━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Destiny held his gaze, something unreadable flickering in her eyes as she processed his words. There was a weight to them, something that settled deep in her chest before she could shove it away. Cypher always had a way of seeing things she wasn’t ready to confront—not yet, maybe not ever. And the worst part? He wasn’t wrong. She scoffed lightly, shaking her head as if to dismiss the thought, but the small smirk playing at her lips betrayed her. “That’s the difference between us, Cypher,” she murmured, tilting her head slightly. “You were always meant to run toward something. A purpose, a duty. A future.” She let the words hang between them, her voice quieter now, laced with something almost wistful. “Me? I was never meant to run at all.”

And yet, she was still here.

Her gaze flicked down for just a moment before snapping back up, an almost imperceptible shift in her expression—like she was daring him to look too closely, to read too much into the words she didn’t say. But she knew Cypher too well. He would. He always did.His presence was steady, unshaken, that ever-watchful intensity never wavering. It made something curl low in her stomach, something dangerous and unfamiliar that she refused to name.

So, because she refused to let him have the last word—because he was Cypher and she was Destiny and this was what they did—she reached out with a paw, nudging the elk leg just slightly in his direction. “I’d like to see you try,” she challenged, her smirk sharpening as she arched a brow. “Because if you think you can make me do anything, Cypher, you’re in for a long fight.”

She let the words settle between them before adding, a little quieter, a little more teasing, “Unless, of course… you’re willing to make it worth my while.” The way she said it was playful, but the edge in her tone—low and laced with something far too close to a promise—was deliberate.

And just for good measure, she leaned in slightly, close enough that she knew he could feel the warmth of her breath, close enough that it would leave him wondering. “What do you say” she murmured, her voice just for him. “Think you can handle me?”

Then, just as easily as she had closed the space between them, she pulled away, swiping the elk leg toward her as if the conversation had never happened at all. But the smirk she threw him—sharp, knowing, and entirely unapologetic—said otherwise.

The scent of fresh prey still clung to his fur as Risen padded through the camp, his steps light despite the weight of the kill still lingering in his muscles. The hunt had been a good one—successful, efficient—but his mind wasn’t on the thrill of the chase anymore. His sharp amber gaze scanned the gathered wolves, searching until it landed on Athena.

She was alone.

That in itself wasn’t unusual, but something about the way she sat—quiet, thoughtful—made his chest tighten with an unfamiliar pull. He hesitated only for a moment before shifting the piece of food between his jaws, stepping toward her with quiet purpose.

Stopping just a few paces away, Risen lowered his head and gently set the meat down in front of her, nudging it forward with his nose before taking a step back. His expression was unreadable, but there was a softness in his gaze, a quiet understanding.

He couldn’t speak—not in the way others could—but he didn’t need words to say what was already clear. Eat. You need it.

For a moment, he simply stood there, watching, waiting. If she accepted it, he’d nod once, satisfied, before slipping away just as silently as he had come. If she refused, he would stay a little longer, his silent presence unwavering.

Either way, this was not pity. It was simply what he did—looking out for his own, the only way he knew how.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Blaze listened in silence, the weight of Nova’s words settling over him like freshly fallen snow—light at first, but accumulating quickly, pressing into him with a heaviness he couldn’t ignore. Three moons… it had only been three moons since everything changed, since Redmoon had been forced to rebuild from the ashes of devastation. He knew he wasn’t the only one struggling, but it still felt like a battle he was fighting alone.

Until now.

Nova’s presence, steady and unwavering, chipped away at the walls he’d been holding up. Her nuzzle, her words—he hadn’t realized how much he needed them until they were already settling into the hollow spaces inside him. He huffed softly at her attempt to be wise, the corner of his mouth twitching in something that almost resembled amusement. “You really are something, Nova,” he murmured, shaking his head slightly. “Always trying to carry everyone else’s burdens, even when you’ve got your own.”

His amber gaze followed hers toward the sky, the golden beams breaking through the gray. Her reminder of his own advice didn’t go unnoticed, and it almost made him laugh. “Sounds like your ‘good friend’ is pretty wise,” he teased, but there was warmth in his tone, something softer than his usual sharp wit. “Maybe I should listen to him.” When she recounted their first meeting—his tense standoff with Dante, her firm declaration that she wasn’t going anywhere—Blaze felt something tighten in his chest. That was Nova. Always standing her ground, always pushing forward, always there. And damn it all, he didn’t deserve a friend like that, but he was grateful for her all the same.

The light nudge of her nose against him, the lingering charm in her voice as she reassured him, it was enough to finally pull him from the weight pressing down on him. He let out a slow breath, watching as she rose to her paws, eager to keep moving, to keep going. That was Nova’s way, and maybe—for now—it could be his too. The unexpected lick to his cheek made his ears flick back, and for the first time in a long time, he let out a genuine chuckle. “Alright, alright, I’m coming,” he said, shaking his head but following as she called for him again, her usual spark returning.

And as they walked, for the first time in a long time, Blaze felt just a little lighter. Blaze remained quiet as Nova took charge, her presence as steady as ever. He let his gaze sweep over the wolves gathered, noting the newcomers with the sharp awareness that never quite left him. Hyuuga—he remembered him from before, a familiar face that stirred something in his chest. Relief, maybe. One more piece of their old world returning. One more wolf that had survived.

His ears flicked at the mention of another name. His eyes shifting toward the unfamiliar she-wolf—Willow. She was a stranger to him, but Nova’s cautious approach told him she wasn’t about to accept anyone blindly, no matter how warm her tone sounded. As Nova returned to his side, leaving a space between them, Blaze exhaled quietly, watching her work. There was no doubt in his mind—she was born for this. He caught movement from the corner of his eye and instinctively turned, his amber gaze locking onto Gauge in the distance. She wasn’t looking at him directly, but he could tell she’d noticed him. Noticed him at Nova's side.

His jaw tensed for a fraction of a second before he forced himself to relax. There was no reason for things to be tense between them—no reason for her to feel like she had to watch him so closely. He wasn’t that wolf. He had made a promise to her. He had never been one to betray his word, and he wasn’t about to start now.He turned his focus back to Nova and Willow, watching the silent exchange unfold.

Nova signaled the wolves to eat and rest, her tone firm but kind. It was a reminder of how different she was from their last leader—how much stronger, how much better. Blaze finally spoke, his voice calm, even. “You’re handling this well, Nova.” He glanced at her briefly before looking back at Willow, studying her for a moment before adding, “But if you need a second opinion, I’m here.” he mentioned adding a bit of a reassuring tone. It wasn’t just about Willow—it was about everything. The weight of leadership, the exhaustion that came with it. She didn’t have to do it alone, and though she already knew that, he figured it never hurt to remind her. His gaze flicked toward Gauge one last time before he turned away, focusing fully on the task in front of them. One thing at a time. That was all any of them could do.

River tilted her head slightly, her tail swishing thoughtfully. "I do enjoy running," she said with a soft chuckle, her eyes glimmering with a playful spark. "The wind in your fur, the ground beneath your paws... it's like flying. But you're right, faster is always better." Her smile softened as she continued, her tone becoming more serious. "I get what you mean about the past," she added, her gaze drifting for a moment before returning to meet her companion's eyes. "It can weigh heavily on you if you let it. But it’s always about moving forward, right? Every day is a chance to be someone new, to change... even when it's hard." She flicked her ears, a hint of amusement dancing in her gaze as she noticed the way her companion seemed to shift, perhaps second-guessing herself. "And as for the pack..." she paused, a little grin tugging at her lips. "You’ll get to know them soon enough. They're a good group. The Luna and the rest... they'll warm up to you. It takes time. And the pups, well, they’ll probably end up chasing you around before you know it."

