ace, even after everything, is a fairly happy go lucky person. she’s usually seen smiling and chatting away, though majority of the time she’s speaking with ghosts and simply looks crazy. she tries to cheer others up, even with poorly timed jokes. however, due to her speaking with and seeing the dead, she scares a majority of people. she knows things she shouldn’t because ghosts are gossips.

: ̗̀➛her father and mother met ten years after persephone’s tragic death, something that is still talked about to this day. when lil was two her father claimed her, making her one of very few demigods who always knew her godly parent. even more surprising is that hades was a very hands on father, whom she spent half of every year with since she was three.
: ̗̀➛ her mother married her step father when she was ten, she has always hated him and her step brother. she adored her half siblings, twins, who were born when she was 11. her half sister’s death haunts her, as she was blamed for the four year old’s death. a small group of harpies had taken the child when they could not reach the demigod, leaving notes to let her know that one day they’d come for her.

Ophelia Astor | 25 | Female | Child of Zeus

Appearance: Ophelia has black, curly hair that falls past her shoulders, and often has a feather or some beads woven into it. She has dark brown eyes that are often framed with a smokey eyeshadow and eyeliner. She stands at 5'6'', with a lithe build, and holds herself with a rigid posture that indicates she might flee at any moment. She has simple stud earlobe piercings in both ears, and has no particular scars or other markings on her dark skin.

Personality: Ophelia is a wary, somewhat cold person. She'll accept a brief conversation, but is certainly not willing to have a lengthy one. She's independent, and just cannot seem to let herself rely or depend on others. She very rarely seems to relax or even smile, and will usually stand in a room with others, even if there are seats available. She's not shy by any means, but just doesn't trust other people - she's been burnt too many times by other people to let herself make that mistake again. Ophelia has a bit of a sarcastic and defensive streak. However, if she does end up warming up to someone, she will become much friendlier and willing to talk - though perhaps still cautious. She also feels a lot of pressure to live up to greatness - being claimed as the daughter of Zeus would perhaps do that to someone - and may well be susceptible to being manipulated to making impulsive choices out of self-preservation and reluctance to let anyone in.

Bio: Ophelia was born, as many of Zeus' children, when the God had his eye caught by her mother. It didn't matter that she was already married, of course. Although she was claimed at 5 - an early age for most - Zeus is historically not the most... attentive of fathers, though did his best to conceal Ophelia's existence from Hera, and only visited two or three times a year, so she wasn't entirely disconnected from her true identity. Ophelia was forced to grow up quickly and learn that she could not rely on anyone to help her. With a younger sister, a (technically step-)father that left shortly after her (technically half-)sister was born and a mother that suffered PPD, Ophelia took on helping with her sister at 9. And then CPS got involved when she was 11. She tried hard to be the perfect foster kid, but placements didn't last more than a year or two, most wanting to just adopt her sister and not Ophelia. Eventually, though, her sister was adopted and Ophelia was alone. She left the system at 16, giving up hope for a real placement - although she was helped in finding a place to live, as well as having to pick up a job alongside school. Perhaps, though, it is for the best that she is separated from her sister... for her safety.

Appearance: Thomas has short, black hair that is typically neat, and occasionally has a small flower of some sort in it, and dark eyes. He stands at 6'1'', with an athletic, somewhat toned, build, and holds himself with a fairly relaxed, though not slouchy, posture. His fair skin does not have any particular scars or markings to note.

Personality: Thomas may at first come across as a bit cold and wary, though he just tends to be a bit unsure around others. However, is doesn't take too long for him to be more comfortable around new people, and will soon become warmer and friendlier. He struggles a little with letting himself open up, and will only do so with people that he is truly close to. He's always been curiously drawn to music, particularly finding joy in listening to live musicians, though not with actually playing it himself. He also has an exceeding patience, often known to be someone that can be leaned on and will listen. For those that he's close to, he'll show himself to be protective and deeply loyal. Still, Thomas also has an adventurous spirit, and is not afraid to take risks, even if they may be dangerous - much to the chagrin of his mother, Demeter, who would much rather he didn't do anything of the sort, and therefore he is often torn between following his adventurous side and obeying his mother.

Bio: Thomas was initially raised by his father, a single man, but very wealthy, so there was no shortage of nannies and other staff members that could help raise him - there weren't very many times Thomas spent a lot of time with his father, at least not until he was out of the toddler stage. That was up until his father died of cancer when Thomas was 12. From then, Demeter chose to claim him, raising him herself, and has been very protective over him - especially considering the death of Persephone years prior. However, Demeter did teach him his powers, how to control and hone them, and making sure he knew just how important it was to not get carried away with them.
Thomas often wishes he got to spend more real time with his father, and that he perhaps didn't push down his sense of adventure just to make his mother happy quite so much.
