I have longer- and shorter-term hyperfixations, my current big hyperfixation is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically the 2012 version, more specifically Mikey (he's my special lil guy), my current micro hyperfixation is Game Grumps!

for like the past 5 years i've been obsessed with watching old adult swim shows and learning about the history of the network. i dont like all of them and they all aged poorly but i got into it cause i was obsessed with the history of hanna barbera cartoons before that and i find it all interesting. even if i don't like the show itself i'm interested in how it was made and what it reflects about culture. the other big thing i'm obsessed with is cults, conspiracy theories, and paranormal stuff, especially ufos and ghosts. but i am a skeptic of paranormal stuff, i think it could be cool if it's real but the psychology of it all is more interesting to me. i grew up watching too much discovery channel. i'm also interested in horse coat color genetics, shout out to the other person who recently said that, also other animal color genetics, i like flight rising and horse isle 3 for that. this is my first post on the forum so hello to you all!

adhd but suspected autistic, ive had many hyperfixations in the past but i think horses (specifically horse coat color genetics) are my first special interest, or at least the first thing i can confidently call a special interest c: im super happy ive found something im so passionate about, it drives me towards community and joy c:

yall are definitely not alone in this, i was not a "horse kid" growing up, but warrior cats was a MAJOR special interest for me when i was younger & definitely had a similar obsession with cats & cat pelt colors/genetics. something about learning the way that your favorite animal works is just fun lol

Car Seat Headrest! Always Car Seat Headrest. It found me at my lowest and is one of the few things that stayed with me through thick and thin. I will never stop listening to CSH... The lyrics are so beautiful. The songs Will made when he was 17, is so relatable. It feels like I have a connection with them... All his music, the mix of heartbreak, pain, and the weirdly but yet beautifully placed literal lines. They feel authentic, they feel emotional, and they feel real. Even I have no idea how to describe what I feel of it LOL

The Broken Script! The lore is so indept and cool, the ideas, the visuals, and its probably to a certain extent the horror part of it that gives it a kinda.. alure to it

Rain World! Ever since I first saw Rain World I was intrigued. The idea of species, ecosystems different from ours is not an idea i am a stranger of. Since I was young, I would draw species and fantasy creatures in my classes, and create environments and challanges for them to survive and evolve; all on paper. Obviously will be a big fan of Rain World!

Foxes! They are my favourite creatures, and most of my fursonas are foxes, or hybrids of foxes with other creatures! I fell in love with foxes through adorable instagram reels of them.

Dark ambient. While it is no longer actually something I like as much anymore, it was also there with me. It felt like something I could relate myself to, something that embodied me without any lyrics needed. Anything, any background, any story your life carries feels like it fits perfectly there, almost like it is meant to. I have created multiple playlists during my recovery, and I still occasionally listen to them.

SCP and SCP:CB. While it also isnt one of my big interests now, i was a big fan of it and learned everything I could about the game, and even though I now forget many, I can easily list out 200 SCPs from the back of my head, to varying degrees of accuracy. I actually learned about SCP through my cousin when i joined his game while he was playing SCP:SR in 2020, and from there I learnt and am still part of the fandom, 4 years later.

While it is not as strong anymore, I still get obsessed over the colours pink and blue, specifically ocean-blue and Ice-blue colours. This is for a very personal reason.

Now other stuff I'm interested in is usually games with very deep lore.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

i played it for the first time 18 years ago now on my Gamecube, and it has been my most favourite game in the entire world since. genuinely, no video game has ever even come close to having such a beautiful storyline and perfect essence that struck me to my bones. (in my opinion ofc)
my friend made the mistake of asking me who a character was once (Midna) and instead of answering straight i took 2 hours to tell him the entire storyline with pictures. was okay with him though, made him wanna play >:) but i pride myself on being able to recite the entire storyline if asked )
i havent gotten to read all the manga that was made about it— (i know theyre not canon to the game but its still TP so i gotta read it)— because the library keeps not having all of them. one day ill read em all lolll.
but anyways this lil game means everything to me and im sure all my friends are tired of hearing me talk about how much i adore Midna 😂😂