River's smile faded slightly as her gaze flicked over to Hyuuga, understanding the weight of the moment. "It’s not always easy, being the new one," she murmured, her voice softer now. "But you're tougher than you know, and the pack will see that. Just give it time."
River’s ears flicked back slightly as she listened to the conversation around her, a soft smile tugging at her lips when Willow mentioned the pups. The thought of them reuniting made her feel a little lighter, though she remained quiet, not wanting to interrupt. She noticed Willow’s excitement about seeing the pack and the Luna, and she felt a flicker of anticipation herself. It had been a long time since River had been in the camp with the full pack - and why they were still missing wolves from the avalanche. The return of some truly made an impact. She glanced over at Hyuuga, who seemed nervous, and then back to Willow, offering her a reassuring glance. She gave Willow a wag of her tail "It'll be okay" she reassured.

As they neared the camp entrance, River’s thoughts shifted to the pack. She had been a part of Redmoon for a while, but with everything that had happened—the avalanche, the changes—there was still a sense of unease. Things were always changing, constantly. And so far it seemed like it was changing for the better. She couldn't lie and say she wasn't anxious of another life changing event to happen in the pack.

When the camp came into view, River saw the familiar figures of Nova and Blaze, standing at the entrance. Her heart gave a small lurch as she realized this was the moment the wolves beside her were the most nervous for. She took a deep breath and lowered her head respectfully toward Nova. Before her gaze turned towards Willow and Hyuuga. She didn’t know what to expect, but she hoped Nova would welcome their return. River glanced at Blaze briefly, but for now, her focus remained on Nova. There was a quiet resolve in her—no matter the past, she knew the pack needed.

(not sure what else to add for her right now LOL).

Redmoon

Gauge- f- 3 y 3 mo- Fighter- bi- mate: Blaze- Niko/Kizo and Kioku- Tags: Akiro/ River, Hyuuga, Willow, Blaze, Nova/ Castor

The black phase she wolf smiled a canine smile. She said “I was able to keep them alive,” but wouldn’t elaborate on that. Not unless he actually asked, which she didn’t think he would. She was fine with that, it hardly mattered anyway. What mattered was the fact the two pups were happy and healthy. Gauge had adopted them just like she’d adopted Niko. She’d sort of adopted Azure too, but he really seemed closer to Akiro. She often wondered why, but it didn’t really bother her.

She then twitched a bit, as the Luna had approached. They’d had problems in the past, or really only one problem. It had been natural to be jealous of another female getting close to Blaze. Now, they were mates, so she didn’t need to worry about that. At least she hoped she didn’t…but she trusted him. She should trust the new leader as well, but she knew females, and even males, weren’t always…good. Like…she didn’t know the word for it. Some would try to take another wolf’s mate or crush. She didn’t really think Nova would do that. She shook her head, and lowered her muzzle to sniff the snow. There was some still around, so she pawed at it too. Shaking her head when the wind picked up…then it calmed again, so she raised her head.

She watched and listened to the other she wolf. She flicked her tail gently back and forth, then fully looked at Blaze a moment. She nodded to him, but didn’t really say anything to him. She looked back to the others again, and nodded at Nova. Saying “You’re welcome,” then looking away. She glanced to River and Akiro, and wagged her tai, at the both of them. Since she hadn’t looked fully at Blaze until just seconds ago, she hadn’t noticed. She hadn’t noticed the tightening of his jaw moments again. However, she had looked at him fully just seconds ago. His face had been neutral when she’d looked at him. She found herself meeting eyes with him again. Only for a moment, before she sighed and turned to River and Akiro.

She said “im sorry River…for making you still go with me. Though Castor seemed more upset with me, so…you shouldn’t be worried. I’m still sorry for putting you in that situation though.” Though she’d only been doing what Blaze had asked her. She still felt a bit bad about it. She shook her head a couple times, then glanced over to where Castor and the others were. She sighed as she headed over to him and the others. Saying “Castor…I’m sorry about earlier, I just didn’t like being questioned…because I was just doing what Blaze told me to do.”

Akiro- m- 2 y 3 mo- Fighter- homosexual- crush: Castor maybe, definitely Koll- Tags: Gauge/same

The reddish looking male twitched darker ears. His darker tipped tail flicked, and he nodded at the younger she wolf. He said “I do, maybe I’ll adopt some of my own one day.” He’d definitely adopt pups even if he never got a mate, but he had his eye on a particular wolf. Shaking his head, he said “Oh, my name is Akiro.” He then nodded as she said he didn’t look much older. He chuckled, saying “I guess I’m not much older than you. I’m two years old, and like three months but I guess the months part doesn’t matter.” He nodded and said “That’s true, time will heal everything that’s happened.” He smiled a canine smile, saying “His name is Niko, by the way. The wolf that is close in age to you,” then fell silent once more. Since the Luna was there and was studying Willow.

When she began to speak to and question the others, he continued to just stand by. He noted how Gauge didn’t fully look at Blaze. He wondered what that was about, but then seemed to get it. She didn’t want him to think she was watching him, or was jealous anymore. He knew she had no reason to be. Blaze must know there was no need to worry either. Shaking his head, he nodded as Nova spoke. She told them all to go rest and get some food, so he glanced to the others. He touched noses with Gauge, then turned to River. Nudging her, he smiled and said “Come on, let’s go get something to eat.” He remembered how he’d hung out with her and Milo…Shaking his head, he pushed that away and began to walk towards food.

Azure- m- 7 mo- pup- likes boys- crush: Eros- Tags: Kizo, Kioku

The blue-gray pup and white pup sighed as he listened to her. He didn’t quite believe that…but he just nodded at her. He said “We can play, or find something else to do, after we eat then.” Since she’d claimed she was just bored, he made this offering to her. He shook his head when Kioku called Eros new again…He was pretty sure Eros was originally from this pack, but he said nothing. He then tilted his head a bit. Running over, but then saying “I think we do have to wait for her to get food first…”

Starlight

Yuui- m- 9 mo- pup- boys- crush: Eros- Tags: Goliath

The pretty but still handsome male blinked his blue and brown eyes. He nodded as he looked up at the much bigger wolf. He said “Thank you,” when the other seemed to be praising him. He then yipped a giggle, saying “I guess we do eat a lot.” He then nodded again as the other agreed to getting food. He wagged his tail a bit, then Yomi was approaching them. He noticed how she seemed to giggle at him…and he shook his head at her. Yet he said “Good job on the hunt, on helping to catch it.”

Kuroyuki- m, f at times- 2 y 9 mo- hunter- crush: Mikage, Ermin- Tags: Ermin, Yomi, Kuroi, Kiyu

The black phase one flicked their white tipped tail back and forth. He sniffed the air a moment, then shook his head a couple times. He glanced to Ermin a moment, wondering if he should ask him to share a meal. Technically they were all sharing this meal…He put his tail down, feeling like it would be a dumb question. Shaking his head, he went over to the meat and ripped some off. He sat down with the meat, but just kept it between his paws. He found his eyes going to look at Ermin once more.

Miracle- f- 1 y 3 mo- healer- crush: Yomi- Tags: Scythe, Yuui

The golden-cream slender and slightly smaller female yawned. She shook her head a couple times, then blinked her eyes. She quickly focused on the other she wolf, and nodded at her. She said “Okay,” and focused her attention onto the water once more. “I won’t hurt myself,” she then quickly said to the healer. Before watching the fish again, and seeing a medium sized one swimming around. She waited, and waited…then ducked her head in. She just barely missed the fish…and sighed as she lifted her head.

