How to calculate litter variants [THEORY]

Postby Blepleb » Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:05 am

so, yesterday when the easter snakes released you could adopt 13 of them. when there's an adopt limit of 5 pets, there is usually 3 variants.
i think that there might be a pattern where the amount of variants a litter has is equal to about 60% of the max number of pets you can adopt. this gets a bit muddy for some numbers like 6, because 60% of 6 is 3.6 and even 60% of 13 is 7.8, but these seem to be rounded up to the nearest whole number.

no idea if im correct but i feel really smart for once for maybe potentially figuring out the math behind it. maybe. probably not but maybe. please be proud of me

I think it’s been confirmed that the number you can adopt is roughly 1.5 times the total outcomes. So if there are 4 outcomes, 4x1.5 =6. Usually if it’s not a whole number they round up. And also sometimes it’s more or less depending on the size of the litter

The old way of telling was it's half. So if the adopt limit is 8 it usually meant 4 or so outcomes. But they made less adopts to prevent such excess of pets no one wants.

(This is my opinion, but I think they also added more outcomes? Older litters never had so many PPS and/or splits every month)
I stopped caring about this being perfect on mobile so enjoy!
