It's an arbitrary unit to explain the exchange. One could say 10 goops = 1 glop and everything still holds true. They were units from the old rares list that was discontinued years back.

But you said they are "explained" in the post you linked. They're not explained, it's just the exchange rate.

And I literally explained those units above, WHY they have those names (ie actual explaining, not posting exchange rate as "explanation").

And non is not arbitrary, 1non is always 1non-dog.

You should write up a blurb for Horror explaining the historical reasoning behind 'MA' and 'non'. I know Horror is busying doing their best keeping this updated so I'm sure they'd appreciate the contribution! :)

but is there a reason to the tiers being the way they are where like... the BA will go for T1 why isn't demand taken into account?

no hate just simply curiosity and some confusion on my part :) thanks

Not sure if i understand your issue correctly, demand is very much present in this list? Its states it even right at the beginning of the list part.

The Tiers are split by their rarity bars:
1. Pets that have always been omgsr
2. Pets that flip floped between VR & Omgsr back in the day
3. Pets that turned omgsr with rarity updates
4. Etc.

We know objectively that pets that turned omgsr with the rarity update are more common than pets that were omgsr pre-update.

Thats why the BA is so 'low' as its objectively not as rare as a Grinner. But it has Demand and thats where the 'lines' come in.
Pets that are the same rarity group and trade for the same are in the same line. While those that trade for more are in a higher line.
Tier 5, line 1 BA
Tier 5, line 7 Purple Husky ( same litter/ rarity as BA)
Tier 4, line 4 Grinner

In 'What each 'Tier' is worth:' you'll find:
Tier 4: Line 4 === (2 MA) = (450C$ grinners, 550-650 others)
Tier 5: RERELEASES:
Line 1 === (1 Non) = (10 MA) = (2000+C$)
Line 7 === (1 MA) = (10 Old Rares) = (300-350C$)

In Demand Maaterpost you'll find it ordered by the amount it trades for.
The Orange Cerberus & Skelebun first & recent store pets last.
