"She's soft like a gentle breeze, with a smile as brilliant as the summer sun, and yet she somehow stole the frost from underneath my own feet with a simple thing... poetry."
♦ Cosette is young lady of higher standing; the child of powerful business moguls in the fashion industy who seek to use her as a societal piece in their ultimate game. Her beauty and poise are prized, trained from a young age in the city that values only the finest things. She appears in advertisements from makeup to dresses, to even the occasional interview to praise her family's business and name. However, she wants nothing more than to pursue her love of writing, penning the brilliant words flowing through her mind like petals on glistening snow. Her hands ache to tell the stories that play so vividly behind her eyelids, every sunset beckoning to be placed on paper.
♦ In Eudaemonia, everyone is happy and 'free', living life to the fullest of it's provided luxuries. No one weeps for the lower classes, nor do they expect anything less than champagne and golden things. It's a world of all that glitters, but its roots poison like a toxin no other could hope to ever re-create. Mirrors are jagged and the silk is painted sandpaper; scenes of falsehoods a commonality behind the rose tinted glances. It's a place that will always hide away the ugly truths, no matter how needed they may be. They ignore the world of magic beyond their technology and precious material things, clinging to them like a child to her mother's hip. Why question the things one cannot see when there's so much to fill the senses inside the walls? Beautiful, wonderful, glittering things. "Take a seat, stay awhile. You'll enjoy it here, you'll see."
♦ It's hard to have true friends in a city that plays make-believe, but the one person Cosette has ever found comfort in is her childhood friend, Wren. The two grew up together, playing during business meetings between parents and backstage interviews. She can still remember those days, when things felt right and whole. Playing pretend felt like the game it was meant to be, adding joy to the little moments. But as they grew, the distance of adulthood pulled at them like puppet strings, gently guiding them down different paths and away from the dreams they once shared. Despite it all, they stayed in touch. When the schedules were too hectic, simple emails kept them going, an old-fashioned way to communicate but trustworthy nonetheless.
♦ I genuinely picture this kal fitting perfectly for one of the missing pieces to making the city (world) of Eudaemonia wake up to the veil they're all under. Her words, her writing, could all be part of the key to helping the rich open their eyes to the monsters they've been dancing with, of the world outside the comforts of their gold and silver. She, along with Wren and others, will come to discover the lies they've been fed, and seek out the truth at the city's core.

"Threads of silk, spindles of cedar, each outfit is made to perfection! Pretty shoes, shiny pearls, crystal links, it doesn't matter, is what she thinks. Flowers for your hair, rings for your fingers, she's determined to make you see your everlasting beautiful."
♦ Softly does she step down the white ash floors, a smile plastered on her face. In her arms is her latest decision; a pretty gown meant for a would-be lovebird. She made her way down the hall and took a quick left, waltzing into a brightly lit room. Crystals hung like teardrops from the ceiling, the soft rays of sunlight filtering in through an open window. It smelled a little of stale mint and chocolate, the gentle breeze helping to deliver it to the senses. It was a little eccentric, she always found herself thinking that, but the man responsible was always too kind to bring it up to. He looked up from his desk, white hair framing diamond glasses, a soft smile on his features.
"Is that for Ms. Liu?" he asked, almost hesitant to get the guess wrong. He was always funny like that, she thought. Always a little out of tune but meaning far too well.
"Indeed it is, just as she requested," Euni beamed, holding the dress up to its full height. "It's exactly as she requested. Her sweetheart will love it so, I know it. He'll simply pass into the afterlife with wonder when he takes one look at her in this outfit. And if he doesn't? His. Absolute. Loss."
The matchmaker chuckled, a bit in amused disbelief. He wove a hand dismissively, his gaze landing on the papers on his desk. "Sounds splendid as always - though maybe we don't send him to the great beyond. We do need to get paid, after all."
Euni paused, before her smile widened, shaking her head with a teasing lilt to her voice, "Of course, of course! We'll collect payment before he sees her in this."
♦ Euni is a dressmaker and advocate for making people look their prettiest, working alongside the notable Eito in his matchmaker journey. Her goal and job is to fulfill the requests of those who seek a perfect match: to make them look like a dream on their first date. Be it with glitz and glamor or simple attire that leaves you breathless, her hope is to give every client the realization that they're truly beautiful.
♦ In Eterna, she was born to a family of notable seamstresses, their skills helping anyone from the poor unfortunate to near sparkling royalty. She learned her craft from each woman in her family - from her mother's sweet words to grandmother's weathered hands. Even her aunts and cousins often felt inclined to teach their own tricks. Every pinprick of a sewing needle and every stitch gone wrong were the ultimate teachers in her grand passion, helping guide her towards her job of helping wannabe couples. She's always been a romantic, watching with lovey-dovey eyes as pairs walked down the streets, arm in arm and whispering sweet nothings. Working for a matchmaker, in a way, has left her hoping one day she can learn a thing or two in snagging a potential suitor's interest herself. Nicely, of course!
"But, of course, he needs to know how to sew, cook, clean, dance, sing... Wait, where are you going?"
- Euni
♦ In her family runs an undercurrent of magic, just a simple inclination but powerful nonetheless in their craft. Each female born into the family has a gift that develops by age fourteen, a gift that aids in their construct. Euni's mother has the gift of imbuing fabric with memories, often finding her skills of good use for grieving loved ones. Her grandmother? The ability to know how old a stitch, cloth or article is. She can name down to the detail the day and year it was created. But Euni's gift was a little late, arriving when she was fifteen - a whole year late.
It left her wondering if she'd been cursed, or simply dishonored her family name in some way.
But to her surprise, her gift was that of instant knowledge; of what a person would want to wear most. The color, the texture, the length and style; she can tell exactly their hopes and inner dreams with one simple look. It allows her to make the best possible version of their desires, whether for a single outing or for a lifetime of use and comfort. To date her favorite thing she ever crafted was a simple shawl for her mother, silver blue threads featuring the lilacs embroidered on the surface, the ones Euni's father used to love so very much. It was born from a moment of watching her mother reminiscing, the day an anniversary of what should've been thirty years came and went.
♦ The world of Eterna is a comfort setting for me, where every character is the true focus. Each individual story is meant to be a highlight, not a side element to boost what might seem like the main characters of the world. For Euni, she feels like someone I can dive into the intricacies of being unique with. She's passionate and a little bit odd to some, but her heart always has the right meaning in mind. She's simply a girl who wants to make pretty outfits for people, and help them see just how beautiful they are, even if it takes some nice attire to help them open their eyes and see it for themselves. She's a little sassy but sweet, always offering a small challenge to boost others up in their goals. And, in truth, I really do see her being a gentle reminder to take things slow, look in the mirror, wash your face, and remember you're worth it.

- Fun Facts -
• She's always setting up bouquets of flowers around the shop, hoping the sight and scent will lighten up the otherwise old space.
• Her favorite colors are ivory and garnet red.
• Euni enjoys going for walks and people-watching, always playing the game of guessing what lives they may lead, what hobbies they might enjoy, what jobs they may work.
• Loves to keep her hair in some form of braid. She argues it's for convenience, but it's far easier to set wildflowers in one's hair when it's braided.
• Frozen treats are her favorite things to indulge in when given the chance, especially if it has fancy fixings like coconut and berries.
