Notes
- As a reminder, characters must be 21+/adult, no upper limit. Convocation of Elders, 25+. Entities of Darkness would be 1000's of years old, but can appear any age (still 21+ however).
- The setting is D&D fantasy vibes, so no modern technology, but magichanical tech is prevalent.
- Characters can be most fantasy species, not just human. Take inspo from D&D species, and other species such as various fae, vampires and the like are also allowed.
- Depending on who the character is, they may have limited, or a particular type of magic. Heroes of Light will gain their magic after their power is 'awakened'. Entities of Darkness will start out with an extremely weak form of their magic/power. If you're not sure about the idea you have for your character, feel free to PM me to discuss.
- Any questions or suggestions, particularly in regards to world building, let me know!

Claudio Varan | 31 | Male | Consul

Species: Half-Elf
Appearance: Claudio has light blonde hair that is fairly short, very neat, save for a bold, heavy side bang. His eyes are dark, forest green in colour and have an average shape to them. He stands at 6'3", with a lithe, athletic build that is perhaps unassuming, as well holding himself with a very formal posture that makes him seem a little taller than he actually is. He also has a defined, chiselled jawline and well-set cheekbones. His somewhat tanned skintone has almost no markings, aside from a dark, splotchy birthmark behind his left ear. His ears are pointed, though smaller than a full-elf's.
He wears an off-white suit that looks similar to a service dress uniform and has a dark teal sash and belt, with dark brown boots. He also wears an off-white cloak with dark teal and gold shoulder pads, and gold accents. Attached to the back of the cloak are two ribbon/coat belt like appendages, tipped with a sharpened gold metal, that act both as a defence mechanism and extra 'limbs', which typically float over his shoulders - a magichanical invention designed just for him.

Personality: Diplomatic, eloquent and charming, Claudio is a perfectly poised Consul, valuing the wellbeing of the Estana Republic above all else. He is confident, set firmly in his goals, and does not back down from his demands - even if the other party may respond however emotionally, he holds a calm, respectful demeanour. Claudio is decisive and ambitious, looking to elevate the status of both himself and the Estana Republic, while also being mindful of the welfare of the citizens and Elders. He is an expert at hiding his true thoughts and intentions until long after he has achieved his goals. However, Claudio feels the weight of the future of the Estana Republic on his shoulders. Everything he does is for the Republic and the citizens, and perhaps forgets to forge more real, personal connections with others. While in public and with the Convocation - really, with anyone else - he sometimes feels as though he is wearing a confident, poised mask, and it is only in private that he allows himself to feel and express his true emotions (though very quietly as to not accidentally draw the attention of anyone else).

Bio/History: Claudio is the youngest Consul in the history of the Estana Republic, elected at 25. He was rigorously trained from a very young age by his father, who was quite an influential man, but with House Varan not part of the Convocation, they were a step down from it, and held little to no power aside from the fact they are a prolific merchant house. Nevertheless, that did not stop his father from training him, in the hopes of having a member of the Varan household a part of the Convocation - efforts that paid off, with Claudio being sponsored by one of the Convocation Houses and vouched for, which helped in the other Elders agreeing to vote him in. He did not have much in the way of a 'real' childhood because of this, growing up always knowing what was expected of him, and to hide all true emotions from others. It would be surprising to know that Claudio was actually born with a stutter, and it took months of speech therapy for him to speak in front of a crowd, clearly and with a confident, perfect smile.
His father is currently very unwell with an illness, and has started to put pressure on Claudio to produce an heir for the Varan House, especially as his younger sister is unable to have children.

Yasmin Sarkis | 23 | Female | Light of Abundance
Pronouns: She/Her
Sexuality: Bisexual
Species: Nereid (/Water Nymph)
Appearance: Yasmin has dark brown hair that is tightly coiled in ringlets, reaching just past her shoulders, and often has gold hair jewellery and chains adorning it. Her eyes are deep brown in colour, and have a slight prominent shape to them. She stands at 5'7", putting her in a middling average height, with an athletic build, and holds herself with a semi-formal posture that she often slips into a more relaxed one. She has an oval face shape, with slightly wider but not prominent cheekbones, and an overall smooth jawline and outline. Her medium-dark skin tone does not have any particular markings or scars.
Yasmin typically wears a white or aquamarine blue sheath dress with a halter, and a large usekh collar necklace that is jewelled and beaded. She'll also wear a variety of gold and jewelled upper arm cuffs, bracelets and waist beads. Her makeup is typically bright, colourful and bold, and her shoes are sandals, the straps wrapping up her leg to just below her knee.