Nova
[ Rank ] Redmoon Luna [ Age ] 3 Years Old [ Crush ] Open [ Tag ]Blaze + River, Willow, Gauge, and Hyuuga

Nova quietly listened to Blaze - egging her on as usual. She turned her head to him and laughed to herself, low enough the others would assume she huffed at him. It truly was a pleasure to have Blaze in her life, to her it was like having a best friend. A platonic best friend , for life. The only issue would be his mate spewing off jealousy and potential rifting them apart. However, Nova paid it no mind. "Don't stray to far - I have something I want to ask you." she called to Blaze, but ultimately - he too was dismissed with the rest of the wolves. She did not want Willow to feel uncomfortable being around two wolves she did not know.

Her ears flickered thinking of the conversation that had before coming over here. As much as she did not want to face the truth, Blaze was right -- Nova held the burden of all even though she had her own going too. She was determined to move forward and sometimes forced herself to put her own problems aside to hold the pack together. Nova had to be the glue after the massacre that took place before.

She snapped herself out of her own thoughts when his voice rang again. "You should try listening to him sometimes. He's my trusted lead fighter, for now." her voice lowered towards the end, almost inaudible. The reminder of her wanting to ask him something pinned a note to the cork board. Another task to her never ending list.

The luna could not resist the urge to grin when he compliment the way she handled things. Little did he know, a lot of it had to do with training and the mental strength she retained over her short three years of life. She turned her attention to him once again, her expression undetected. "I appreciate you, I think you might want to consider my offer earlier. I could use a second in command to.. I don't know , help take some of the load off my shoulders." she jokingly teased with him. While she would still accept him saying 'no' and facing the pack on her own -- deeply she hoped he would say yes. Not that she was desperate for help, but Blaze knew the pack just as much as she. It would only make sense to her that they covered Redmoon together, even if he did not want to become the Alpha after her reign - he had no worries as she would pass on leadership to her own pups.

Nova's panning gaze landed on the others, Akiro and Gauge were discussing something. Her ears tilted forward, not necessarily to listen, in case there was trouble or they needed to share something with her. Gauge had apologized to River, Nova's eyebrow arched and a doll gaze followed. She turned to Blaze wondering if he knew what they were talking about- but before Nova could have asked Gauge she was off to go see Castor. Nova flicked her tail, sort of content. "Can you make sure Gauge is alright?" she asked of Blaze. Knowing that he would do it anyways. When everyone had cleared, except for Willow she looked over to the young wolf. "For now, please join the others. I will find you later to officially welcome you to our home." she dipped her head at the she wolf. The sudden change in direction might have been confusing for her. Her attention returned to Blaze as the rest of the wolves followed command.

When they were finally alone again Nova's expression changed. It was oblivious that she had something lingering in her mind. While she never meant to compete with Gauge - it was clear that she was not trusted. Slowly, she closed her eyes again and took a deep breath. "Do you think she'll ever let go of our past?" she asked. While initially she could understand where Gauge had come from. Nova was a lot of things and new to the pack, to some she could have been seen as a threat. However, Nova had always done her diligence in insuring that the pack had trust in her. Even when the past leader steadily turned on everyone, Nova protected all of them.

"I'm sure it was difficult realizing another wolf could potentially become mates with someone we like. It seems like she's never forgiven me - although we've always been... friends." she choked out the last word. Back then she often lied to herself, she enjoyed being around Blaze more than she liked to admit, however, she respected a mated pair. Nothing she did when around Blaze was ever out of order. Nova opened her eyes again, but this time her gaze had met the floor. As if she were quietly dissociating with everything. Sometimes the Luna just needed a break before she tipped off the edge. For the time being, she couldn't face him while talking. Her stomach pit started to growl -- brewing unsettling emotions again, she exhaled trying to soothe herself. Her ears tilted backwards, she despised the feeling or turmoil in her emotions. "I'm sorry, I should not have asked that." she quickly apologized. She knew that she was totally out of place asking him about her. "Keep an eye on the pack, please. I need a moment." she spoke quietly before taking a slow walk back to her den.

The Luna wandered through the crowds of wolves, watching as they all stuffed their stomachs with glee. She occasionally smiled and dipped her maw at anyone who saw her. Packing up all of her emotions into the back of her mind. She would never let them see her fret. Her tail slowly wagged as she neared the pile of food. The aroma drawing her in like a siren in foggy waters. She tore off a few pieces, some for herself and others for any pups that may come to eat.

Her tail dropped just after she gathered her share of food, she eased her way back to her den. The cave like den was too large for just her. It was an empty nest, a harsh reminder of something she dearly yearned for. Nova sighed softly before going to the back of her den. At the back of her abode, Nova spun a few circles before she plopped her belly to the floor and went to town on her lunch. After she devoured the flavorless meat , she laid her head on her paws and closed her eyes to meditate.

[ Rank ] Redmoon Fighter [ Age ] 1 Year Old [ Crush ] open [ Tag ] Nanuq

Niko silently observed his uncle, ears perked for proper hearing. He pondered in thought over Nanuq's words. Thinking can be a dangerous thing - not sure what Nanuq meant by the phrase. It had to be something wise, way beyond his years. The fighter shook his head - releasing himself from the confusing thoughts. He let out a light chuckle, amused in the choice of words. "I have a lot to discover about myself. Don't you think?" his head cocked. Certainly, Niko wouldn't be fully developed at his young age. This would be his first year with some type of independence being that his mother had to keep her eyes on the younger two pups.

He grunted in disapproval of finding anything. The only thing out there that wasn't necessarily nature - was Niko and now Nanuq. "No, the quiet is a bit eerie." he began, Niko's deep brown eyes panned over the grounds around them. Snow melting under the suns golden beams, exposing the earth's greens beneath them. Spring finally waking up - no more snow. A sigh of relief escaped at the realization of what's to come. Warmer weather and no more avalanches - for now.

A bushy tail flicked behind him full of content. He could not be more grateful to have his uncle around. Nanuq eased into things, often times providing an insight on simple things that crossed Niko's ever racing mind. "I'm heading back, I'm sure my parents are dying to know my where about" sarcasm carried well in his town and if he could, he'd roll his eyes. He was sure they were off doing their duties, at least his dad would be. It was a shot in the dark, but Niko was guessing Gauge returned back to the pack. Especially with no one to look after the pups, Niko wasn't going to do it. If it wasn't evident that he was not pleased about gaining new family members, he was exactly a softie for pups. Sometimes he wondered how anyone managed caring for them for such a period of time.

Niko's frame rose atop of his ash brown paws, ready to take himself back to the campground. If Nanuq was here, to him that meant his parents weren't far behind from coming to find them. He wasn't exactly in the mood for a family meeting. Niko met the gaze of Nanuq, "You never answered my question. Why are YOU out here?" he questioned again, typically the hunters and fighters didn't run in tight circles, unless told to.

Athena
[ Rank ] Starlight Hunter [ Age ] 2 Years Old [ Crush ] open [ Tag ] Risen

After giving the other hunters space, she found herself alone again. It was not unusual for her to be by herself, she enjoyed her solitude. Nothing brought peace to Athena like being alone and hunting. Still laying on her stomach, she licked at her paw to swill away any matted fur. It took her three moons to heal, certainly not something she was pleased with. All she could do was lounge around and try to converse with others until she healed. Athena shifted her weight on all of her other paws and rose from the soaked ground. Water coated her underbelly, leaving damp stains in her fur. She observed her surroundings, watching as Kiyu tore food off for the high ranks. Something she truly admired about the young wolf, her willingness to help - even if that wasn't her job. The edge of her maw cradled to a smirk, before she scanned over everyone again. Shortly after Kiyu's return, the wolves had began to eat - signaling to her that it was okay to grub. Her tail wagged with excitement, she could not wait to demolish her meal.

