk, and two store pets. I really wanted to make a thread about this but I feel it would have fallen into the lack of discussion topic rule"

Whenever I complete a goal, I always end up finding another new goal to start. I find the "chase" so satisfying.
As someone who has collected a particular series of comics for many years now, I enjoy being able to go into stores and hunt for the issues I'm missing (usually variants or cameo appearances). So it's the same for me for CS. I click around on trade threads and see what I can find.

My goal is a full warrior cats collection. If that happens, I think I’ll trade all my stuff for C$ and commission artists on here
