I had no idea what a sinosauropteryx was and looking up this little guy was pretty informative! definitely my favorite dinosaur now and having a character based on one is so fun ;v; <3
my idea for this guy is that he was an alien from very far away that when viewing earth from his planet, he saw dinosaurs and he picked the first one he saw to be the disguise he transforms into. unfortunately for rex, once his species leaves their galaxy they remain as that form permanently.