She was left to wallow in her thoughts until Risen had dropped food at her paws. Her eyes blinked twice, surprised by his action. Eyes seemingly glued to the meal at her paws, she didn't have to get up. When she realized he was still standing in front of her, their gaze reached one another. He said nothing --- that wasn't out of the usual for him. Athena's eyes sparkled like a moonlight twinkle in the serene river water.

Their gaze did not drop when he backed away from her, inching further into his outcast ways. Even without him saying a single word, she knew exactly what he wanted. Typically, she'd give a sassy remark -- like she did when she spoke to their healer , Scythe. However, Risen was sweet to her, it should have been no surprise that he'd brought her food. Her maw dipped, respectfully thanking him for presenting her with food she did not have to get up to get. Despite her already being up.

"Thank you, Risen." her voice airy, soft. She situated herself back down again, using her finally healed paw to reel in the food he provided her. With one paw holding the meat, her muzzle leaded forward to rip it to smaller pieces. While she wasn't paying attention to it, the wind's howl had finally settled and the sun kissed the ground again. The air -- no longer brisk as before, started to slowly gain a warmer temp. Spring was peaking from the curtains and she would be ready to embrace it.

It did not take long for her to eat, but before Risen could escape her sight -- she wandered over to the gathered food. Patiently waited until those in front of her had gotten their fair share -- then tugged a reasonable chunk off for him. Her eyes panning, dribbling a droll look until she found him again. Athena slowly made her way over to him, mentally monitoring her paw still. In her opinion, she was one of the best hunters this pack had and the last thing she wanted was to reinsure herself.

The gap between her and Risen drew shorter with each step that she took. When she was close enough for her own comfort, she gently placed the meal at his paws. Her green eyes shimmered with content and care, she nudged the food towards him. "We can go tit for tat." She spoke in a playful yet soft voice. This is the closest she's ever gotten to Risen. The smell of this wolf filled her nose, a heady mix of earth and pine needles -- raw and untamed. To some that could be repulsive, but to her it pulled on a few strings. Athena steadily placed her rear end on the ground and curled her plush black tail against her side. She cocked her head, waiting for him to eat - just as he did to her before.

She looked behind her a bit as she left the riverbank and the younger female wolf alone there to catch some fish. She walked not too far to get some berries she noticed on their walk earlier. Sighing a bit she looked around for a bit before turning to look at some branches with most of the berries on them. She collected as much as she could without crushing them.

She looked after Risen walking to the prey as she was asked him to take a bite, the male didn't say much anything which didn't bother her at all. She saw Athena there as well, coming to the prey and speaking to Risen. She looked to her sister and then back to Kiyu "Yes, trying to good, any of us could get nowhere without trying a bit" she said to her, with a smirk for her word about the luna and lead hunter being satisfied about the leg "yes, for now, they could be satisfied, but one leg is not going last long for a two grown up wolf to share" she said to her. She looked as if she got to eat some, but she waited a bit for anyone who could be first in to eat before her, there were already fighters eating, but maybe she just wanted to be patient as a newly made warrior. She flicked her ears a bit as she didn't see her mother or her new healer apprentice yet, could they be still out? She sighed a bit as she wondered to save some good spots for them, as none of them didn't want to anger her mother the healer.

YOMI
female pup/ training TB hunter - crush is open - tags: Ermin, Kuroyuki, hunters, Yuui, Goliath

She waited a bit for the two males to approve the prey. her ears perked a bit as she listened to them talking to each other "Are you two doing some kind of training?" she questioned them looking at Yuui "So you wish to become a warrior perhaps?" she asked the male pup as she takes a look to the prey a bit.

ERMIN
male hunter - crush/mate is Kuroyuki/open - tags: Yomi, Kuroyuki, hunters

He waited a bit for the pack to come to the prey, leaving some space for those who came to eat it. He was being taught by his parents that as a hunter you could never be the first to eat you're the first to catch the prey to the pack, but you could be patient enough to let the others eat before eating anything. He looked as the Kiyu delivered the leg to the luna and Cýpher and now most of the pack was sharing the prey, he still waited a bit so some of them could stop eating and he could take some too.

REDMOON PACK

CASTOR
male lead hunter - crush/ mate maybe Koll/ open - tags: Lab, Kane, Koll, pups, Gauge

He looked at the luna and the lead warrior, as well as the others around them, including the Hyuuga and the young female alongside the black-furred male. He stayed silent only listening to them as he didn't want to interrupt them in any way, he shook his head a bit as he heard Luna mentioning the prey which meant he didn't need to inform them of the prey being there. He looked over to the prey once more as he saw his brother eating one leg with the two siblings, also the pups were there now. He looked at Gauge and River there hearing some of the latest words the warrior said to the young hunter, which made him wonder did his words earlier really hurt them that much, he didn't even know they could be taken that seriously. He sighed a bit flicking his tail as the female came to talk to him "Stop apologizing to me, it was all my fault, I overreacted the situation that's all, everything has been so stressful lately, but if that's what the lead warrior asked you to do then so be it" he said to her "so just forget anything happened I do the same" he said to her. He looked over to the prey once again as he turned toward it, hearing Azure speaking about who eats first "Azure, you're a growing wolf, pups always eat first" he called out to him.

LABRADOR
male hunter - crush/mate is Kane/ open - tags: Castor, Kane, Koll

He took a look at Kane as he spoke "Someone has to be strong, even you could become if you just...carried those deer alone every day" he said with a sight "I am not even that strong that others could be like the warriors, they are much stronger than I could ever be, but being able to carry a prey back to camp is fine with me, I don't want to be a super wolf" he said to him. He listened to the rest of the other hunters speaking to him "I see, yes I noticed him being shy one, nothing wrong with that...it's just...my brother is very easily misunderstanding type like what we saw earlier today..." he said to him. shaking his head a bit "what friend? what are you planning at? anyway, there is no hurry to find a mate, I guess you find it better without looking actually..." he said as he took a bite of the leg a bit.

KIZO
female pup - crush is open - tags: Azure

She got to the prey but stopped to look back at Azure a bit "What are you talking about, we don't eat that much and I think it could be cruel to the alphas to let us eat last" she said as she looked the lead hunter a bit "just like he said we're growing up wolves and we need food to become strong and healthy" she said to him.

KIOKU
female pup - crush is open - tags: Azure, hunters

She walked over to the prey starting to take a bite there, she looked back to her sister and Azure "Yes, yes, come on Azure, nobody will be angry at you to eat, instead I think they could get angry for you not to eat anything and likely starve to death" she said to him as she swallowed her bite.

NO PACK YET

HYUUGA
male loner (Redmoon) - crush is Ghost (maybe) - tags: Willow, Gauge, River, Akiro, Nova, Blaze

He looked at the kind of weird situation between the Luna, the lead warrior, and the Gauge there, he didn't really get what was going on there, but didn't ask anything about it either. He looked the Luna once again as she spoke "Well I guess I could see the healer...it's not like they could do anything anymore, my leg is already...done...or almost anyway as I still have it..." he said as he looked to his injured leg, which was only barely on the ground, he could walk on it, but it felt weak compared to his three other legs or maybe he could start using it more often. He was already used to walking on his three legs, without giving much weight to the injured leg. He noticed the look the Luna and lead warrior gave to Willow, which he knew to happen, they could not trust strangers immediately "She is a reason I was able to come back here, without her help I could be likely dead...so I trust her to not causing any problems to you or the pack" he decided to say as maybe it could ease the situation a bit. He nodded to the luna and looked to Willow again "Go on, they don't bite...hard anyway" he said to her with a flick of his tail.

