The moment of the wedding is finally upon us! As the brides draw close to each other, the air is filled with their love. Flower petals float through the air, and it is all you can do not to tear up from how sweet and poignant the moment is.

In all of Sylvia and Odette’s wedding prep excitement, it’s easy to forget to take time for themselves. Today, they went on a scenic fly together, just like they used to. They love to do flips and tricks to try and impress each other.

buckwheat felt a sheepish smile wriggle across his snout. he passed over the wedding invitiation to his crush and couldn't help but blush. "would you want to... attend the wedding with me?" buckwheat stammered out, a blush rising to his cheeks. his crush nodded and the pair spent their time discussing what to bring and wear and what festivities might take place. buckwheat couldn't help but smile the whole time!

Sakura got her invitation on a lovely spring day. She carefully unrolled it and then squealed. Sylvia and Odette are getting married! Oh, Sakura is so excited for them, and honored she was invited. She gets a plus one and she knows just who to invite. After doing her daily chores, she heads down her hill to the magic forest where Briar Rose lives. She wanders around until she stumbles upon her. Briar Rose is a unicorn, and she magics around the forest to wherever it needs her at that moment. Tracking her down can be hard sometimes, but Sakura is determined! She has fun news. Briar notices the invite and asks about it right away. Sakura explains and Briar Rose's wings fluff out in excitement. She's never been to a wedding before!

While they wait for the wedding day, Briar Rose learns and practices for the wedding. She learns to dance. She learns proper table manners. She learns how to clink a glass with a knife to make the couple kiss. She wants to be the perfect guest!

The day before the wedding Sakura and Briar Rose prepare their final gift. They gather beautiful flowers from the forest and yummy veggies from Sakura's garden. Their friends helped them create a pretty frame for a future wedding photo. They're both clean with shining fur, ready to celebrate true love!

Light intertwining.
Quiet whispers hang in the air,
Alas, lavendre de la mer enters the hall.

"Thy greed knows no bounds" one whisper spake,
Though not true it pierces the soul,
Yet forward still doth lavendre tread.

An outsider looking in,
Lively dancing, boisterous laughter, magnificent vastrals,
Where do I fit in, lavendre muses.

"Lavender!" so exclaims Sylvia, followed
Closely behind by her fair Odette.
"A flower for you, dearest Lavender!"
From Sylvia's paws, a flower presents itself
unto lavendre. Speechless,
lavendre smiles. The room regains its color.

Callo bounds through the festivities clutching a bouquet in each tentacle, staring wide-eyed at Mono behind him. "Mono, have you heard from Kai at all?"

Mono shakes their head, careful not to dislodge the small baskets of flower petals they're carrying. "No, not yet. Last I heard, she said she'd be running a little late. I wish I was doing the same."

"Oh,don't say that, Mono! You sound like Vityaz right now, they were so rude when I asked him to come along," Callo whines, xyr tail flicking.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Callovian," Mono says, rolling their eyes, then their gaze darts boredly to the side, then a second time, jaw dropping.

Callo paws at Mono's shoulder. "Mono? Uh, sea to Mono?"

Mono points. "Dude."

Callo frowns and follows their directing, his own jaw going slack at the sight of Kai, Kai, the largest and strongest vastral xe's ever known, flustered and fidgeting speaking to a pretty lady.

"I can't believe she's prioritizing flirting over bringing the biggest fish she can to the cooks."

"I can't believe she's finding love at a wedding! That's so inappropriate! Quick, Callovian, go bother her and ruin her chances, you're an expert at being a nuisance."

"Wha—oh, come on, dude, I'd be a great wingman! And aw, you think I'm great at something?"

Mono stares at him. "I can never win with you, can I?"

"Never my friend, never."

Genevieve dragged Lucero all around the weeks leading up to the wedding. Buttons here, lace there, bolts of fabric everywhere. She couldn't just wear one of her already made outfits, no. She was good at anything crafty, which is how she and Lucero became friends in the first place, but that also meant she loved to make things from scratch. So, Lucero couldn't even say he was surprised when she told him she was going to make her own outfit for the wedding. And a matching outfit for him, as well.

Lucero didn't bother telling her what he wanted to wear. She knew his style, but he also knew that once she had a vision in mind she'd only half hear any suggestions from him. So, he let her take him around to all sorts of specialty shops in search of mother-of-pearl antler style buttons and seafoam green fabric that would supposedly "complement his eyes". He also kept her company during tireless nights, working on his own paintings as she hyperfocused on making sure every single stitch was in the right place.

It was all worth it in the end, really, when Lucero arrived to the wedding with Genevieve. The two of them were clad in their fancy new outfits, having spent the early morning getting ready with Genevieve's great attention to detail, ready to celebrate a day full of love and light.

The party was in full swing, the air filled with joy as flower petals cascaded down onto the brides and guests. Estrella was watching everyone, the brides nuzzling and sharing cake, many other of the guests chatting or dancing as the music played love songs and the lights dazzled. She looked over at the brides...
Sylvia was looking into Odette's eyes, admiring the twinkle in them, not only from the reflection of the lights but from how joyful she looked. This was the best day of her life, so magical and amazing as she looked at her wife. She couldn't help but smile ear to ear at the thought of that, her wife! The grand festival was a huge success, everyone having a great time and enjoying the festivity, she couldn't be happier.
Odette stared into her lovers beautiful eyes. All the stress and worry of the wedding preparations were finally over and she could just relax with her now wife. She smiled softly at her, it was all worth it, especially when her dearest helped her so much. The music was amazing, the food even better and the declarations exactly how she always dreamed of. Best of all though was all the love she was feeling, her heart overflowing with just pure happiness. This truly did go perfectly and she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
As the festivities faded into the dark of the night, Estrella looked at the brides one last time, dancing softly in a sweet embrace to the rhythm of the music and she left, looking at all the stars in the night sky and the moon as it shone down softly on the reception. This truly had been a good event.
