Vinc is a thin, 6’0 man, who is both chaotic and well dressed at all times. His light brown hair falls in waves down to his chin, he is never clean shaven but he does prefer to keep his full beard short. He has dark brown eyes that are typically fairly expressive. His skin is a warm olive tone, surprisingly since he is a mix of russian and italian heritage. He is always in a clean pressed button up shirt, if theres sleeves he prefers to have them rolled up. He rotates between dark jeans and dark slacks, depends on how “fancy” he needs to appear any given day. He usually has a white lab coat on, with the occasional odd stain from an experiment. His black dress shoes are always out of place but if he had it his way he’d just go barefoot, always thinking shoes and socks some of the biggest wastes of money.

Vincent is very energetic, gives golden retriever energy as the younger crowd would call it. Easily excited when it comes to new discoveries, loud, and easily one of the smartest people in the room. Vinc is overtly particular about how things should be done, heaven forbid you mess with anything in their workspace. Vincent is detail oriented and loves to understand the hows and whys of just about anything. They are animated in explaining their interests and easy to be around as long as you don’t work with them. Vinc is a very animated person, always talking with their hands and making jokes that almost always only make sense in their own head.

Vincent has always been curious as to how the world works. As a small child he found himself always completing random tasks in the name of science and discovery. Perhaps it was because of his unstable home life, the foster care was not the kindest to him, but Vincent was always slightly eccentric in his pursuit of knowledge. From the few times he experimented on the world around him and from those times he experimented on himself. He was incredibly intelligent and excelled in his studies, landing himself a scholarship for collage. He has studied many different forms of science but has found botany to be his favorite, although xenobiology holds a particular interest to him.

━ personality x albedo is a bit of a chaotically free spirit. his one and singular mission is to be irritating; an annoyance to anyone and everyone. he has a very, very prominent 'yolo' mentality, and doesn't particularly care if others like him or not. he likes to have fun, and also quite enjoys bringing others in on said fun if they're willing to join him (frankly, he'll glower if they're not- but it's fine, it's whatever, yk?). even with this, he is very intelligent even if it may seem like he's lacking in that department. he's an incredibly fast, hands-on learner, but is slower with the 'watch-and-learn' concept.

he's very blunt and not one to sugar coat things; and tends to be seen as rather 'brutal' and """not nice""" with how he addresses issues or confronts things. he's also very blunt when it comes to his opinions on others, and doesn't bother much with keeping it to himself if he dislikes someone. with that, as well, he is rather opinionated and tends to be relatively stubborn when it comes to them; often being unwavering with most thoughts unless good reason is provided. he's not very compliant, and enjoys having his freedom; therefore has a tendency to be rather disobedient (within reason). he is a good listener, but he's not one to follow exactly what he's told without a little bit of backtalk first. he can be a good friend, and when it comes to it he is a good shoulder to lean on; but the level of comfort he provides depends heavily on how he feels about someone.

albedo heavily dislikes feeling small, and in these instances he becomes defensive and snappy. he's especially touchy when it comes to his insecurities, and if someone opts to target them- which doesn't take all too much time to figure out. he can become quite relentless when he's in this state of mind of trying not to make himself out to be vulnerable, and has said hurtful things to those that have poked at him one too many times in order to maintain that feeling of control that he seems to desperately need.

━ appearance x albedo stands at five foot ten inches, and is just within the average weight range for that height at one hundred and thirty seven pounds. he is thin and squirrely, and doesn't have very much muscle definition other than in his arms and legs, which hold most of his body weight. his hair is neatly cut and it's natural dark brown color; straight naturally, though he isn't a stranger to curling it one way or another for the looks of it. his eyes are a warm, dark brown; not really bordering black, but coming close. there are a few moles that litter his skin, as well, though none of them are of a significant size. he does have a birthmark that is around the width of a grapefruit, give or take the shape of it, on his right hip along with the few scars that sit at his hip as well. the other scars and blemishes are not important to note, although they do litter his body.

