Ashstar watched the kits approach and nodded. He went over what words he would say in his head, and his happiness grew. He knew the clan would live strong, and these kits were proof. He flicked his tail eagerly, waiting until everyone was seated and the kits had come forward.

Excitement rippled through Firekit's belly when he heard his name. He trotted toward the Highrock with eager eyes. Bounding up the rock in little leaps, he soon settled down and waited for Ashstar to continue.

Lightkit bounced after Firekit, but she couldn't sit. She was standing up, but she was literatly bouncing on her feet.

"This is a proud day for Skyclan." Ashstar began. "By naming apprentices, we show that Skyclan will survive and remain strong." He smiled at the kits, pride shining in his eyes. His gaze stayed on Firekit. "Firekit, from now on untill you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Firepaw."

Windkit halted beside her sister and brother, watching as Firekit...no Firepaw stood before Ashstar. She felt her tail quiver and swallowed nervously. She glanced around at the gathered Clan.

Violetpaw pricked her ears as she heard Ashstar summon the four kits. Apprentice ceremony? She had really woken up late. She padded up to her mentor and sat down beside him.

Blackstorm trotted over and sat down among the other cats, a cheerful expression on her face. New apprentices! It was always exciting to see the clan grow like this.

Brackentail nodded and sat down at the base of Rockpile, curling his dark ginger tail around his paws. he wondered who would be chosen as mentors for the kits.
