Description

Iris is of average statue standing at around 5 feet and 4 inches, with a thin wiry frame. She does not have incredibly well defined muscles, but has a small amount of muscle mass an her willowy frame. She has a light tan to her skin from her time out in the sun, but during winter months her complexion can become rather pale, in fact there has been time when some joke that she could disappear into the snow due to her complexion. She has pale grey doe eyes that almost anyone would tell you are the windows of her soul, if you know her tells her eyes will tell you all you could want to know. She keeps her hair on the shorter side, it falling just to her sharp jawline. The shade of her hair is not quiet distinct, in some lighting is appears to be a darkish brown but in others there are hints of auburn and a rich chocolaty brown. Iris tends to dress on the simple side, only owning a handful of lovely dresses and the rest of her wardrobe being jeans and tshirts, but she has her signature black heeled combat boots that she has never been caught without. Iris has her signature nose ring, a white gold hoop, that most don’t notice and an array of simple stud earrings in her ears. She has always wanted tattoos but for now only has a small dragon tattoo located on her left wrist.

Personality

Iris keeps her heart closely guarded as someone who has lost so much in her young age. Her sarcasm and grief are a cloak she keeps closely wrapped around herself. When she isn’t being snarky, she is intentional with her words, meaning when there is a bite to what she has said she meant for it to be there. She is honest, regardless of how it may come across or if it will hurt someone's feelings. She isn’t someone who just let’s others into the safety bubble she has created for her heart and sake of mind.

Those that she has let in see a different side all together, although they have known the sting of shroud they chose to push through. Iris eyes are the window to her soul, to the thoughts that whirl inside her mind, to the emotions that rarely play out on her face. Iris can be a warm hug, a safe space, that warm drink you crave on a bitter winter day. She doesn’t laugh often but when she does she’s someone who’s whole body shakes, the person who’s laugh is contagious and warm. She’s a protector, a comforter, when she chooses to be. She’s mischievous and has a history of getting herself into trouble. She is a wildflower that will never truly be tamed.

Bio

Iris doesn’t talk about anything prior to turning 18, all that anyone needs to know was that it was a dark time for a young woman who has let those experiences harden her. She never considered becoming a dragon rider, the hand she had been delt felt less than, how could she think of a dragon thinking her worthy of them. She was 19 when Dazielle swooped from the sky, a gorgeous beast shaking the earth as she landed before her. When this magnificent beast blinked in her direction and spoke directly to her, words she has never forgotten. Now little rider what has you so sad? Words that have forever changed Iris’s life. A wildflower was always meant to bloom, that is what she did, thriving as a dragon rider. She has no aspirations of moving up in rank but Dazielle and her are a powerful team. It only took Iris a year to master the flame magic she received through her bond, and she was natural when it came to working with her dragon.

Description

Jem has been known to walk into a room and take peoples breath away, now that could be from fear or from his looks but to each their own. He stands at 6 feet and 5 inches, he is well built with defined muscles from his rigorous work outs. His eyes are dark ocean blue, some have said it feels like he is staring into your soul when he makes direct eye contact. His well defined jaw is typically covered in a 5 o’clock shadow, his full lips usually tipped down in an almost frown. He keeps his dark black hair cropped close to the sides of his head and only slightly longer on the top of his head. He is usually dressed in simple well worn clothing, only ever buying something new when necessary. He has his ears pierced, with small silver hoops that he his never seen without. He has a large black dragon tattoo on his left shoulder that appears to be circling a autumn colored oak tree beneath it. He has a small monarch butterfly tattooed on his left inner wrist with the scripted words take flight underneath. He is rather intimidating overall.

Personality

As intimidating as Jem is, he’s actually a rather relaxed person. He just has his moments where he’s overtly serious but that has it’s time and place. He is not a giant teddy bear however. He is strict to a schedule that he has set for himself, when there are unexpected delays or interruptions he has been known to get frustrated. He can have a temper but he is not quick to anger. Jem is loyal to a fault, always believing in the best in people which has lead to him being burnt more than once.He is not someone who expresses himself through words but rather his actions. He can be incredibly thoughtful, he is always observing those around him before he makes a move. He has been described as a predator, always watching to see what is to come.

Jem is not an inherently quiet person, there was a time when he would have been considered the life of the party. His quietness has come with age, he learned to listen more with time, having missed a lot in those around him when he was younger. He is still known to crack a joke here and there but has become this soft spoken serious man. He protects his own and will always have a friends back in a fight. He does not instigate, only finishes what someone else has started.

