this reminds me of something i did as a kid!

we had metal fences that were woven together into diamond-shaped grids. once i saw someone run their fingers along the fence so i gave it a go, and weirdly enough it was really soothing!

I've found that "creepy" ASMR videos are my favorite. There's one by Jocie B where a mushroom decomposes you, another by Restful Rambles where you get random body parts stolen to make a sleep potion, and then of course just about every video by K1ttenscafe. The more it seems like a horror movie premise, the better... which is especially strange because I don't like horror movies lol.

had a phase where i'd listen to hsr gameplay in the background as i went to sleep - i was craving for lots of loud clanging noises in my ear at the time. still kinda do it today, but these days i can fall asleep without it.

also watching baking videos or speedpaints

I like these videos called "black midis", it's basically a midi file with a lot of notes in it, like if it were on a music sheet the staff would be a black bar from all the notes, and people play them on a piano roll program and have the notes set up to sound crazy and make cool patterns. They are really chaotic and flashy and loud but it makes my brain quiet and calm lol. I also sometimes like videos of mandelbrot fractals.

it's my second favorite sound after a cat purring and it's so exciting and soothing at the same time because soda is life.
