oh man, i wanna hoard love bug too. love bug, bff, and love you, though tbh love bug is my least favorite out of the three so maybe ill do something with the other two? who knows

When you decide to hoard for you personally what’s your reason for your choices?

Just curious cause for me it’s a few different reasons I have some for looks some for memorials .

oh man it Mostly boils down to aesthetics for me.

I've got a specific hoard for my puppy (in my sig) and my boyfriend who doesnt play went through the archive and sent me all the pets he likes that i will start hoarding in his honor.

other than that, purely aesthetics! usually dogs or cats but ive a few hoards of other animals too. sometimes the rarity plays a part just in like, if its a blue pet and its an omg so common, then the blues match and it makes it more appealing to me. also page fit! I really dont like when a full page of pets isn't aligned, so ill change the number im hoarding to make it even. i always default to one page (unless its one of my 3 unlimited hoards) so usually 20 pets, but i have some that are 18 or maybe less? just because a full 20 is uneven all together

i mostly hoard a pet if i like the design, or if they remind me on something i love, like certain foods or shows or my irl pets.

i started and already finished my valentine's hoards! all are checkered... i can't seem to help it lol. this hoard of five of the lovebird outcomes, these heart brindle ponies and the love you & love bug caterpillars.
i'm thinking about hoarding the cowboy babies since i hoarded the two during the event, but i think i'll wait until they're grown to decide.

Just curious cause for me it’s a few different reasons I have some for looks some for memorials .

It's all aesthetic, just pets I really like. Usually there's a specific moment when I see the pet/litter where I say oh this will make me unreasonably happy to see 20 of these in the same folder and that's all I really need! Almost all my hoards are Halloween pets that I really liked!! I love spooky things the most so this just makes sense lol, but holidays in general tend to have the more special lineart edits that make me extra happy to see. I did start out very sparingly making hoards when I first started playing, but I've been more willing to make more lately! :3

This made me realize I don't have a hoard for just a normal monthly outcome yet, hmm! If I started one, my first would HAVE to be this litter from June of last year!

I found them very pleasing to look at, and they just grew on my more and more over time! (... I already traded someone so I could have a full set that were adopted on my birthday <3) Well, why not... here's that hoard.

In others news...... I just know I'll be hoarding the new Major x Flux litter, I'm just so so happy for the gay lil cowboys! 😭💞 I think that'll just be an endless hoard, however many I end up with, no matter which outcome. It was COMPLETELY a litter that I immediately knew would make my heart happy to see. I got very lucky and adopted every outcome myself so I am already off to a good start there. :3 Okay, well ... :)
I'm glad to see the Valentines pets getting hoards, I do love those little candy heart caterpillars! Very pleasing to see! Have fun, everyone!

this year since i completed my all time site goal i might get to hoarding one outcome per month like i used to in the past! pick my favourite pet each month and get 20 of them, for good measure. and if i find one i particularly like maybe ill even go for 100!
im going to start out with this one

this entire litter was one of my favourites in a while haha, but this outcome in particular caught my eye more.

Just curious cause for me it’s a few different reasons I have some for looks some for memorials .

So I have a few hoards. I hoard the Wild West draft horses as they were just stunning and my favorite from the event. It is now in honor of my favorite draft horse rescue!

The "stuffed dogs" from Christmas of 2021 and the Cows from 2024 (I think those are the years) are for my son. He loves dogs and has a stuffed cow we call Mr Cow so that's why I started those hoards

My main hoard though is my Toxic hoard which started as I just wanted 2 of each to do couples but then I got 3 of the same one and just couldn't trade it so now it's the original couples plus their kids and their spouses 😂 I will be capping that one at 20 each!

Just curious cause for me it’s a few different reasons I have some for looks some for memorials .

I think I just see a pet, like it, then decide it reminds me of something, lol.
Like I was on a Sleep Token kick during the Halloween event and had to hoard one of the 2nd Gen Horses because it reminded me of the lead singer.
A couple others reminded me of poems or quotes I'm fond of, and a huge bunch of them are TV show/movie themed. There's even a couple that remind me of where I grew up.
I don't really have any memorials, unless you count my two cardinal hoards because my grandma loved those birds.
And then of course my Chinese New Year hoard has 14 years of memories attached to it. I'm not super collecting for it anymore, but I'll toss some pets in every year as long as CS and myself are still around.

well, I have to say personally for me it's about appearance mostly, I see something that really catches my eye and draws me in and I have to have more then just one lol
That happens a lot, I'd say close to a monthly basis now that I'm back to playing pretty regularly!
So many new cool designs I just love them!

But my big hoard my green toxics, is more sentimental. The green toxic was my first real dream pet when I started playing, I would always talk about it to my friends on here and I couldn't wait to achieve it.
Now years later, I have the 6 I have and I'm eager to just keep going.
Not only was it a first dream pet, but the first real design I just loved and never grew tired of as I got older.
One of my dear friends, who really helped me to encourage my goal and to even start the hoard said a statement about it I'll never forget. It was simple, but she said "when I think of you, the green toxic is one of the first things to come to mind! It like symbolizes you" and not only did I find that kinda funny, but it really inspired me to say to myself, "you know what, maybe I can do this hoard"
I adore each one so much.
This hoard will always be so dear, and special to my heart.


But to get back to it, that's why I hoard. For me I love vibrant colors, so if something has a vibrant green that meshes really well with its design I'm gonna hoard it.
A lot of my hoards are brightly colored, sometimes you'll see a more basic design and simplistic
But 95% of the time I go for a bright vibe