WILLOW
female loner (Redmoon) - crush will be Niko - tags: Hyuuga, Gauge, River, Akiro, Nova, Blaze

She stayed mostly silent as she let the Hyuuga speak to the pack's alpha female and the other wolf which seemed rather a high ranking wolf as well, but she didn't start guessing what was his rank on the pack. She flicked her ears a bit as she saw the little awkward or weird situation between the strong male wolf and Gauge, wondering what was that all about but didn't question that either. She gave a smile to River a bit and flicked her tail to her, she felt like maybe she could be friends with her as she seemed nice enough, well for now all of the Redmoon wolves were nice to her, but she was already preparing for those who could not likely welcome her as there was always those kind of wolves. She turned to Luna again as she was now talking to her "...no I am not from this pack, I am from the mountain pack far away...well it's not really a pack anymore, but anyway..." she muttered a bit wondering that she could no need to tell her life story to them if they didn't ask it "My name is Willow" she responded to her.

Starlight Pack |Female | Luna |4 years | crush: open | tags: Cypher

Risen’s ears twitched at the approaching pawsteps, though he didn’t lift his head right away. He had hoped to slip away unnoticed—just as he always did—but Athena was not so easily avoided. The scent of her, a mix of fresh earth and something wilder, reached him before her voice did. His amber eyes flickered up just in time to see her place a chunk of meat at his paws. His body tensed slightly, his mind scrambling for a response. No one had ever done this for him before. He had always been the one to leave things behind, to disappear before thanks could be spoken. Yet, here she was, nudging the food toward him with an amused gleam in her eye.

"Tit for tat," she said, her voice lilting with playful challenge.

Risen exhaled sharply, the closest thing to a chuckle he could manage. His ears twitched as he looked down at the meal, then back up at her with a slow, pointed glance—one that clearly said, You didn’t have to do this. He hesitated only a moment before leaning down, sinking his teeth into the meat she had offered. As he chewed, he flicked his gaze toward her, studying the way she sat so comfortably near him, her tail curled neatly against her side. She was waiting. Expecting something from him.

Risen swallowed and tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing just a fraction in feigned scrutiny. Then, with exaggerated slowness, he nosed the remaining half of his meal toward her, as if testing her commitment to this little exchange. His lips barely parted, the start of a rare, teasing response forming—but at the last second, he swallowed it back. Instead, he simply held her gaze, the smallest smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

If she wanted tit for tat, she’d have to work for it.

𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚣𝚎
RedMoon Pack | Gauge ♥ | lead fighter |3 years | tags: Nova, Gauge
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Blaze had always enjoyed pushing Nova’s buttons, teasing her when the weight of leadership sat too heavily on her shoulders. But tonight, he could see the strain creeping into her expression—in the way her ears flicked ever so slightly when she thought too hard, the way she hesitated before speaking. He may have been the carefree one in the pack, but he wasn’t blind.

Her offer lingered between them, more serious than her joking tone let on. Second-in-command. The thought settled heavily in his chest. She had never outright asked him to step up before, but this wasn’t just a passing request. He knew Nova well enough to understand that. She was prepared to bear the burden alone, as always, but something in her—maybe exhaustion, maybe trust—was letting her reach for help. Blaze exhaled, rubbing his jaw with a paw before glancing at her again. "You know I’ll always have your back," he said, his voice steady but laced with something softer, something unsaid. "But second-in-command? That’s a big step, Nova. You sure you trust me with all that responsibility?"

There was a teasing note to his voice, but the question was real. He wasn’t afraid of leading, not really—but committing to something like this meant more than just standing at her side. It meant taking on a role he never thought he’d have. It meant putting the pack first in a way he’d never had to before. And most of all, it meant making sure Nova never had to carry the weight of Redmoon alone again. When she asked him to check on Gauge, he nodded without hesitation. "I’ll handle it," he reassured her. Whatever was going on, he’d get to the bottom of it. He always did. But then, Nova’s expression changed. Her usual confidence flickered, just for a moment, replaced by something distant. Blaze’s ears tilted forward slightly, listening, watching as she hesitated before speaking again.

"Do you think she'll ever let go of our past?"

Blaze’s jaw tightened slightly. He should have seen this coming. The tension between Nova and Gauge had never truly settled, even as time passed. Even as they both tried to pretend it had. His gaze softened as he considered his words. "I don’t know if she’ll ever let go," he admitted after a moment, his voice quieter. "Some wolves hold on to things because it’s easier than facing the truth." His tail flicked as he sighed. "But you don’t have to carry that burden alone. Not everything is on you." She didn’t respond right away. Instead, her gaze dropped to the ground, her body language closing off in a way that made Blaze’s chest tighten. He knew her well enough to recognize when she was putting up walls—not against him, but against herself. Against the things she refused to let herself feel.

"I'm sorry, I should not have asked that."

Her apology felt misplaced, and Blaze nearly scoffed. He wanted to tell her she didn’t need to apologize for speaking her mind. That she could say anything to him, and he’d take it in stride. That he wanted her to lean on him, even when it wasn’t easy. But he also knew Nova. If he pushed too much, she’d retreat further. So instead, he simply gave her space. "Take your moment," he murmured, just loud enough for her to hear as she turned away. "I’ve got the pack."

He watched her go, his ears twitching as she disappeared into the crowd of wolves. His chest felt heavier than before, but he pushed the feeling aside. There would be time to deal with that later. For now, he had a job to do. With a final glance toward Nova’s retreating form, Blaze turned on his paws and padded through the shifting bodies of the pack, his eyes locking onto Gauge. She stood slightly apart, her posture tense, her eyes distant. As he approached, he didn’t call out to her right away. He had learned long ago that Gauge wasn’t one to appreciate being hovered over, and he had no intention of setting her further on edge. Instead, he observed. The way her ears flicked toward any movement around her, the way her tail barely moved, held just a little too stiffly. She had been deep in thought before he arrived, and whatever was on her mind, it wasn’t something she’d shake easily.

His eyes briefly shifted toward Castor, who had walked away not long before. Blaze had seen the exchange from a distance—the way Castor had dipped his head, a rare show of humility from him. He didn’t need to hear the words to understand what had happened. An apology. That was rare. Blaze came to a slow stop beside Gauge, giving her enough space to breathe, but making sure she knew he was there. He studied her for a moment before speaking. "You alright?" His voice was low, steady—without expectation, without pressure. He wasn’t here to pry. He just needed to make sure she was okay. That was all that mattered. His gaze flickered toward the direction Castor had gone before settling on her again. "I saw him come over," he noted, keeping his tone even. "What did he say? If he was upset I asked you to take River, I can go speak with him." He didn’t expect an immediate answer. He didn’t expect anything at all. But if something was weighing on her, he’d listen. Just as he always had.

River sat quietly, her gaze fixed on Nova as she moved through the pack with her usual commanding presence. There was a certain grace in the way the Luna handled things—always measured, always careful, even when the weight of leadership pressed down on her. Watching as Nova officially welcomed Willow into the pack and acknowledged Hyuuga’s return, River felt a strange mix of emotions stir within her. Acceptance was never guaranteed in Redmoon, yet Nova had always made it seem so effortless.

She observed the wolves around her, noting the way some dipped their heads respectfully while others exchanged quiet murmurs, adjusting to the presence of new and returning faces. The air was lighter now, the tension from earlier fading as they were all dismissed to eat and converse. River remained still for a moment, watching as the others began to disperse toward the food. Her ears flicked as laughter and casual conversations rippled through the camp. It was moments like these—simple, unburdened—that reminded her of why the pack mattered. Why unity, no matter how fragile, was worth preserving.

