Caleb sprung up from his spot,immediatly heading for the women's bathroom;no matter how many girls gave him wierd looks he continued into the bathroom. Caleb's eyes almost choked his thoughts as he looked at Evan sprawled out on the floor. He fell to his knees,coughing to hide the mixture of tears that ran down his face. Yet he wasn't one to believe she had died. It was more of a fact that he didn't want to believe she was dead. Caleb toke her wrist and started to look for a pulse. He thought he would have a panik attack when he did find one. The waitress was the first one he even looked at,glaring in fustration. "Did you even call the amublence? I mean that's just me but if I had someone pass out in my workplace's bathroom that would be the first thing I would do." He didn't care if he was being snappy. He just waned her to be okay...and he wasn't sure why he had such a strong feeling for her safety. Caleb could only guess that it's what any pair of good friends would do for one another.

Tahlia slipped into the front seat of the car. She had realized she was still wearing her wet clothing. "I'm sorry Micha. I swear I'll pay for it if it ruins the seating." She had always been one to make up for mistakes and looked up at him with the same sureness she always had in her eyes when she meant what she said yet she seemed to give him a look of slight amusement as he seemed to be rumming his engine around others in the middle of the night. I wonder what my father will think about today when I get back. Tahlia thought,keeping her hands on her lap as she looked back around. What could she say. As stated before she was always easily distracted. Tahlia had been tested for ADD but had come up negative. To this day both her parents dispute the test results.

[Tangerine Scream]

Evan’s eyelashes fluttered as a warm hand grabbed her wrist and search for a pulse, she tried to stir, but it felt impossible to move. She was so cold, so chilled; if only she could shiver. She wanted to get closer to the person with the warm hand. When she heard the word “ambulance” however, she forced her mouth open and said, “Idonwannagotothehospital.” She opened her eyes and looked over at Caleb, “I don’t.”

Vaguely she heard another voice, “Yes, sir, I will call them.” A clatter of high heels told Evan that this person, whoever it was, had left the room. Evan tried to sit up, and when she finally did she leaned against Caleb, staring blankly around the room. “I’m tired.” She said, softly. “My head hurts… My chest. Its cold in here, isn’t it?” She leaned her head on his chest and drifted away again.

“Sir,” the waitress was back, “The ambulance is on its way…”

Micah chuckled slightly, his eyes were shining."Its alright. One time my sister got in my dad's car and for some reason, she had bleach all over her shirt. Anyway, the sight wasn't pretty and I don't think Evan could sit down for a week. So, where do you want to go, Tahlia?" It was rare for him to smile, let alone adress someone by their name unless it was his sister.

Tahlia started to debate his quiestion for a moment. "Do you know about any place that won't have people that will stare at someone that's completly soaken wet?" She mused,knowing fully well that there probably wouldn't be many options.It felt nice to see that he was okay with the stain though. At least she wouldn't be working herself to the bone to pay off for the seats in his car.

Caleb had a hard time paying attention to the waitree as he looked down at Evan,a sigh of relief entering the air. He couldn't really see the room being cold but he responded as well as he could. "I guess so. Do you remember what you were feeling before you fell?"

[Tangerine Scream]

“I don’t remember,” a mumble came from Evan’s lips as she pressed herself against him, he was so warm… She shivered and said, “I couldn’t breathe. I was cold and coughing…” She felt tired; she didn’t want to explain anymore. From far away a siren sounded and somewhere deep in her mind she thought ‘Why someone is hurt!’ and then she remembered - remembered who it was.

She didn’t remember if she said it or not, but she found Caleb’s hand and mouthed the words, “Don’t leave me.”

"Actually yes, I do," he drove the car back onto the street and drove it to the library. Naturally, when it was this late, the library was closed. Every light was turned off and even the cafe on the corner of the building was closed. A michievious grin appeared on his face and he turned to Talhia, "Want a latte?" He parked the car and let himself out before opening the door for her. He dug into his pocket and produced a key and his grin got broader. "Ta-da."

Caleb smiled lightly,taking her hand. "I won't. I promise. Even if it means I have to punch my way through and into the ambulance." He whispered as he waited for the paramedics to come. Every few seconds he would lower his glance back to Evan as he tried his best to smile.

Tahlia toke awhile before she connected the dots. "You have a key? You are like the luckiest person on the planet." Tahlia jumped from the seat as she looked at him. "I guess so. I'm hoping you work here..." She dragged her sentance on,even though she couldn't help but laugh.

“Maybe I do, maybe I don’t,” Micah grinned. He, of course, didn’t tell her that he often just came in here to read, he didn’t tell her that he loved to make himself a coffee and sit down with a good book. A normal person might have guessed it, but Talhia, in his mind, seemed distracted. He opened the door and flipped on the light in the hall way before turning and gesturing Talhia to follow him. He walked towards the Café, often flipping on switches just for the heck of it.

"This is my world at night. This is where I go when I want to be alone. Mostly where I come when I'm depressed, or happy." Micah laughed, wondering why he just said that to a girl he met barely 30 minutes earlier. "My sister says I'm always depressed, probably because I don't talk as much as her... Plus I have insomnia..."

He lead the way to the Cafe and started searching around in the cupboards for something. He finally found it, a book that looked like it was taken from the library. He showed her and put a finger over his smiling lips, as if it were a secret.

"Is this her, young man?" A nurse walked up to Caleb, his face fell on Evan's pale face and he said, "She's not dead?"

"No, Roy," a female nurse came behind the man she called "Roy", "She's still breathing."

Roy grinned and said, "Oh right." He gathered up Evan and took her outside of the bathroom. Eyes followed them as he laid her on the bed that was in the ambulance. The female nurse hopped in after her and Roy said to Caleb, "Are you coming?"

"Duh," the other nurse said from the back and Roy went red again.

"Seriously, Sarah?"

"Seriously, Roy." Sarah said, obviously supressing laughter, "Don't you think the boy wants to see if his girlfriend is going to live or not? I mean really..."

"Well, come on then." Roy said to Caleb, looking disgruntled. He followed nurse Sarah and peered curiously at Evan before turning to Caleb again, "Do you know what happened?"

Caleb nodded blankly. "She just told me that she felt dizzy and was coughing before she fell." He seemed to be amused with the two's conversation. "So I can deffinatly come along?" Caleb's eyes froze as he heard the word girlfriend. Was that really what others thought of the two...as a couple?

Tahlia seemed surprised as she looked at the book and then to him. "You don't seem that depressed to me." She started to think before freezing. "You aren't that quiet now either."

I have to go. I'll be back later.

Aaron laughed and walked toward he call. "Lower?" he asked.

Taylor rolled her eyes playfully. "No, your one of.those guys that plays with girls hearts wherever you go, I know your kind..." She said a little heart broken as she removed her hand from his.
