has this happened to you? please, i want you to share your experiences below, so we can hopefully inspire some sort of change.

What's more annoying is that a good majority of EU and rare pets are what you would expect. Dogs, lions, pps, and rainbow colored pets. Do we really ever get those rare monthly rats and ponies? Only if they're PPS
It also makes some people feel guilty for wanting to hoard these pets.

what i think is the worst part is that all of these prices tend to involve C$ and not pets. people will only ask for C$ for it and not accept any other offer. obviously theres issues with this, as many people cant agree how to apply a value to most pets, so how can someone trade an older pet they may or may not have when someones only accepting C$?

mediscout wrote: i've seen this too! i've noticed that you can't get by with JUST swapping out missed outcomes either unless you get REALLY lucky, so it's especially painful as a collector. you have to quite literally stalk the monthly swap thread and hope that you come across somebody who has the outcome that you're looking for. i get that it's supposed to be challenging, i mean that's the whole point of this site, but seeing people hoard specific outcomes just for later profit while collectors are desperately looking for them is a bit disheartening.

the result of the "inflation" is just human nature, nothing we can do to disallow people from seeking to trade their high demand pets off to the highest bidder. of course, if someone has a pet that seems to be in crazy demand, people will want to get the most value from it in a trade.
just throwing in my two cents, as someone who doesnt really take collecting too seriously. i understand how it can be frustrating, but i think it's just an unavoidable part of any game with a rarity system.