Her gaze drifted toward Willow, the newest addition among them. Adjusting to a new pack was never easy, and River knew how isolating it could feel to stand among wolves who had long since built their bonds. Turning toward her, she offered a small, friendly nod. "Would you like to go find a piece of food?" she asked, keeping her voice light. A small gesture, but one that could make all the difference.

Redmoon

Gauge- f- 3 y 3 mo- Fighter- bi- mate: Blaze- Niko/Kizo and Kioku- Tags: Akiro/ River, Hyuuga, Willow, Blaze, Nova/ Castor

The black phase she wolf sighed but nodded to the male. If he wanted her to stop apologizing, she’d stop apologizing then. He said he was going to forget about it now. She nodded and said “Okay…we can just move on from it then.” She wanted to tell him it hadn’t really been his fault either, though. She shouldn’t really have gotten annoyed at him for asking. She said “I’m sor- I mean, I hope you can feel less stressed soon.” He’d said not to apologize anymore, so instead of saying she was sorry he was stressed, she changed the wording. She turned to look at the pups. She nudged Azure a bit, saying “Eat.” She then looked at the twins, and said “Hello girls. I don’t think there’s anymore work today, so I could hang out with you three if you like.” She then twitched her ears back. She could hear paws approaching, so her ears moved back towards the sound. For a moment, she wondered if it was Niko. She was worried about him, he didn’t seem to be in the camp…

She turned her body finally, to see who it was. When she saw it was Blaze and not Niko, she drooped for a bit…but then perked back up. She wagged her tail a bit as she looked at her mate. She then tilted her head as she listened to what he said. She said “I’m fine now, though I was a bit worried that he might be upset with me. I got…a bit defensive with him earlier. When he walked away to get the other hunters, he’d seemed upset. You…could go talk to him I guess, but he told me to stop apologizing. He said it was his fault, which it wasn’t really his fault or mine. He said he was stressed out today, and overreacted. He told me we should just both forget about it. If you really want to talk to him, you can, I just don’t want him getting upset again. I feel bad he’s been stressed out.” She could understand it too, with all their lost packmates…They’d brought one back though, and a new one to boot. She then said “Hey Blaze…have you seen Niko recently, did he leave camp?”

Akiro- m- 2 y 3 mo- Fighter- homosexual- crush: Castor maybe, definitely Koll- Tags: River, Willow

The reddish looking male twitched darker ears. His darker tipped tail flicked, and he glanced to the others a moment. He then looked around a moment, trying to find Niko. The other didn’t seem to be there, so he sighed and shook his head. He flicked his tail a second time, and glanced to the two she wolves. He watched as Luna Nova spoke to Blaze, but then she hurried away. He shook his head, and turned his attention to the other two she wolves. He smiled a canine smile, and trotted over to them.

He asked “Do you two mind if I join you? I don’t see Niko…so he must be out of the camp right now,” he said, and shook his head a couple times. He twitched his ears, unable to help himself looking around again. He then shook his head twice more, making that four times.

The blue-gray pup and white pup twitched his ears. He flicked his little tail back and forth, and stared up at Castor for a moment. He then nodded to him, as well as Gauge. When she nudged him a bit, he wagged his little tail once more, then looked at the twins. He nodded at them, saying “She wants to hang out. Could we…let her hang out with us when we’re done eating?” He glanced from Kizo to Kioku. Then walked closer to the meat, nipping at it then shaking his head, before actually pulling off a piece.

He wagged his tail a bit.

He looked at Yomi, and shook his head at her. Saying “I don’t know if I could be a fighter…as I’ve never really liked having to fight others. At least having these kinds of skills could be good, though. I could use them for self defense, if anything.”

Kuroyuki- m, f at times- 2 y 9 mo- hunter- crush: Mikage, Ermin- Tags: Ermin

The black phase one flicked their white tipped tail back and forth. He watched the others either going off to get other wolves, or getting meat. He shook his head a couple times. He turned his attention to Ermin, and giggled a bit as he looked at him. He said “You can eat now, you know.” He didn’t really see many of the others there yet.

The golden-cream slender and slightly smaller female dipped her head under again. She finally managed to catch another fish. It was a medium sized fish, so she felt a bit better now. She nodded her head to herself, and decided to try for an another fish. She caught a second fish, then moved back. Going to find where Scythe was.

Of course Niko had come up with a smart remark, Nanuq shouldn’t have even been surprised. Niko had always been very quick-witted – admirably so. “Sure,” he agreed simply, giving in with a half nod of his head. “But do tell me, what’re you discovering out here?” That twinkle in his eye returned as he pushed back playfully, almost completely forgetting why he had come out here in the first place. “Do the birds like to give you wise words of wisdom? The mice, perhaps?”

The atmosphere that shielded them was light, lacking any cloudy tension that may have existed when Nanuq first approached the young fighter. It was almost as if the sun had melted it away, replacing it with a serene feeling of youthful wit and comforting familiarity. Niko genuinely did look less bothered than before, which also was of no surprise to Nanuq. He had been that wolf, too, eager to physically remove himself from a conversation the moment he no longer felt his point was receiving the validation he desired. Being alone really did help, at most times. You could at least be reassured that your mind was on your side, if others weren’t. Chatting aloud wasn’t the worst of things, either, although Nanuq had to admit, he had been caught deep in conversation with inanimate objects an embarrassing number of times.

When Niko brought up the topic of his parents, Nanuq couldn’t erase the sheepish look on his face even if he tried. He hadn’t mentioned coming out here because he had seen the last few seconds of that conversation. Niko wasn’t stupid, though; Nanuq was sure he had caught on pretty quickly. Yet being out alone with his nephew was a nice reminder of how much Nanuq enjoyed hanging around him. With the recent events and the flurry of action leading up to this very day, it was hard to have quiet moments.

Whaaat?” His voice shook ever-so-slightly, an awkward attempt to hold back something that sounded along the lines of a laugh. “I’m sure they wouldn’t even know you’re gone. Oh! I mean –” he clamped his jaw shut for a second, squeezed his eyes closed, and shook his head defeatedly – “you know what I mean.” His amber eyes found Niko’s a moment later. “I think they feel pretty bad,” he continued in all seriousness. Not that your feelings are invalid. Trust me, I get it. Just…” Nanuq’s voice trailed off once again and he gave a shrug of his shoulders. Niko surely knew what he was trying to get at, at least to some degree. Niko was growing older, more independent. Every pup had those frustrating moments with their parents where their words were dismissed far too early to simply let it go. “Look, Niko, I didn’t come out here to reprimand you, or bring a message from your parents. But I know your mom. Sometimes she just gets a bit too wrapped up in things. She’s also doing this mother thing for the first time, she didn’t have the opportunity of having her own litter with more than one pup. I’m sure figuring out how and where to dedicate her time to is something she’s still figuring out.” His head tilted ever-so-slightly, maintaining his thoughtful look in Niko’s direction. “You just have to tell her head-on. Knock it into her. And if she doesn’t listen, well… I’m not difficult to find.” A small smirk lingered on his face for a few seconds. It was sibling love, he would never actually harm her. But a little tackle wouldn’t hurt anyone.

His eyes widened and his head popped upright like he had just been caught doing something bad. “I’m… enjoying nature?” he answered weakly. Nanuq then sighed before letting out a puff of laughter. “Who am I kidding, you know why I’m out here. I wanted to make sure you were okay. Although a nice walk away from the chaos of the pack was needed. And for that I thank you.” Nanuq dipped his head dramatically before repositioning himself again. “If you’re ready to head back, I’m right behind you. But that’s up to you, and what feels right.”