Bio

Jem was raised in a quiet village by his two mothers alongside his twin sister. It was a peaceful upbringing. He was 16 when life dramatically changed, Vera his twin sister vanished. She was one of the first to go missing, she was his best friend and confidant. Two months to the day he got a butterfly tattoo for her as she was presumed dead, after all it has now been 12 years since and he dearly misses his sister. With his sisters disappearance his outlook on life changed. Jem had always been a born leader, someone who could handle a crisis and work through it. At 16 he knew he’d meet a dragon and become a rider, there was no other option anymore. He would stop families from being torn apart, this was all before anyone knew of what was happening to the dragons. He was 18 when he stumbled into Azazel’s den, had Azazel not thought this brazen young man endearing he’d probably have eaten him. The two are a very close rider & dragon bond. The magic did not come naturally to Jem, but he was steadfast in his practice and mastered it after nearly 4 years. He has been a team leader for nearly two years, the steady decline of riders creating limited positions of leadership, leading to the riders to close ranks.

Description: Azazel is a massive dragon, covered in venoms spikes that are scattered across is deep vivid purple scales. His deep violet eyes are the same shade as the deep flame he breaths.
Personality: Azazel thinks its fun to play with others heads, he enjoys using his dream magic since it allows him to snoop through others heads. He is not a friendly beast, only truly enjoying his riders company. Be careful now, Azazel is more bite than talk. He never considered finding a rider so color him surprised when a bold young human walked straight into his den. There was something that simply clicked into place when he met Jem, after all Azazel enjoys sharp things. So his human, his rider, became a part of his hoard wether he knows it or not.
Other: he hoards knives because they are shiny and sharp, at times he allows Jem to use some knives for combat as long as Jem brings him a new one.

Ace usually has a small smile on her face, she’s a kind and over all fairly happy person. She loves talking about things she’s learned and about the various passions that she has. She’s the kind of person who drinks warm tea in the morning and cuddles into a fluffy blanket at night to read her favorite book. She’s a live in the moment kind of gal who’s an absolute romantic, she can’t wait to find her “the one” but for now settles for her romance books. She wears her heart on her sleeve, she’s a big hugger among friends and always happy to sit down for a chat. Not to say she hasn’t experienced tragedy, she just doesn’t share those pieces of herself freely. She’s an avid reader and always excited to be learning something new, which is a big factor in what may have drawn her dragon too her.

Bio

Ace never met her bio parents, she was abandoned at an incredibly young age. She was raised in an over crowded, under funded, orphanage. She had to learn far too quickly in how to fend for herself, and that’s what she’s always done. She helps others whenever she’s able and she’s happy to do so. When she turned 18, days before she was set to leave her little orphanage, they were attacked by shadows. It’s how she got the scar on her face, she nearly lost her life had that not also been when she met her dragon. Verally was the reason she was able to get away, he ripped everything to shreds once the survivors were out. He only chose Ace as his rider because of the questions she asked in the after math of it all. Nearly 10 year later and they are thick as thieves. At times, especially during bad weather, Ace has nightmares and gets overly anxious, something that’s never really gone away.

Description: Escha stands at a lofty 6'4", with a thin, athletic frame. Her wavy, raven-black hair hangs halfway down her back, her face is hard and angular, and her eyes are a dark violet, though all three are often concealed beneath her preferred choice of clothing. A brown hooded cloak hides most of her face and shrouds her body, giving her a dark, mysterious appearance. Underneath the cloak, she wears a simple tank top with cargo pants, with her arms left bare to showcase her tattoos. Both arms, as well as some of her back, are covered with names, white ink winding like snakes across her dark brown skin.

Ability: Telekinesis

Personality: Escha's intimidating stature and general air of mystery lead many people to think of her as intimidating and stoic, but the truth couldn't be more different. She's a bundle of eccentricities, from her habit of tattooing the names of vanquished foes on her skin (with made up names for those that couldn't or wouldn't give them), to her oddly formal, proverb-laden manner of speech, with an underlying obsession with knowledge bordering on fanaticism. She's a thoroughly odd person to talk to, to the point where even those close to her have a hard time figuring out what she's actually saying. While she's an excellent teammate, she's still a bit of a loner, preferring her own company to that of her teammates.

Bio: Escha grew up in a remote mountain village, orphaned by a mother who died in childbirth and a father who perished from disease. She was raised communally by the villagers, drifting from one family to the next until she was old enough to survive on her own. Already a little odd, even at a young age, she secluded herself in the woods, hunting and foraging, until Velathraxia found her. She's been a rider for twelve years now, though she's never expressed much interest in rising up the ranks. She does what she's told, and apart from that she spends her time in the library, or her room, conversing primarily with her dragon.

Description: An average-sized dragon, with deep purple, almost black scales. Her eyes are a vibrant lavender, and glow when she uses her psychic abilities.

Personality: Linxakasendalor is every bit as eccentric as her rider. The two are in near-constant telepathic contact, and will often speak for each other, leading many to joke that they're one mind sharing two bodies. She chose Escha because she sensed in her a kindred spirit, one who would join her in the quest for greater understanding. While she's young, for a dragon, her bond with Escha and her love of learning has given her knowledge beyond her years, and she often feels more at home in the company of her elders.

Other: Much like Escha, Linxakasendalor hoards names. Her den is full of stone tablets, engraved with the names of comrades, friends, and fallen foes.

They can be whichever clan, I’ll make a note when theres too many dragons from certain clans. Flame Clan is the most common!
