She got up from her nest, and left the den. She saw Moonshadow was over by the prey pile. She headed over to the other she cat, and said “Good morning,” to her. She looked around for Nightfrost, wondering where he was at. She knew it was probably no secret she liked the two, she wasn’t very good at hiding things..

The dark ambery eyed tuxedo nodded at the deputy. Seeing him looking towards the leader, he purred a bit. Saying “You know…you can go over there to her, Flamepelt. I’m sure you wouldn’t be bothering them,” he said, then looked around. He said “I think we have everything covered here.” He then looked to Redhawk, when the other came over to them. He nodded to him and said “You can come with us if you want.” He blinked when Crowwing then showed up…but he smiled and nodded at her.

The pretty black mediumhair she cat left the den after a moment. She stepped out into the morning air. She blinked those dark ambery eyes. She glanced around, and soon her eyes had landed on Maskedfur, Ravenflight, and…her crush. She felt her heart begin to beat a bit faster. However, she wanted to spend some time with him. Even if they were in a group, and not alone or anything. She quickly hurried over to the others, saying “Good morning Flamepelt, Maskedfur, Ravenflight, Redhawk.”

He shook his head at her…but said “Hello, Winterpaw.” He then looked over to Dewpaw and Sparrowpaw, noticing how the other looked at her. He felt jealous…but not of the male. He might maybe have a bit of a crush on Dewpaw, but maybe not. Even if he did, he figured it would never go anywhere…He didn’t think the other male apprentice could like boys, but then…he’d never asked.

The pretty chocolate pointed cream she cat tilted her head as she looked at the she cat apprentice. She was about to tell her she didn’t have to do that. She then shook her head, and said “Go ahead and get another prey for them. I could go with you. I want to get some food as well, and I could get some for Blizzardbreeze.” She looked back at the other mother. Saying “Unless you want to come along with us, or I could just wait.” She wasn’t sure if they should leave the kits alone…but they were in the nursery.

The white marked black kit purred a bit. She went over to Specklekit and nudged at her a bit, then looked over to her brother. She said “he doesn’t really talk much when first waking up. Also, he was looking at your brother…so maybe something was going on.”

Moonshadow looked up from the prey pile, her sleek black fur shimmering in the morning light that filtered through the trees. Her icy blue eyes met the approaching she-cat’s, and a small, reserved smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

“Good morning,” she replied in her usual smooth, calm tone, dipping her head slightly in greeting. She flicked her tail toward the prey pile. “Fresh catch from dawn patrol. Help yourself.”

Noticing the other she-cat glancing around, Moonshadow tilted her head slightly. “Looking for Nightfrost, are you?” she asked with a knowing glint in her eyes. Her tone was light, teasing but not unkind. “He was lurking around here a moment ago.."

She stretched out her forepaws gracefully, her muscles rippling beneath her sleek coat. “If you’re heading that way, mind if I tag along? I could use a bit of action this morning.”

Nightfrost sat perched on a smooth rock near the edge of the clearing, his dark pelt blending with the shadows cast by the rising sun. His icy eyes were sharp and calculating, flicking from cat to cat as the clan gathered and exchanged murmurs about the morning patrols.

He remained still, his expression unreadable, tail wrapped neatly over his paws. The idea of speaking up or volunteering didn’t appeal to him; he preferred to observe, to weigh his options, and to choose his moment carefully.

As the warriors formed small groups, he waited, biding his time like a hunter stalking prey. If no one called on him directly, he’d slip into the patrol with the smallest group—or the one least likely to bother him with idle chatter. He had no patience for pleasantries or unnecessary noise.

