“Sometimes. Yes.” Storm said, agreeing with the dark wolf as they continued towards their new cave. “But not so constricting that Kiya or Curse feel like they can’t voice anything.”
Flicking her tail, her ears perked as she followed her sister’s scent towards the direction of the cave. “At least Kiya lead us straight to the cave, and not wandered off in another direction.” She added with a small smile.
She passed by the siblings, giving them their space to talk as she made her way through the thick bushes and into the cave.

Kiya looked at the ground as she listened to the dark male. She quietly huffed, ears perked as she lightly shrugged. “It’s alright.” She said softly. “I shouldn’t have snapped like I did, even though still true that we shouldn’t be separated.”
She lifted her head when their siblings finally arrived and passed by them to go into the cave. “But we’re never alone for long.” She added before peeling her head around the tree at Curse. “I understand. You’re not use to being around other wolves that aren’t Nightmare.”
“I think…that’s the first time I’ve ever lashed out at anyone, especially Storm.” She replied with a small smile. “I always kept things bottled up and yea Nightmare is Nightmare.” She flicked her tail before standing to move from behind the tree, a light breeze ruffling through her coat as the sun shone through the trees.

"I suppose something good came out of it." Nightmare sighed, as he observed the surrounding area. Taking note of the location and making sure it was safe. He casted a quick look to Curse and Kiya, and could notice the tension had rapidly died down now. He then went into the cave, it was much larger than the last one.

"I can tell." Curse said in response to her, lashing out was not uncommon for Curse so he could recognize the signs of it in someone who is much more passive, "I.. don't mean that in a bad way." He awkward swerved his ears, "Don't let it eat you up. Sometimes thats the only way to get others to listen." He said, "Or to get respect."

“Eh, as always we’ll know when Kiya explodes…it usually leads to something.” Storm said as she went to a corner in the back before turning to face the cave entrance, swirling her ears as she still listened to Nightmare.
“Try not to be to harsh on her in case you’re going to fuss at her for exploding earlier,”Storm asked lightly. “Being a shadow isn’t always a good thing, no matter how others term it. Even though Kiya isn’t a shadow or my shadow, she just needs…guidance in terms of helping find her footing from going from a large pack, to rogues destroying our pack, to a very small pack made up of strong wolves that have a common goal on some things.” She shrugged the last part when she realized it didn’t roughly make tiny bit of sense.
She looked around as some sun shone through the bushes.

Kiya scoffed, lashing her tail behind her as she looked at the ground. “It might as well be, if Nightmare fusses because I basically exploded in front of his alpha-ness with a temper tantrum.” She slapped her paw over her mouth, looking between Curse and the cave before quickly shaking her head.
“No that’s how Omegas get in trouble.” Her ears flattened as her tone went quiet on the last part. She looked away as she sat there. Unlike her sister who was the lead fighter in their old pack, she was an Omega. Not because she wasn’t good at anything, she was. Only because most of the wolves in the old pack were backstabbers and jealous that the alpha pair had two daughters that rivaled their own.

"Not be harsh?" Nightmare scoffed as he turned to face Storm, "You think coddling her is any better?" His eyes narrowed, "I am not going to make her my responsibility. If she steps out of line that's on you." He then turned back to observed the other two in the distance, watching Curse interact with Kiya, his ears perked to listen in. A minute late to Kiya's first comment about him, so luckily he didn't hear, "Hmph. She better learn to adapt fast. Relying too much on others guidance instead of yourself will end in disaster." Although a growing caution was in him, and he wasn't sure if he liked Curse interacting with Kiya so much.

Curse perked his ears in surprise at her remark about Nightmare, "I've called him worst," He responded with a smirk, voice low. But it dropped when she mentioned Omega's, "You.. were an omega, too?" He tilted his head. Truthfully, he wasn't expecting that. He assumed she was anything but an Omega. While their parents weren't Alpha's, Nightmare had proven himself andgotten the Alpha's attention. Curse, on the other hand, was not given as much support and ridiculed. He was never on par with his brother, no matter how much he tried.

If she steps out of line, I will correct her.” Storm replied, her golden yellow eyes looking to the dark male before looking back to their siblings. “If you had alphas as parents, before they were killed, you would know that choices weren’t given.”
Her tail lashed behind her with a stomp of her paw. “She’ll adapt just fine. She has a pack backing her no matter what.” She rolled her eyes at his comment with a small shake of her head. “I didn’t say she was your responsibility, Nightmare.” She added with an ear toss.
They were all agitated, and she knew she would need to back down abit. Sighing, she looked away before standing and walking off to explore the back of the cave.