Personality: Adorer of shiny, pretty things and riches, you would probably think that Yasmin is self absorbed and selfish. You wouldn't be entirely wrong, but she is also of the opinion that there should be plenty to go around, enough for everyone to take what they want and more. She has a desire for a prosperous future and willingness to share that future with others. She has a lot of care for others - no one should have to want for anything, and she does tone down her outfits, even disguising herself with a hooded cloak, when she goes into the Lower City. Yasmin is more generous than she'll admit, and although she may have a naive view of the world, she is strong willed and determined to get what she wants. However, this can mean she's quite stubborn, and typically does what she wants regardless of what she is told. With a heart of gold, Yasmin is still fiercely loyal and protective of those that she's close to.

Bio/History: The younger sibling of House Sarkis, who's sphere of influence is Trade, Yasmin is very pleased to have grown up in the richest of the Houses. She loves the days when most of the merchants arrive with their goods, and browsing the markets to see what special thing she can find next. 'Greedy' is a compliment to her. That's not to say she takes more than her fair share, of course. Yasmin is very glad to not have the responsibility of taking over as Elder on the Convocation - unless something happens to her older sibling - but it has meant her parents tended to throw something shiny her way while they prepared her older sibling for their role. She occasionally sneaks out to the Lower City, where she'll try and distribute some money and take a look at the markets to try and support the citizens there. What she doesn't know is that fate seems to have a bigger plan that she is perhaps not quite prepared for.

Ulkos Shadow | ~3500 (they haven't really counted and whatever they say would probably be a lie anyway) | Nonbinary | Entity of Deceit

Appearance: Ulkos has a humanoid form, though does have some features that make it clear that they are indeed not human. Ulkos has short, dark blue hair that often appears a little messy, and unnervingly occasionally has eye symbols blinking within it - but only when their power is at it's height. Their eyes are unusual in that one is dark blue with a black pupil and black lashes, and the other is light blue with a white pupil and white lashes. They are quite tall and lanky, standing at 6'2'', and has an athletic build with long limbs that are just a tad too long, which is unnerving, and holds a relaxed posture. They have a sharp, heart-shaped face, with a sharp jawline and high cheekbones. They also have blue lines that seem to extend their mouth, making it appear wider than it is, and a fair, light-blue-tinged skin tone.
They typically appear as though they are in their late 20's/early 30's.
Ulkos wears a pale blue shirt with large puff sleeves, one in pale blue and the other black, both with blue curved markings, and wide, pale blue cuffs. They also have dark blue trousers, and calf-height black boots with three diamond shapes on the front in varying shade of blue. They also has a ruffled collar, from the back of which extend long, dark blue coat tails that have eye motifs on the underside.

Personality: Unsurprisingly, Ulkos is a deceitful trickster. They love to play mind games with others, trying to sway them onto a bad path, into making bad decisions, promising lots and delivering the exact opposite. They also vy for more power, almost getting exactly that many years ago in both the Estana Republic and the surrounding areas, which were already teeming with power and magic they had wanted to use. There is very little they say that you can trust. Ulkos is energetic, wild, and unpredictable. If you come across them, you would be better off running away as fast as you can - because if they capture you, you're sure to have your mind played with, and manipulated to do their bidding.

Bio: Ulkos does not know how they came to be. They just, like the other Entities of Darkness, appeared many, many years ago. Their powers and state were once noble and good, once being known as the Sage of Truth. But such power corrupted them, and Ulkos soon turned to the dark side, their powers growing exponentially as they accepted Deceit into their heart instead.
The want for power and control grew, causing havoc across whichever kingdoms and countries they and the other Entities of Darkness happened to come across. And then, the Estana Republic. A quaint little republic that could hardly be any different, right? Unfortunately this was where their reign of terror and deceit over the lands came to an end, for this was where the Ancient Heroes, holders of the Virtues of Light, fought against them and the other Entities of Darkness. The battle was tough, and eventually, Ulkos was defeated, cast from their corporial form and into another realm, to be trapped and sealed away for thousands of years. Until recently. A mysterious figure tore open the realm and released the Entities. Though still weak, but just enough to make an appearance in the outskirts of the Estana Republic, Ulkos intends to enact their revenge and ensure the Virtues of Light are not awakened.