For now, he stayed quiet, his cold gaze sweeping the clearing. His ears flicked forward as he caught the familiar scent of his sister. Moonshadow was nearby. He didn’t acknowledge her, but he was keenly aware of her presence, even if he’d never admit it aloud.

he nodded to his leader as he looked at the camp a bit "Yeah you could do that soon, I mean I do feel the clan knows that something is up as those apprentices are extra energetic today even though most warriors are not hurrying for any patrols" he said to her. His eyes wandered around the younger cats, which was not hard as most of them were in the same place, he wondered if any of them could want to become his apprentice but none of them don't see to came to him or seemed interested he waited for the kits to decide if some of them maybe wanted to do that when they are closer to the apprentice age.

His eyes glowed in the kind of shadowed place of the camp, his fur being as dark as the shadow, but he could still be seen by anyone really. He looked over to the large group around the deputy there, thinking it would probably be some of the morning patrols probably, but it was large enough so he didn't need to try to go there. He watched one of the warriors coming his way, Gentlestream, a very beautiful she-cat, but what a shame she was not his type and maybe way too young too. He waited to see if the female wanted something or if she was just walking past this way.

She sighed a bit as she looked at Hawkpaw a bit "I think Cheetahpaw is born as a warrior, she already has those traits...I could be jealous of her for being younger and much better already, but I guess that's not me..." she said to him with a flick of her tail a bit. She turned to Winterpaw and she approved them very soon after Dewpaw "Morning Winterpaw, anything good about the warrior's side? I saw you talking with Gentlestream. Any sweet gossip?" she asked the other apprentice mostly joking.

She giggled a bit at the Dewpaw's answer to her questions earlier "I think that..." she meowed to him as she turned to Winterpaw "Morning Winterpaw, Did you and Cheetahpaw win us all by waking early?" she meowed to her with greetings. She then flicked her ears as she listened to her conversations with Dewpaw and didn't get anything about what was the two talking about, but she didn't dare to ask that either.

She looked at the kits, all of them for a moment flicking her ears over to Sunflower who was talking to her in a way, and shook her head "No, I want to walk, being stuck in this small den is surely getting into my legs...and the fresh kill pile is not that far anyway" she said as she decided to look at her kits before heading out of the nursery to enjoy the fresh forest air a bit before looked if there was anything at the pile.

She blinked her eyes a bit "I do like to sleep, but I've slept quite a lot already, and waking up before sunlight is fun as then you can see what the other cats are doing before they leave for their patrols and other duties" she meowed to the apprentice. She looked at he brother a bit "I think that could be fine for breakfast, Whitekit is likely trying to get more as he is going to be a big boy" she teased her brother a bit, before turning to the Firekit "Are you maybe afraid of annoying cats? Anyway his being annoyed is nothing to do with you, it's me who annoyed him by waking him up" she responded to the male kit.

He looked at the others a bit flicking his ears at Firekit when he mentioned his being annoyed "Why does that matter if I am annoyed or not it's nothing to do with you, for real" he meowed to Firekit. He shook his head a bit "Nothing is going on, even you could be annoyed by someone waking you up way too early, by eating your ears off" he meowed looking to his sisters a bit who also pleaded guilty to his annoyance.

She chuckled lightly before saying," I guess it would be better to do it sooner rather than later then." She stood up before leaping upto the bolder that was her den. She looked out to the clan a moment before coming to her resolve on mentors. "All cats old enough to catch prey gather amongst the boulders edge for a clan meeting," she called loudly to the camp before sitting down.

His ears perked up. "Huh," he said taken a back, "that's early even for Nightstar to call a meeting. Maybe we should see what's up." He trotted out of the den and looked up at the leader.

She purred at the kits bickering. She heard the leaders call and looked over her shoulder. "Huh... Maybe we can all watch and right after you kits can help me find something else super tasty for you all?" She asked looking up at the Queens to make sure it was alright

It wasn’t like she told either of them she actually had a crush on them. Shaking her head, she said “Sure, I’d like that.” She was responding to Moonshadow saying she’d go with her to find Nightfrost.

