Name:Djinn (de-jin)
Gender:M
Age:9 years, 4 months
Rank:Elder
Appearance:
Personality:Djinn is an old dog, and like most thoughts about old dogs, he can be quite cranky. His years have left him wisdom and intelligence above that of most of his pack. However, now he wishes to calm down in his life, and thus this can make him seem impatient. He doesn't enjoy loud noises or crowds, but prefers to be with a few. Most of his time is spent sleeping, resting, or otherwise looking back on his memories. At times he can be tired, but as an old dog, he can be very stubborn. Although Djinn acknowledges the pack laws and hierarchies, and times it seems he may be “testing the waters” so to speak. However, this may just be due to his impatience and his chance of snapping at others.
However, Djinn is not always the cranky dog he can seem to be. At times, he can seem his age. He enjoys giving advice, mostly to those that will listen, but he does enjoy pack life. Any patience he might have left in him is left for younger canines learning about the world, and in this time, he loves to tell stories about his own adventures and lessons. He takes an active part in pack life, and although he doesn't much enjoy the noise and busy activity, he does enjoy observing the daily life.
To put it simply, Djinn is like any other old dog. He enjoys his quite time and can be a bit snappy and impatient, but he loves telling stories and watching the younger canines go about their lives. As any, he loves being fed and having not to work, but nonetheless, he finds his place taking care of the newborns at times and giving advice to those that need it.
History:Djinn was not, in fact, born into the pack he was today. For most of his life, he had lived with his father's pack. For the most part, he lived a normal life. He was a boisterous young pup that loved to play around, especially where he shouldn't be. His life was very adventurous and he was quite mischievous, so of course, this didn't mix well. His eagerness for adventure had left him lost one day, and it had left with him in a reserve.
Now as a juvenile canine, at first Djinn was very fearful and uncertain. He wasn't home and there were strange creatures that walked upright, but that didn't mean he wasn't curious. Never did they hurt him, but never did he get used to them either. Over time, he simply stayed away and had minimal contact with any other animal. It was here that Djinn took in his father's advice and actually put his knowledge to use. Eventually, after a few months he was re-released to the plains of Africa.
From his, Djinn was now alone, but instinct took over and he learned to take care of himself. During this time, he canine was older and his cheerful demeanor calmed down to an easy going, thoughtful Dingo-Eater. After a few years of being alone, Djinn had come across the pack he has come to know and love. Thankful for their acceptance, Djinn has worked hard to find a place in his new home. He has worked to feed and help others and has also learned that rules should be followed. Djinn's knowledge has helped him settle down, earn himself a mate, and become the canine he is today.
