Welcome, so nice to meet you! Chinese fantasy sounds really fascinating! Do you know a lot of Chinese?
Hello! Nice to meet you :>
Yes, I'm an overseas Chinese (huayi), so I'm pretty much a native speaker. My primary writing language is English because my parents made me listen to a lot of English audiobooks as a kid to acclimatise to the use of English overseas xD But I think Chinese is a really elegant language especially to write with.

What do you enjoy most about writing?I love how writing and reading opens up worlds to me that I would almost never be able to experience in real life. I love how it's a way to explore "what ifs". Story telling has been around pretty much since our species started to create language and I think it's beautiful how humans have taken the art and developed it. We just really love telling tales.
For instance, did you know that cave drawings were made specifically to help with oral stories? The way they are drawn they look like they're moving in the light of campfire. In later parts of history, it used to be that we would have a designated reader for making dull tasks (sewing, cleaning, cooking) more interesting. We still read books and listen to audiobooks to this day :3
I'm so grateful I get to be apart of the creation of story. Creating is as integral to us as breathing, and while I've been developing other art skills lately, writing will always have a special place in my heart.