She grabbed a piece of prey, just in time too it seemed. Her ears went back then forward as she heard the call of Nightstar. She tilted her head, and silently wondered what that was about. She glanced around, and finally laid eyes on Nightfrost. Saying “Oh, there he is…He doesn’t seem intent on moving, though he must have heard the call to come to a meeting. Should we go over there anyway, and get him?” she asked. She didn’t want Moonshadow to feel like a babysitter though, having to get Nightfrost.

He nudged at him, sending him stumbling a bit and shaking his head. Despite the clumsy stumbling movement, it had worked. Sunkit had ended up closer to where Whitekit was, which had been Firekit’s plan.

The pretty long furred red she cat licked at her tail a bit. She held it between her paws, and finished licking at it and tidying it up. She tilted her darker marked head. The dark markings were only the top of her head, and she had some dark on her back as well. She also had a white jaw, tail tip and toes. Her light brown eyes blinked a couple times. Then she shook her head, and looked at the others in the nursery. Before turning her attention to her mate, and watching her for a moment.

Silentfoot was sitting close to the edge of camp grooming her fluffy fur, Silentfoot was having a harder time getting her fur clean the longer her pregnancy went on. She froze mid lick as she felt eyes on her. Silentfoot lifted her head up taking a look around the camp but settled down when she saw it was her mate Scarletfeather who was watching her.

Silentfoot got up with a soft grunt and padded over to her also expecting mate. Silentfoot headed to the freshkill pile to grab Scarletfeather a mouse before heading back to her mate.

Silentfoot settled down next to Scarletfeather placing the mouse in front of the red she-cat. Silentfoot got to work grooming Scarletfeathers back. “How did you sleep” Silentfoot asked taking a small pause from her grooming.

The medicine cat gave the leader a nod then walked back to the camp clearing to see the gathering cats and find him a place to sit down to look at the meeting to start soon. He wondered how excited the apprentices could be at the moment, especially those who had already been waiting for a long time, some of them were sadly near their warrior age, which of course meant they could not be warriors for several moons if their training stats now.

She flicked her ears a bit as she heard the call "og a meeting for a long time, wonder if this is the day for the apprentices to start their training...you could go there too Cheetahpaw, you also may be called in there" she meowed to the young apprentice. She looked at her kits a bit "of course you can, just behave, no running around and don't be noisy, be respectful to others, this is an important meeting for the apprentices" she called for them as she walked to the clearing not far for the nursery and sat down there.

She flicked her ears a bit "How can we help you to find something super tasty to catch? We're not allowed to go out of the camp?" she meowed to the Cheetahpaw. Her ears perked a bit, forgetting the prey they had, well it could not really matter as it could not run anywhere anyway "Mom can we go to see...you could go to Cheetahpaw, it may be something important to you too" she mewed to them but then turned back to her mother "of course, we will be nice" she meowed to her as she followed her to the clearing.

He gave the Firekit a look, wanting to say something, but decided not to bring it up. He sighed a bit as he looked at his mother and then the others not really minding the bump Sunkit made to him as he didn't see anything weird. He looked at the prey a bit then followed his mother and sister to see the meeting.

The blind elder was sleeping in the elder's den, unaware of the prey her sister brought to her as she didn't even wake up to the fresh scent of the prey or the faint calls for her sister there. Flicking her ears she did wake up to the call of the clan leader, who was much older as it needed to be heard by the whole clan and anyone inside there. Yawning she smelled the prey near the camp entrance and got a fresh scent of her sister there as well, standing up she took the prey to her mouth and carried it out of the den to eat it near the den entrance so she could listen to the meeting.

She woke up earlier and took some small prey out of the fresh-kill pile and brought it to the elder's den for her sister in there. Calling her a few times, but after noticing how deep in sleep she was she just let the prey there and walked back out to let her sleep in peace. She groomed her fur a bit, flicking her ears for the call, before turning to look around the camp for all the cats gathering around there.