Riven Arrolwen | 37 | Male | Elder of Education

Species: cyborg
Appearance: for the most part he appears human as seen in the image. however half of his body is electronics, he had an accident as a child and if not for science he would no longer be here. he is tall thanks to his robotic limbs, standing close to 7ft. most believe him to be human unless he’s been scene at night, the lights of his electronic parts shines through his fake skin in the dark.

Personality: riven is very analytical, very serious and overall joyful cyborg. he doesn’t understand emotions or jokes but he does understand education. when he doesn’t understand something he asks questions, he is very inquisitive and eager to learn the world around him. at times when he is overwhelmed he goes into auto pilot, being a robot does have its perks. he finds himself unaware of those around him, hyper fixating on his tasks or his current fascinations.

Bio/History: riven was a human boy until he tumbled from a cliff at the age of six. his father had been somewhat of a mad scientist who created what riven is now. his mother claims her little boy died that day and that he is someone else entirely. every five years or so his system requires updates, thankfully magic can be used in these instances and science isn’t always necessary. If not being the heir of house arrolwen there is no telling what would have become of his.

Species: hafling - half elf & half human
Appearance: she appears more human than elven, her ears are her only notable elven feature.She’s average height at 5’3, with no piercings. She does have a phases of the moon tattoo on her wrist. See image for more.
Personality: she’s a bubble of sunshine, eager to please and always excited. she’s never found without a smile on her face and she is far too trusting for her own good. she’s aware of everything but tries her best to see the good in others. she’s a hopeless romantic and always talking about “soulmates”.

Bio/History: she grew up in a large foster family, where everyone was loved and cared for. she may not have had much in life but she had love and faith that it would all work out one day. she loves her foster family like they’re her blood family. Being a part of a foster family she strove to stay educated, it's how she found herself in a semi friendship with Riven, whom is always eager to teach her.

Appearance: nox has several forms he can take on, they are as follows:
- the shadow he spends a good chunk of his time in this form, his is simply a dark mass with glowing eyes. he is the thing is the corner, the eyes ever watching, the reason for the chill rolling down ones spine.
- the neutral is his fae form. in this form he stands at 6ft with hypnotic violet eyes. his raven hair is long and straight, falling just past his shoulders. he is built like a warrior, toned and muscled. his skin however is on the fairer side. he is rather striking.
- the legend is his demon form. his eyes are always a hypnotic violet, but his raven hair is shorn to his scalp. he has massive horns and razor sharp teeth. his skin is a deep rouge with dark swirling tattoos covering him from toe to neck. he is massive, though no taller than his fae form. he is the stuff of nightmares.
- the human form is very rarely used, he once used it to blend in and disappear when he was very young. he has not appeared as such in over a thousand years. image provided for reference on this form.

Personality: nox is possessive and obsessive. the fae in him makes him truthful, doesn’t help that he can’t stand liars. he delights in chaos, especially of his own doing. perhaps its demon in him that loves that? he finds himself preferring to observe more than participating. he is demanding, controlling, and quick to anger.

Bio/History: he has been around so long it has all begun to blur. the power had gone to his head, his demon blood and nature had been in control. theres so much left to do, he is delighted the world seems to have forgotten him. silence is the loudest noise, it is what he craves more than anything.

Sarai Kkarazakh| 23 | Female | Light of Passion

Species: Thri-Kreen
Appearance: Sarai stands at a lofty 7'3", tall even for her species. Her spindly, insectoid frame is covered in a thick chitin exoskeleton, colored sandy yellow and russet red in alternating segments. Her face, like all Thri-Kreen, is sharp and triangular, giving the impression of a giant praying mantis. She carries herself in a way most mammalian species find unnerving, constantly making small, jerky movements even when sitting still.

Her clothing generally consists of nothing more than strips of cloth wrapped around her exoskeleton, serving more as places to put holsters and pouches than as an actual covering. Both her 'clothing' and her exoskeleton are generally stained with some form of oil, soot, or grease.

