season: newleaf / spring
at last, the thaw has come. flower buds replace snowdrifts, and the land is freed from frost.
clan can expect to find more prey, more herbs, and more cats looking for a home. however,
predators have started coming out of hiding as well, and may pose extra threats in the nice
weather; beware to those who try to challenge them.

• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries

hunting patrol results
• driftwood's patrol caught x2 frogs.

border patrol results
• newstar's expression was grim as they led their clanmates to confront the dog. seeing as their was their first main trial as the leader of saltclan, newstar felt a heavy weight resting on their shoulders. already, they had come to care deeply for their clanmates and would gladly give up one of their lives if it meant protecting the budding clan. so, when the patrol finally located the dog, newstar led the patrol with an ear-splitting battle cry, jumping at the predator with claws outstretched. thankfully, the clan cats caught the dog by surprise. after just a brief scuffle, the dog turned tail and fled. when copperleaf began to trail after the dog, still spitting with anger, newstar called the fiery molly back, knowing that the battle had already been won. upon closer inspection, it seemed that the clan cats were rather unscathed from the encounter. only copperleaf sustained a minor scratch on her forehead, which will require x1 moon of rest to recover. after sending their thanks to starclan, newstar led the triumphant patrol back home, grateful that there were no further injuries.

Mod Notes; hi there! a few quick things to clarify c:
for clans with 0-50 cats, you should have 6 types of prey. if you could please limit your list to just 6 different types of prey that they can catch, that would be great. as you get more cats, you'll be able to add more prey types. you can find more info on the front page under the "going out on patrol" section of the rules.
your leader can visit the moonpool every other post. if you'd like to request a specific cat, these requests are limited to every other moonpool visit. so, for example (post 1: no moonpool; post 2: specific cat request; post 3: no moonpool; post 4: non-specific moonpool request). and so on. i hope that clarifies it a bit! for more info, you can look at the front page under the "getting more cats" section of the rules.

Glassfang knew exactly why Newstar had organized this particular patrol. She might've clawed the leader's ears for ordering it if she didn't respect them so much.
She still didn't completely trust the former sea cats - though Copperleaf's bravery against the dog had gone a long way - and she definitely already didn't like Otterstripe. The young cat was rude and self-centered. Newstar assured her it would fade as they assimilated into clan life, but it still rubbed Glassfang the wrong way. She'd already chastised them for insulting Driftwood about her disability. For what it was worth, Otterstripe seemed to take criticism well since there had been no further comments about Driftwood's slower pace. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad--
"I'm gonna extend the border to the other bank. More prey that way."
Driftwood dragged the protesting Otterstripe away from the Court of Gardens' borders. Glassfang groaned. Starclan, help me.

It had been funny, watching Tangletwist and Antlerstrike dance around eachother over the past few moons.
Zwartkopshadow stretched her forelegs as she sat under the shelter of a tree near the edge of the garden.
She was technically on kitsitting duty, but the kits were old enough to entertain themselves, and she wanted
to see how they interacted with some of the knights on duty. All five of them would need to be squired after
all, and the only cats that were off the soil were the two overseeing Bumble and Pollen.

Zwartkopshadow smiled at the memory of the night prior, Tangletwist and Antlerstrike had moved their nests
to be closer to one another. They still hadn't formally started courting, at least as far as Zwartkopshadow
knew, but she knew it wouldn't be long before they started.

A noise near the garden's entrance drew Zwartkopshadow's mind out of her thoughts, and she turned to
watch as Scallionsnarl and the rest of his patrol escorted in a calico male who was speaking quietly with
Berryfrost. The two seemed to be familiar with one another, and Zwartkopshadow tilted her head.

Rising, she approached Scalliosnarl, flicking an ear towards the stranger.

"Another one from Berryfrost's old clan." The scruffy tom huffed, shaking his head. "Figured we'd only
need t' hold a meeting out of formality so we finished the patrol before bringing him back."

Zwartkopshadow nodded, looking over the stranger. There was something...strange about him, though
she couldn't quite place it. "I'll let Peonystem know that we need to discuss. Has he said Who sent him
here?"

Scallionsnarl shrugged. "Hasn't come up yet. Probably still a bit shocked from his encounter, you
remember how bad Berryfrost was last moon. Just give him some time to adjust and even if he
doesn't say it'll probably be pretty clear eventually."

Lotusseed sighed as Mothtuft left her den. The Preservation's blessings did a good many things for
her, especially in allowing her to keep her herbs safe during the cold seasons, but sensing other
spirits influence was not among them.

However, with how much she'd watched Promisedrose interact with The Eternity, and with the
small connection she'd formed to Evos simply by serving as Lady of the Fields it was nearly
impossible to ignore the lacking presence from Mothtuft.

A simple meeting had been enough to confirm her suspicions. Mothtuft, for all his ties to his
old clan, was so tied to Starclan that likely not even Evos could break their claim on him.

Lotusseed had nothing against Starclan, knowing that many clans placed their faith in their
ancestors. But the Court was under a different sort of protection, that came with their own
threats, and she wasn't sure what would happen if Mothtuft were to encounter any of the
forces of The Rot.

But she couldn't deny that he was an experienced warrior. So she would put her paw in the ring
to nominate him as a Knight of the Thorns. Though she would have to ensure that he never
took on any kitsitting duties...she couldn't be sure what might happen if the next generation
began to place more trust in starclan than the spirits. They couldn't afford to lose Evos's
blessings.