He did small solo hunts around the woods to pass his time a bit, managing to catch an injured squirrel and bring it to the clan. Shaking his long fur a bit he looked to the leader as she called for a clan meeting, but instead of finding a spot to sit down, he took the squirrel to the nursery for Scarletfeather and Silentfoot. He was not mates with Scarletfeather, never really was, but he still thought it could be his job to make sure to bring a foot to them and he did want to know his kits too when they're born "Morning Scarletfeather, SIlentfoot" he called out for them both "I bought you a squirrel to share, I hope each of you is doing fine" he meowed.

Yawning the curly-furred male cat got out of the small den he made his small home, it was a nice den, in a nice place. There was a forest with plenty of food for him to catch and a small brook not so far from there. Scretching his legs a bit he shook his fur and started to step toward the brook, sniffing the area to make sure there was nothing there to surprise him.

She glanced around, and finally laid eyes on Nightfrost. Saying “Oh, there he is…He doesn’t seem intent on moving, though he must have heard the call to come to a meeting. Should we go over there anyway, and get him?” she asked. She didn’t want Moonshadow to feel like a babysitter though, having to get Nightfrost.

The sweet and cuddly, imaginative and independent one yawned a bit. The stubborn, clingy, sometimes icy and incoherent one sighed. The loyal and loving one looked around. The loud and liking of mischief one stood and shook off. The golden brown tabby and high white one then hurried along. Their green eyes soon fell upon their twin sister, as well as other apprentices. The fluffy kitty hurried over, and said “Good…good morning, all.” They then rubbed their head against Winterpaw a moment, and purred.

The smaller and slender male blinked blue eyes. He tilted his head as well, twitching then perking his own ears. He flicked his tail back and forth a couple times. He looked to Skypaw and Swallowpaw, then headed out of the den after Hawkpaw and Icepaw.

The pretty chocolate pointed cream she cat glanced to Cheetahpaw as well. She nodded and said “Yeah…you should probably go up closer. This may be the assignments for all your mentors. Which means you need to be closer to Nightstar and everything.” She shook her head a couple times. Then glanced to the kits a moment and smiled, saying “Be good over there.” She knew she and Blizzardbreeze would of course keep an eye on the kits. There was no way they could actually get in trouble.

The white marked black kit purred as she went with the other kits. She stared up at Cheetahpaw, and nodded at her. Then looked to Specklekit and said “She probably means from the prey pile. She probably means we can help pick it from there.” She then turned to look at their mothers, as Specklekit asked a question. She got excited when the two said they could all go to see the meeting.

The flame pointed cream kitten shook his head a couple times. He purred and flicked his tail back and forth a couple times. He smirked at his brother, whom happened to be smaller than both him and Darkkit. Sunkit was the runt of the litter, as it were. Maybe not the runt, since usually mothers would ignore runts. He was much smaller than his brother and sister, though.

The smaller and slender golden and white kitten looked up at Whitekit. Then quickly looked away as he stepped back a bit. He shook himself, and said “S…Sorry.” Even though he hadn’t run into the other kitten on purpose, Firekit had sent him stumbling against Whitekit.

The pretty long furred red, darker and minimal white she cat purred a bit. She arched her neck, craned it, something like that, to lick at her growing belly. She and Silentfoot were around the same month of pregnancy. They’d be having their kits pretty close together. She was honestly pretty happy about that. When she looked over at her mate, Silentfoot almost immediately looked back at her. She purred as she saw this. She flicked her tail back and forth, almost waving it, and watched Silentfoot.

She watched as the other headed over towards her, but then Silentfoot headed off. She was just going over to the fresh kill pile. She smiled when the other came back over to her with a mouse. She looked at her, then the mouse, then back to her. She purred when the other began to groom her red fur. She said “Thank you; I…slept pretty well, but the kits are very active. They moved around quite a lot before settling down.” She then looked as Shadowcry joined them, and realized he had a squirrel…

She looked to the mouse, then the squirrel. She didn’t want to reject his food offer, so she said “Shadowcry, would you like that mouse?” She then looked to her mate, and said “Silentfoot, would that be okay?” Silentfoot had brought the mouse for her, but…she wanted to share the squirrel with her mate.