Kiya looked away With a nod. “Our parents were alphas.” Kiya replied lightly. “But the pack didn’t favor the alphas having two daughters that would either both inherit the pack or until one was mated off to another pack, so I became an omega.” She flicked her tail at the ground floor.
“Storm became our top fighter and was one that would inherit her alpha female title.” Kiya looked back up abit, not meeting the dark male’s eyes. “I never envied my sister, though we could both pretty much beat any test or hunt tossed at us, we just agreed to our roles. Then the rogues came, and our parents and half our pack was slaughtered.”
No one would know it, but even though Kiya was an omega, she didn’t act like one. She acted like her birthright, an alpha female. But even she knew it was useless at that point because they didn’t have a pack.

"Good. I would hope so." Nightmare huffed, casting a quick, aggressive glance over to Storm but said nothing in return. He then turned when she began to walk off, but did not follow, "We will have to plan another hunt soon. Don't forget this." He called after her. Nightmare then left the cave, deciding to explore the surrounding environment.

Curse listened to her, and there was a bit of jealousy in him over that. He didn't know what it was like to be born into such a high ranking status, to have those expectations. Curse was a runt, forced into a low rank since he was born, "I see.." He replied simply, not too sure what to say, "I feel like the Alpha's of your pack were incompetent. Nightmare would never let rogue's get so close unaware." He swished his tail, he did not realize how mean that could potentially sound, especially considering they were her parents, "Maybe the next pack you're in will be different. Stronger."

“Like I could forget anything.” Storm said, stopping when one path way came to a dead end. Sighing, she then turned and headed back towards the entrance of the cave, looking to Kiya and Curse before going back to the back corner where she was at earlier and sitting down.
“Now he wants to hunt together willingly?” She whispered to herself. She rolled her eyes before looking back. “Guessing only temporary until we have to go our seperate ways.” Her ears perked forward as she listened for sounds around them.

Kiya nodded with a light shrug. “Being alphas at the time, yes they were incompetent.” She said lightly with a flick of her ear. “If only I wasn’t born to an apart pair then maybe things would’ve been different.” She scoffed lightly, ears perked listening to the sounds around them.
“Maybe.” She replied lightly with a light smile. “Which I’m guessing that has to be soon, finding a new pack once we all go our seperate ways?” She didn’t know why but that sentence cause a tinge of hurt course through her.
She quickly shook her head and shook out her coat to force the feeling away. “I guess we have to be ready to go on a hunt when Nightmare calls for it.”

Nightmare took this opportunity to spend some time on his own. As well as take a watchful patrol around the cave. Making sure no rogues had followed them. It felt like a lot had happened in this short time; from it just being him and Curse, to two stranger wolves being stuck with them, and now a rogue pack thats hunting them down. He stopped when he smelled something off, it wasn't wolves, he knew that. It was then he realized it was the scent of a cougar. He knew the rogues were priority, but there were still other dangers out there.

"Perhaps" Curse responded, thinking back on his parents, they were together but they never seemed happened. "Hm..." Curse also thought on that, he wasn't even sure if Nightmare wanted a pack at all. He couldn't manage him wanting to buddy up with a whole group of wolves he barely knew. And there was something off to him, about never seeing Kiya or Storm again. "Eh, I think it's still a ways off." He shrugged, "Yeah. At least it will be easier, hunting as a group." He sat down, "It was always a little.. challenging hunting with just me and him."

Storm raised her head when the faint scent of feline wafted around her. Her golden eyes narrowed as she stood from her spot in the cave and made her way out of the entrance into the sunlight peeking through the trees. She walked past the younger wolves, taking up a spot a few feet away with her ears perked forward.
She looked around the area, seeing if the large cat was nearby. She also looked to the trees but saw nothing, even though in the sunlight cougars were able to hide themselves well wherever they chose to.
“If it’s not one thing it’s another.” She said lightly, tail flickering as she kept a look out.

“I guess whenever Nightmare rules it, Storm and I would have no choice but to leave.” Kiya said lightly with a small shrug. “It was nice while it lasted.” A far way sad look haunted her eyes before shaking her head as she gave a light nod.
“True.” She replied with a light smile. “Four is better than two at hunting anyways. It’s all about strength in numbers.” She thought back to when they took down the large bull elk, how they worked together and shared their strength to be able to bring it down.
“Like how we all did with the bull elk? Sometimes teamwork or maybe possibly small pack work, is always a plus.” She froze when the word pack left her muzzle.
She looked away with a light shrug, before lifting her eyes out to the field in front of the hidden cave.

Nightmare lifted his head, noticing Storm had left the cave and was also looking around. He then approached her, "We need to be careful. I don't know if there's anything nearby right now, but.." He took another look around, "Rogues aren't the only thing to watch out for." As he said that, he flicked his ear in thought. While the potential feline threat was on his mind, something else was as well.

"I think it's possible if Storm strongly opposed what he had to say, she could potentially knock his ego down a bit." Curse scoffed, "Can't imagine he would care about either of our opinions." He rolled his eyes. A surprised look appeared on the males face with how she accidentally called them a pack, "What? You see this as a small pack already?" He raised a brow curiously. Although he suppose, technically, they are. He wasn't sure how he felt about that.
