I feel the same way, there's so many stories I would write or make comics out of if I could but just know I'll never have the free time/patience/confidence etc to actually do it TwT I love hearing about your kitties of course either way! So real a lot of it is involving time and my inability to write my ideas down cohesively. But at least what I do have kinda solidifies the three in his palm as basically the main characters.

Absolutely! Some context: the colony they're from worships the moon, believing it to be their colony founder who turned in to the moon. As such they believe that when cats die, they join the moon in the sky, with the Ascended (ie Leaders) being the brightest so they can judge those upon the ground.

Pale Thorn would be the false star in this case, an outsider that came in alongside his comrades and wormed his way into the previous leader's good graces and became the last Destined (ie. Deputy) before she went missing. He of course is the cause of her disappearance, and has assumed the role due to tradition. He doesn't properly believe in the colony's traditions (as problematic as they can be) and is using it for his own gain, intending to never give up his position and forever using his influence to protect him and said position. He further divides the colony with old laws and beliefs to cause those that are fighting back to either be removed from the colony or subdued.

Summary: The title is primarily about Pale Thorn and his practices making him not a true traditional leader to the colony.

Copper Pounce loves his wife (Morning Bloom She/Her) and kids (Opal She/Her, Poppy He/Him, and Myrtle She/They) the most, but has general care for his colony members. Grackle Skip loves their family the most though only one remains (Starling Fall He/They), they also miss their dear friend Morningshine (She/Her).

It’s a bit hard to tell that.

Hes neither! Pale thorn is in the back and is a red colorpoint (of which always show tabby. they are also known as flamepoints). Red in points gets heavily diluted, which is why it may not be recognizable all the time.

The other tabby in the image (Reed Heart) is a Cinnamon Tabby with gold shading, making her undersides a lot lighter as well as warmer than even most Cinnamon Tabbies have.

XD cool. I actually was talking about him, because the image makes him look grayish/blue, but the tabby looks brown. So, thank you for telling me he’s actually a colorpoint. (We had a colorpoint im assuming, because had tabby, at the SPCA location I used to work at. She was flame point and so pretty.)

I assumed I just wanted to be sure no confusion was with either! The blue is very intentional, but his actual colors are underneath just a couple shading effects. Hes got creams in his actual design with no greys or blues, its just the lighting.

Thank you! I went through a lot of change with some names of my old cats, and others came more naturally. They all have at least some meaning beyond their appearance <3

I’ve got cats I’ve been using as warriors cats that aren’t originally warrior cats. So I had to make up warrior names for them.