She smiled as she looked back to Shadowcry after a moment. She said “Also, of course, if you want the mouse…I know it’s kind of small. It may not be enough,” she said. She’d lived off of mice and chipmunks herself for a long time, but now she had four kittens to nourish.

Silentfoot didn't stop her grooming of her red mate "I get what you mean the little ones wouldn't settle down until the sun came up". Silentfoot meowed she was only carrying two kits and it was a struggle so she felt a lot of pity for her mate who was carrying four.

Silentfoot lifted her head up from where she was grooming Scarletfeathers back once the dark tom came over to them with a squirrel in his mouth. "Hello Shadowcry" Silentfoot said. She watched as he set the squirrel down offering it to them. Silentfoot laid her head on Scarletfeathers head when the red she-cat offered the mouse to Shadowcry. "yah he can have it if he wants it" Silentfoot said lifting her head off Scarletfeather to lick between her mates ears.

Silentfoot looked at Shadowcry again "how did you sleep?" Silentfoot asked. Silentfoot didn't know Shadowcry very well but he was nice to Scarletfeather and wanted to be in his kits life and that was enough for Silentfoot to like him. Silentfoot was happy to have a lot of cats she could call her family after growing up with very little family. Her family was a little strange and different but it was hers.

Turning her head towards Skypaw she was caught off guard for a moment by the older apprentices beautiful blue eyes. She'll probably have no problem finding a mate, she's just so pretty. Sighing under her breath for a moment she opened her mouth to respond when out of the corner of her eye she saw Summerpaw, her loving littermate, making her way over to them. "Good morning sis, how did you sleep?" she asked kindly, while rubbing her head against her sisters shoulder in greeting. Winterpaw knew she could be dry, sarcastic, and overbearing to the others. But, when it came to Summerpaw her heart softened to kitten fluff. She's the closest friend that I have, and I couldn't be more happy. While waiting for the others to exchange greetings with Summerpaw, Nightstar stood up and called for the clan to gather. Excitement fizzed in her paws and shot all the way up to her ear tips, though she refused to show it and cooly said, "come on, we don't want to miss this." Inwardly, she couldn't help but be nervous. This is a big deal after all. I just hope I get a mentor that lets me train with Summerpaw. Glancing back at Summerpaw, she caught Skypaw's eye again. And Skypaw. I want to be friends, I just don't know how to ask. Padding to the boulders, she sat down and wrapped her long white and orange-y cream tail around her paws and waited for the others to join her.

Before Gentlestream could reach Slumberfrost and ask him which apprentice he would want, Nightstar called out to the clan. Quickly, the clan sat in groups, all except Slumberfrost. But... I don't think he wants company right now. Looking around frantically she realized she was the only one not moving. Spotting Crowwing, Maskedfur, Redhawk, Flamepelt, and Ravenflight she lightly trotted their way, "do you mind if I sit here?"

Looking at Swallowpaw's inquiring expression, Dewpaw licked his white chest fur in embarrassment, "uhhh, just ignore Winterpaw, she's mouse brained!" He was about to ask her to go hunting with him when Nightstar called out, "all cats old enough to catch prey gather amongst the boulders edge for a clan meeting." Thank the stars! Nodding excitedly in agreement with Swallowpaw he sprang to his paws, " I'm so excited I'm about to jump out of my fur! This is it! Thankfully I cleaned my pelt before leaving the den this morning! Let's go!" Purring to himself as he headed to the boulders he realized Swallowpaw had smiled at him, she's just so pretty. Shaking his head to clear it, he rushed over to the quickly settling group and sat down leaving enough room for Swallowpaw to sit next to him, if she wanted to that is.