━ personality x rhyannon is quite the force to be reckoned with. she's bratty, snarky, and certainly likes having things go the way that she wants them to. she can come off as bossy depending on the situation, and may often take on a leadership role if there are others that refuse to do so; which can and has lead her to being quite domineering. she likes when things go smoothly and go her way; and she can appear to be abrasive in the cases things go a bit awry. she doesn't quite need to have control of the situation, but absolutely does not shy away from it if she senses that intervention is needed, or if someone else isn't happening to step up.

despite all of that, she truly is a sweet, caring person; although she doesn't just hand this out to anyone. she requires a rather close bond and understanding with others before she's giving her heart to them on a silver platter, otherwise they're truly only becoming familiar with a wall. she comes off as unfriendly and unapproachable, and generally this is true; rhyannon is incredibly aloof and difficult to get to know, masking most if not all of her personal life until she finds it a decent moment to open herself up to others. in the rare instance she is able to, she's a fiercely loyal person and is intensely protective of whoever is within her circle.

outwardly, rhyannon is a rather intelligent and extremely curious. a lot of the time she can be found doing research on mundane things to find better understandings of it, especially if she's not off studying her usual course. she's also very judgmental, almost to a fault, but she isn't ever too verbal about it; rather keeping these kinds of thoughts to herself to prevent any sort of bitter tension (and to prevent conflict, she just doesn't want to deal with it). she's otherwise, rather outwardly feminine and shameless about it; she enjoys frilly and stereotypically girly things, and if she had won that discussion with the higher departments, she'd be wearing flowy dresses on ship.

Name: Binary 'Non' Solana
Gender: Non-binary - They/them
Age: 29
Role: Scientist -- Focused on Xenobiology but has at least a passing knowledge in most fields due to the interconnected nature of it all
Appearance: Standing at about 5'11, Binary has more muscle than most probably expect from a scientist -- there's a lot of field work involved in studying xenofauna -- but its not immediately obvious through their clothes, the difference between toning muscles or bulking them up. Their hair is long, past their mid-back, and dyed a light blue. They are scarily consistent at keeping the color vibrant and touched up even on the ship -- no one but them knows what their natural hair color is for certain -- though their supply of dye is bound to fail them eventually. Their eyes, in contrast, are simply a dark brown.

Personality: Binary is a lot more intelligent than they may come across in conversation. Speaking to them, they come across as rather un-serious. Never above a reckless dare or dumb stunt, but weirdly resistant to actually getting hurt. They {not really} jokingly claim that they did so much dumb stuff as a kid that they simply learned how to roll with the punches and take the falls. Binary is extremely friendly, laid-back, and easy to get to know at a surface level but tends to keep strangers and acquaintances at a distance from their inner thoughts. Thoughts that are far more observant and keen to learn than most assume. They always chase their interests, and those interests are to learn, always diving into the unknown to figure out what something is and how they work. It's not something they can help: it's simply who they are and their notes are extensive when given the chance to properly follow and observe.

History: One of a set of identical twins -- named Binary and Eclipse -- the two were near inseparable as kids despite having fairly different interests. Eclipse tended more towards staying inside, always reading and studying, while Binary always wanted to be outside, usually running off into the woods and coming back with whatever they found that caught their eye. Still as they grew their parents were proud of their children and supported all their interests regardless of the differences between them.
They took the fact that neither of their daughters were actually their 'daughters' with an easy stride as Eclipse announced he was transmasc in their early teens and Binary realized they certainly were not within the 'binary' as it were in their late teens. Needless to say, the nickname 'Non', suggested by Eclipse not long after, has been a very funny joke to the whole family -- and many friends -- ever since.
The two had to go their separate ways when college hit though -- Eclipse going into engineering while Binary followed the interest in fauna that was sparked by their time outside to a biology degree that quickly shifted in focus. After all, why focus just on what is known and studied when there was so much out there that wasn't? They thrived in college honestly, even if their small community's rather... unusual name conventions drew some weird looks once they were out of that bubble. It wasn't something that ever bothered them when there was so much to see and do, exams to take, papers to write, and endless mistakes to make with their peers. They have fond memories of the time.
Some of those papers on speculative xenobiology became well known in certain circles, even if many wouldn't manage to connect the dots between the unusual name on them and the unusually named seeming-idiot doing a one-handed handstand just to prove that they can actually, thanks.
Those that could would easily believe that Binary was brought aboard the expedition, even if leaving their family behind was... not an easy decision for them to make.

I got some more info up on the main RP page, but it’s still not 100% finished. Just gotta add a few more things and maybe a to-do list for ideas people can use to get camp set up and such once the RP starts.