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

The morning was delightfully quiet as Emmy trotted alongside the tree line that protected the camp, paws practically silent apart from the occasional whisk of the pads along what was left of the snow. Rarely did she leave the main camp alone, especially since the abrupt move, but something felt different today. Mother Nature’s home felt welcoming, silently encouraging her to stretch her legs and fill her lungs with the strong scent of pine and fresh, glistening snow. And so she did! Guilt tugged at her insides for not informing Koa of her solo journey, but he hadn’t been around when she made the decision, and Emmy was worried about bothering him. It was challenging not thinking about his reaction. Would he be angry that she left unannounced? What if she was needed for something? Just take a breath, you’re fine. Emmy practically gulped in a mouthful of fresh air to manage her heart rate. It wasn’t as if she was out here for no reason.

This was the perfect time of year for the healers, or at least in her opinion. The last snowfall tended to occur around now, and within a few days, buds of newly harvested greenery would begin to make their arrival. Emmy always tried making a detailed mental map of where everything was beginning to sprout, to make their collection journeys easier come the full bloom of springtime. She found joy in the discovery. This spring would be different; this new territory had yet to reveal what goods it would offer them. Right now, she was hoping rosemary would be one of those treats. The challenging part of the winter season was that with the lack of moisture in the air, herbs dried up constantly. Moss could only be so damp, and even if they were to try to use the moisture of the melting snow, the temperature typically didn’t agree with their collected greens. Dried herbs weren’t always a bad thing, but they were particularly difficult to chew and get down. Still rooted in the ground, freshly picked ones were always a special gift to have this time of year.

Much to her delight, the she-wolf’s eyes did in fact catch the slightest pinch of purple among several shades of green. Pleased, Emmy picked up her pace and headed towards the bushes. Only two stems of rosemary were present, leaving her to suspect that this was a result of a bird who likely dropped some seeds during one of its travels. Two was better than none! Carefully, Emmy picked the stem close to where it connected with the ground. The prickly her tickled her nose and she fought the urge to sneeze. Holding the herbs in her jaw, the fluffy white wolf descended back towards the camp.

There didn’t seem to be a lot of excitement when she returned, although she was quick to conclude that a patrol had just returned. Luna Nova wasn’t within eyesight, nor was Koa. She wasn’t too concerned; they were respectively busy most hours. Keeping to herself, Emmy made a beeline for the healer’s den. Upon arrival, she almost immediately dropped the rosemary, which was followed by a sneeze. And then another. She wrinkled her nose with a soft frown. “You never get any easier,” she scoldingly murmured to the rosemary, referring to its strong fragrance and prickly texture.

Becoming more aware of her surroundings, Emmy found herself tensing up a bit, as if someone was watching her. Her head shot to the right, and she nearly tumbled backwards in surprise. A large, dark wolf hidden by the shadows was resting, a look of disinterest or something of the sort across his face. “Oh!” she yipped in surprise. She could feel her ears growing warm; surely he had just witnessed her chatting to none other than the herbs she had just collected. “Who..?” Her voice trailed off and she stared at him quizzingly. He looked familiar, right? Maybe a bit, but he certainly wasn’t from her pack. “What..?”

Goliath
Starlight Warrior - Crush: Open - Tags: Yuui, Yomi

Goliath listened in to the two pups talking as he eyed the prey. A small smile formed on his face when he heard Yuui mention not wanting to become a warrior. The battle-scarred face and body of Goliath is enough to sway anyone away from battle.
“I’m glad you are considering it. Warrior or not, being able to fight is an essential skill” he told him as he tail swished from side to side slowly.
He glanced over at Yomi before taking a bite of the prey in front of him,
“You’re invited too, Yomi, if you want” he added.

Kane
Redmoon Hunter - Crush: Labrador - Tags: Labrador, Koll - Mentions: Gauge

Kane shook his head and chuckled,
“You can be strong for me” he told him, leaning his head on Labrador’s shoulder and cuddling close. “Youre my super wolf” he spoke softly, chuckling once more.
He let a moment of silence pass as Labrador explained Castor’s behaviour and questioned.
“I’m trying to find-“ he cut himself off as he spoke a bit too loud,
“I’m trying to find Koll a mate” he continued his voice more hushed.
“Gauge and I have spoken in the past, we want get Koll out there and taking to other wolves.” He explained. Kane quickly took a bite of the leg near where Labrador had eaten so it was easier to tear off.
He spoke after he finished his mouthful,
“I don’t think it’s going to be a ‘love comes to you’ situation, if that’s what you mean” he whispered,
“I have faith though” he added after another bite.
“You can tag along if you want?” He suggested.

Koll
Redmoon Hunter - Crush: Uncertain - Tags: Kane, Labrador

Koll finished his mouthful of prey then glanced over. Seeing both Labrador and Kane cuddling up and talking quietly to themselves made him feel slightly jealous. He had never had a crush, nor someone he really knows apart from Kane. He sighed softly and curled up into a small white fluffball.
Since Labrador was talking slightly louder that Kane he had picked up two words in particular.
Super wolf.
What does that mean? The thought raised Koll’s eyebrow as his tail swished while he processed the meaning.
‘Obviously a super wolf would be stronger, faster and smarter than the average wolf.’ He thought to himself,
‘In that case…the warriors’ he concluded. Now Koll has barely been around the warriors; he wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t know he existed, even though he helps provide food for them everyday.

Koll winced as his shoulder pulsed in pain. Slamming into that deer was not the right thing to do. If only he was bigger…
A normal hunter is already one and a half times the size of Koll…so what are warriors like? The thoughts processed in his head as he tried to picture what the warriors would look like up close. They had to be huge! To be that strong, that fast.

After being buried in his thoughts for a good moment, he rose slowly to his paws. His shoulder pounded to the strain of holding his body weight.
“I…I’m full” he spoke quietly,
“I’m gonna leave you two alone, I’ll be…somewhere” he added before turning to get ready to leave.

Dante

The sounds of the den slowly receded into the background and eventually a light sleep took him. Even in his rest he could not find peace; his mind simply would not let him. Dante stirred sometimes a low groan would escape his throat and when he attempted to shift his wait to better ease aches that formed all he did was aggravate things further causing a sharp throbbing pain in the flank he had the unfortunate pleasure of resting on. The cold stone floor, the herbs, the constant dull throb of his swollen eye, and the underlying musk of the enemy pack caught him in a space neither fully awake nor asleep where the edges of dreams can still linger but he was still vaguely aware of his confinement.

(Dream begins)

Weiss sat at the entrance of the den she and Dante claimed for themselves. The early morning sun was pouring in leaving pools of light in the darkest parts of the little dugout they shared together. Weiss like normal was awake before him waiting patiently for him to rise while watching the sun peek above the horizon to chase away the heavy fog that covered the lands like a thick blanket. Weiss was a pure vision of beauty. Her features were delicate yet strong, her muzzle slender, and her ears elegantly pointed, her coat a flawless expanse of pure white that seemed to catch and hold onto the faintest light. But to Dante it was her eyes that truly captivated. Her eyes were a striking, mesmerizing bronze, almost like molten sunlight captured in solid form. They held a depth of warmth and understanding, a gentle intelligence that seemed to see into the very soul. They were eyes that offered not just beauty, but reassurance, a silent promise of unwavering loyalty and unconditional love.

