Grape Jelly patted Snow on the head. "Don't worry 😌," they said, emoji included. "I know exactly what to do to fix this. I've been here before. Common occurrence, actually."

Their bird companion - Cheeto - somehow managed to raise a bird eyebrow skeptically, glancing between Grape Jelly and Snow as if doubting this statement and possibly worried for Snow's safety. Snow was not comforted by either of them, even less so when Grape Jelly magically pulled a jar of jam (jelly??) out of an invisible pocket in their fur.

"Behold, my magic dog to cat transspecies potion! Perfect for this exact situation. Don't ask where I got it. Or, um, what it's made out of. It's very safe, I promise. I've had it before and I'm totally fine." They removed the lid from the jar and held a spoonful of the mystery jelly out to Snow, grinning as if they couldn't wait to see what this would do.

Snow eyed the spoonful skeptically. This was raising a lot of red flags, but, well - she really didn't want to be a dog forever. What the heck, might as well try. She swallowed the spoon of jelly and waited.

"Nona, are you sure this is the right thing to be doing?" Gala asked, her voice laced with concern - something unusual.

"Oh yeah." Nona said as she played with a glowing blue thread before her, analyzing Snow's condition. Her mews were translated into woofs, which kept making Nona chuckle. "Distress should bring out the cat in her."

"Does she even know us?"

"All of Stars know us..."

"Alright, here goes..." Nona breathed. A moment of silence paused, before suddenly an orchestra of sadness began playing behind the two mollies.

"GALA, I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU!" Nona yipped. Snow, who had previously been poking at a twig, perked up, looking at the commotion. Gala dramatically pressed her paw to her own chest, falling over dramatically.

"MY NONA! What do you mean you're breaking up with me?!" Gala said, her voice oddly flat, which Nona quickly observed with a squint of her eyes and a hushed whisper -

"Make it more authentic!"

"I'm trying! It's hard to lie!" Gala whispered back before looking back at Snow, who tilted her head curiously. "OHHH NONA, we have walked this earth for moons together, why must we break up now? Is there ANNNNNNNNNNNYTHING that can change your mind?"

"Oh, but there is only one thing! Turning Snow back into her elegant cat form!"

Snow began to whimper and whine. Clearly it was working. Or so they thought.

"Well, you heard her Snow, we'll break up if you don't turn back!"

Althea blinked at Snow.

“Oh.. okay.. well..” her words were tentative, cautious, her eyes darting around slightly. Everbound watched from a distance. “Maybe this is like the time I got uh… accidentally teleported here..? Maybe Everbound knows..” Althea allowed her eyes to flicker to Everbound in a desperate plea. Neither cat knew what to do in this scenario, I mean, who is trained to turn a dog back into a cat? Let alone a cat they’d never met before and had no clue how it happened…

“Okay… let’s try this..” Everbound proposed, handing over unicorn fur, a bottle of phoenix tears, and some griffon feathers. “I don’t know if this will actually work but it’s worth a shot..” she mumbled, squinting as she mixed the concoction. As Everbound passed the mixture to Snow, it let out a puff of smoke before blowing up in their faces.. literally.. dog hair now coated the cabin, and Althea was coughing, waving her tail to chase away the smoke.

“Well.. that backfired.. any other ideas..?” Althea mumbled.

“Not really…” Everbound grumbled softly, listening to the chorus of barks coming from snow-now-in-dog-form-but-why??? “Maybe tuck her in the back… somewhere she can’t be seen.. for now..”

Althea just nodded and coaxed snow-now-in-dog-form to the very back of the witches cabin.. nobody else needed to know for now.. “you’re gonna scare the younglings..” Althea mumbled to Snow-now-in-dog-form. All she got in response was a series of frustrated barks.

Everbound soon found them tucked in a corner and pushed forward another concoction. When Snow-now-in-dog-form takes in the new mix, she is trapped in a series of dog like laughs. Everbound cringed. “Whoops.. that wasn’t what was supposed to happen..”

Althea scowled softly in thought. They’d successfully had an explosion and created a laughing serum. How wonderful. Surely they had to be overlooking something???

“Uh.. why don’t we just wait.. surely whatever this is will have to run out eventually..” Althea mumbled nervously. What in the gods was happening to this previous cat?? The only other idea was hiding snow-now-in-dog-form in balloons and hoping the giggle inducing serum would work with the balloons? Like a clown she supposed? Althea really had no idea what she was thinking with that idea so she didn’t let it out into the air. Yeah.. this totally had to run out eventually.. right..?