Personality: Sarai has an obsession with the art of destruction that borders on unhealthy. From weapons, to explosives, to destructive magics, she loves making things blow up, and only partially cares what those things were beforehand. Plenty of people think all those explosions have knocked something in her head loose, an understandable reaction all things considered, but beneath her eccentric, lightly smoking exterior lies a drive to create and a love of invention that burn brighter than any blast she could ever make. Her tendency to hyperfixate on her craft leads people to think of her as aloof and hard to talk to, but she's actually a very amicable, friendly person. Indeed, the problem more often than not is getting her to *stop* talking.

Bio/History: Sarai grew up an orphan, in one of the many orphanages in the lower city. Her childhood was a lonely one, ostracized by the other children for her appearance, and she found solace in the few books the orphanage could afford. These books sparked a love of learning in her, a passion that only grew as she matured. As soon as she was able, she sought an apprenticeship as a magicanichal engineer, and displayed a remarkable aptitude for the craft. She cut her teeth repairing airship engines and fixing autocarriages, but her true passion was always for weapons. Not for any particular love of violence, simply because nothing else could adequately express her love for her work. Her weapons quickly established a reputation for being as esoteric as they were effective, though she had no idea she would one day be called on to use them for a greater purpose.

Appearance: Vex is gray. From her long, unkempt hair, to her pale, ashen skin, coupled with her general shiftlessness it's easy to mistake her for a pile of dirty rags. She's painfully thin, almost skeletal, her gaunt, sallow face fixed in a permanent expression of boredom. It's hard to judge her true height, given that she rarely if ever stands up straight, but her long, lanky frame makes her seem much taller than she actually is.

She wears whatever clothes she's given, meaning her usual garb is raggedy and gray from lack of care.

Personality: Vex, true to her title, doesn't care about anything. Every action she takes, every facet of her being, only exists because someone else decided it for her. The only reason she has a name at all is because she was born with one. She has no interests, no dislikes, barely a personality at all. On her own, she wouldn't even be a threat, but she's all too happy to follow the leads of the other Entities, and her apathy is dangerously infectious. In her presence, even the strongest wills are slowly drained of their vigor, until they're as gray and lifeless as she is.

Bio/History: Vex knows not where she came from, nor does she care to find out. Perhaps she would have, once, as the Sage of Resolution, but those days are long behind her, and Apathy has long since claimed dominion over her. She followed the other entities because they told her too, she fought the Ancient Heroes because they wanted to fight her. Truthfully, she was as glad to be sealed away as she was capable of being, but now that the Entities have been released again she supposes she'll follow them again. They'll probably ask her to, and saying no is such a hassle.

Appearance:
Tannish almost orangish skin, and orange eyes. He has his hair in a kind of shaved style, so it’s only on one side of his head. His hair is a golden blonde color, and a bit curly or wavy. He has freckles, and darker brownish horns, as well as his legs having hooves and he has a tail. His tail is odd, as it’s longer rather than a goat or deer tail. Other than that, he looks mostly like a regular Faun. He has a variety of clothes. He seems to favor the ones in the tones of earth, however.

Personality:
William is an adventurous male, however he’s also aloof at times. He’s caring and daring, but cold if angered bad and sense a bit. He doesn’t always get if someone is joking…or other things. He can’t tell if someone has a crush on him, for example. He also has trouble telling if someone wants to be friends or such. The person needs to outright tell him. He’s a happy go lucky but headshy, intelligent but icy (also if angered bad) one. He’s joyful but jumpy at times, noble but nervous. He’s outgoing but ornery at times, playful yet peevable. He’s soft, sweet, silly, and sensible on most things. However, he’s shy, stubborn, strong willed, as well as sensitive about certain things. He’s willing to listen to troubles and worries, but he’s also withdrawn at times.

Bio/History:
William’s family is known for Arts and Culture. They are in charge of things like theater, art galleries, museums, parks,, aquariums and the like. He was raised with care and love, alongside three sister. His eldest sister is 4 years older, the second is one year older. The third sister is younger than him. He was taught a lot about arts and culture, and is most interested in theater. Don’t get him wrong, he likes art and parks and stuff. However, he’s most interested in theater. His dad was elder before him, and stepped down. One of his sisters should have become elder, but Benn and Zara came to the decision he’d be the elder instead. This is because Elishaba is married and focused on family. As well as Iris being sick and weak, so it was decided William was more suited.
