Event Feedback!

What I liked about the Mythology March Raffle: That it was a raffle to be honest- I loved the winter raffle as well because everyone can participate and there's so much excitement in the community! The theme was so creative, you guys keep having the best ideas<333

What I didn't like about the Mythology March Raffle: I've seen a lot of comments about the prompts not providing enough advantage and I agree somewhat, but it's more than that. I think that in a raffle setting it's unfair to ask for any complex or difficult prompts because there's a huge chance that someone will win who did nothing at all except post, meanwhile there were a lot of people that made artwork or wrote long stories and they didn't win. I think the real issue is that the prompts themselves need to be simpler, not that they need to provide more tickets. Because the issue would still be the same, that someone who does nothing but post can win over someone that makes complex entries.

What I would change/improve on next time: I think extra raffle ticket prompts should provide one extra ticket but only be simple art like doodles, sketches or headshots and written prompts need not be longer than 100 words. (and less complex, like, drawing a horse in battle armor isn't very simple even if it's a sketch) For contests where you're encouraged to put in work I think it should be similar to the art exchange raffle where there is no freebie ticket option and everyone participating is putting in the same amount of effort.
I was also very torn about the amount of equids we could try out for, only four out of fourteen. I agree with Cammeraugepony that at least some limit helped people focus on what equids we would actually connect with, but it was crazy difficult picking 4 out of 14, I definitely loved at least half the designs.

all in all a really great idea that probably just needs a tweak. i seriously look forward to the next events you guys cook up! :D

Event Feedback!

What I liked about the Mythology March Raffle: The variety in designs and the accessibility! I liked the concept of base tickets + extra ticket opportunities. Additionally, I loved that the requirements for these extra tickets were not crazily high and that there were multiple ways to fulfill each prompt. This made the event extremely accessible no matter how busy someone might be, and we could use different skills to earn a ticket for the same equid.

What I didn't like about the Mythology March Raffle: As others have said, the number of obtainable tickets seemed a bit low compared to how many designs there were. It felt difficult to choose 4, and then among those, choose 2 for the extra tickets.

What I would change/improve on next time:
Depending on how many total designs there are, it would be cool to have a few more base tickets to spend and/or opportunities for earning extra tickets. As well as more flexibility in how we use them. For example, people could spread their tickets out across the different designs or use them all for just one design. Depending on how many total tickets could be earned, there could still be a limit to how many can be put toward a single design, to avoid any individual person from skewing the odds too much.
With all that said, I'd still love for the extra prompts to stay simple and easy-ish to complete. While the idea of earning even more tickets via crazy effort seems tempting, it would again make things less accessible. The nature of a raffle is also that, even if you put in maximum effort to secure all extra tickets, you might still not win, which would be a large drop of disappointment, akin to an effort-based comp. I actually loved that this raffle wasn't such a high risk concept :3

All in all, this was an amazing event, and I want to thank you for hosting it!
And of course, congratulations to all winners