When she noticed Dante stir in his rest she moved toward him with fluid grace silently making her way to his side so when he opened his eyes she would be the first thing he sees. She gasped, feigning surprise when Dante opened his eyes and lifted his head, yawning, “Good morning, Dante. I was wondering when you were going to wake up…I thought you were going to sleep through the day. You must be exhausted.” Her voice was sweet and gentle, almost a whisper like a warm passing breeze. “I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve last seen you,” she said, waiting for Dante to finish yawning. Anyone could see that this morning was still fresh; birds chirped without a care, and dew from this morning’s fog still rested on the trees and surrounding foliage. Mornings had never since been so beautiful. Dante breathed in deeply the fresh scent of a day reborn anew, then looked over at his mate, giving her a sad, dejected look. “I could have slept a fortnight had I no reason to wake up. But I find my reason every day in you, even though you are no longer with me. It has been 27 full moons since I’ve last seen you. And if you were here, I’d have so much to tell you.” Even in a dream, Dante had no delusions about the death of Weiss. He’d woken up many times these past years, reduced to tears after having vivid dreams about Weiss that felt like memories they’d made or times they’d had.

Weiss listened to him with grace and a twinkle in her eye, unfazed. “Has it been that long?” she questioned, approaching to give him affections. “Yes, it has,” he answered. “And every waking day is an agony without you….” He rolled his head up to her and accepted her affections with quivering lips and swollen eyes. “Agony?” she said in a whisper, her wet nose inching closer to Dante’s. The word was said as if it were a joke not meant to be taken seriously. “Your pack, your Alpha, they need you. That’s not so agonizing, is it?” she reasoned with him in a voice like silk. “I am not with them. I do not know how many of them yet live, if any are alive at all. Our home, where we were raised, is gone. All those memories buried in the snow…” he said, his voice losing its determination to stay strong.

Weiss nosed him softly, begging his remaining eye to look upon her. “Have faith that you are not forgotten. You will find them, or they you. Together in this new land, you will forge new memories, new loves, and new lasting bonds. Have faith in that; it is all you need,” she said softly, continuing to try and reason with him. “You know I only have need of one thing, You—” they both spoke at the same time, but Weiss interrupted him and continued, “—Me, I know, Dante, but I am gone, and those that are still here have need of you more than you have need of this memory of me…okay? I didn’t mate with you because of your dashing good looks or rank. I chose you because, besides your gruffness, is a wolf who wants to be needed and loved. I wore down your edges, and now look at you…Mr. Beta wolf…she-wolves must be fawning over you…”

Dante was crying beneath this dream version of his mate; his words came in sections between breaths, “I…could…care…less…if they…were…” In his dream, he felt small, like a child having a fit over something he could not have. It was at this point in this dream world, where the sun had fallen beneath the horizon, indicating that the day had come to an end, Weiss’s bronze eyes looked out longingly into the dreamy night, then back down at Dante, who’d taken up a light sob, curled into a ball. Weiss just smiled at him, “Don’t you think you’re being just a bit childish?” She approached him, then laid down on top of him, forcing him to open up for a cuddle. Once it was done, and Dante was unhappily being cuddled, he answered, “No,” he said flatly. “Okay, fine, throw your fit, but it is bedtime now,” she nuzzled him softly. “No. No, it’s not. It is time to wake up. When I lay my head down and close my eyes, they will open to a world with you not in it,” he said sadly, with a sullen expression, as he accepted her affections before laying his head down on her hip. “You are the smartest dumb wolf I know. Of course I won’t be there. This is a dream, Dante. Goodnight, ———“

(Dream ends)

The sound of footfalls approaching from the outside of the healers den is what brought him back to the reality of his situation. But he did not rise since he was use to this fading in and out of sleep when wolves came and went from the healers den, instead he continued to desperately fight for another wink of sleep regardless of how long he may keep it. Dante remained unmoved even when the steps became audible since the wolf’s claws now collided with stone and heavily packed dirt. When the footfalls ceased he tensed waiting expectantly for something, anything, was it Nova? Or Blaze who’d come on orders to check on him? But it was nothing, the one who was guilty of the noise making sneezed twice in quick succession after dropping an herb with a fragrant recognizable scent.

‘Hmmm, who is the one that sneezes?’ He thought now fully awake. His interest was peeked since he had nothing better to do for the time being he figured why not see who this newcomer was since they announced themselves as they entered. Dante rolled onto his belly and rested his head between his paws, he knew he was going to regret that small effort later, then glared silently as the individual interacted with their surroundings seemingly unaware for just a brief moment that Dante was with them. Even with limited vision he still judged this one to be a she-wolf perhaps 36 moons of age, give or take because of his injuries. When that moment of clarity came and the she-wolf whipped her head towards him, now looking at him, he did not move. But he responded, “Oh, indeed. Gesundheit, my goodness.” He said in a dry hoarse voice raising his head best he could. “Who? That’s simple, I am somebody of minor importance, My name? Dante…” he then yawned and spoke again when he realized the she-wolf’s face had become a stabbing glare, “As for what….I couldn’t even begin to tell you.” Before letting his words settle he to glared back with question. “Did…Did they not tell you I was in here? Rude of them. What is your name? Or shall I call you, She-who speaks with plants?”

Starlight Pack |Female | Luna |4 years | crush: open | tags: Cypher

Blaze’s gaze settled on Gauge, his expression unreadable, but there was something steady in the way he stood—something unwavering. He let her words hang in the space between them before he finally spoke, his voice even, measured. “If he told you to stop apologizing, then let it go,” he said. “Holding onto it doesn’t change anything.” His tail flicked slightly as he watched her, noting the tension still in her stance. Even if she said she’d move on, Blaze knew Gauge too well—she felt things deeply, even if she didn’t always say it outright. And right now, she was still holding onto this.

He exhaled quietly through his nose. “You care. That’s why you feel bad,” he said, voice calm, matter-of-fact. “But guilt won’t help him. And it won’t help you either. He’ll get over it. So should you.” It wasn’t a dismissal, just a truth spoken plainly. When Gauge brought up Niko, Blaze’s ears flicked slightly. His gaze shifted toward the camp’s edge, thoughtful. He hadn’t seen the pup leave, but he wasn’t surprised either. Lately, Niko had been wandering, drifting—like he wasn’t sure where he was supposed to be. Blaze knew that feeling too well. “I haven’t seen him since this morning.” he said after a moment. “If he left, he’ll come back. But I’ll look for him later.”

He stepped closer to Gauge then—not touching her, but close enough that his presence was solid beside her. A quiet reassurance, the way he always gave it. “I won’t let him drift too far.” He replied flatly. Blaze's focus was on two things primarily these days. His job and NIko. Normally, he’d have already gone to track the pup down, but there was something else keeping him here. His eyes flicked toward the center of camp before shifting back to Gauge. “I have to stay,” he said simply. “Nova needs to talk to me soon.” There was no frustration in his tone, no reluctance—just fact. His duty to the pack, to his role, came first. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t thinking about Niko.

“I’ll find him as soon as I can,” he added after a brief pause. His gaze lingered on Gauge for a second longer before he said, quieter but firm, “You don’t have to carry all of this alone.” Then, as always, he left the words to sit, knowing she’d take them in her own time. He didn’t offer more than that—he didn’t need to. He was here, and that was enough. At least he hoped.

RedMoon Pack | female |2 years | crush: open | tags:Akiro, Willow
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

(Adding for a response to akiro)

River's eats flicked hearing another voice call out to her and Willow. Allowing her tail a soft wag of welcome. River turned to see Akiro who had asked to join them in Niko's absence. River offered a small smile to Akiro before nodding "Please! Feel free" she confirmed, happy for the additional company. Besides, this would show Willow that the pack was kind, and friends were easily made. Part of River's heart hurt realizing the last time she and Akiro had really shared a meal was when they had stumbled upon Milo, and had welcomed him into the pack. She closed her eyes a moment, hiding the hint of sadness that washed over her thinking of her newest friend that hadn't made it out of the avalanche. Opening her eyes, she refocused at the two wolves with her before wagging her tail once again.
