Are Butterfly Wolves Wolf sized or butterfly sized?

Despite having been on this website for nearly a decade, I guess I hadn't really put much thought into what the butterfly wolves even are. I guess I thought they where tiny, maybe slightly bigger than a butterfly, but still fairy-esque.

But then I remembered that there are dog x butterfly wolf 2nd gen pets. Which are on the dog lines. Does this mean that they're the size of the dogs? Or are they wolf sized? The cocoon stage would be a bit... creepy if it was larger than a regular one lol.

I'd also always imagined them as pixies, so fitting in your hand more or less. Bigger than an insect, but far from wolf sized.
Depends on the bwolf though! Some I could see as Cool Edgy 2000's Wallpaper Angel Wolves type things

I always imagined them small. More butterfly sized, but not quite that small. Maybe like gerbil size?

I imagined them to be fairy like, small enough to fit on your hand. Considering that they start as caterpillars they’d need massive leaves if they were dog or wolf sized!

Good question about the dog x BWolf litters. That was during the Medieval Faire event and from memory you got the 2nd gens from the wizard. I can’t remember the full story but think maybe the BWolf or dog parents were magically transformed by a love potion for a period of time when you gave the wizard the token?

Now this is the kind of discussion I like to see, we’re asking the real questions here B) I never thought much about it (based on the standard b-wolf size compared to other species on CS I always assumed they were closer to dog-sized rather than anything else), but I feel like they’d have to be smaller/lighter than that for their wings to get them off the ground. Maybe comparable in size/weight to something like a gerbil?
