The den Chenoa slept in was filled with thick, dense air, a bad start to a perfectly fine day. She took her time rolling up onto her paws, feeling her tense limbs first resist the movement, only to settle with each passing breath she took. She wasn’t a fan of the mugginess, although in all fairness, who was? She wasn’t pleased with the summer season in general, which, as a hunter, her feelings towards it were almost ironic, given that prey was far more active during the warmer months. It was difficult when the blooming greenery was so quick to give her white coat away. On the other hand, though, Chenoa was always down for a good challenge. Every wolf had their strengths as well as their weaknesses, this inconvenient struggle of hers was simply an opportunity to combat the personal fault. It all came down to the day, really.

She noticed with barely any hesitation that Ouroboros was nowhere to be seen when she first stepped away from the coverage by the den, suggesting he had gone for an early morning trot around the woods. She wasn’t going to bolt into the heart of the forest in a weak attempt to find him. He’d come back soon enough, hopefully with some new findings to reveal to both her and Keenan. Chenoa could feel the slight twitching in her paws, though, and she immediately pushed off into an aimless stroll before her inner voice had time to form and ridicule her for not being up and ready when Ouroboros was. Based on Keenan’s stance, she suspected he shared her feelings. It wasn’t much longer before the lead hunter reappeared through the entrance of the camp, and Chenoa took the opportunity to join both him and Keenan.

“Morning,” she greeted them both, although it was evident her attention was a bit more focused on Ouroboros, as she expected some sort of update from his short trip away. “Nice finds. How was the activity looking this morning?”

Nokosi had had a rough sleep, something that was far from common for the typically deep sleeper. Throughout the night he just couldn’t quite seem to figure out what exactly was driving his thoughts deeper and deeper, and frustratingly enough, his mind was equally as fuzzy when he decided to start the new day. Whatever it was, the constant up-and-down resulted in a dreadful grogginess that almost seemed to cloud his vision as he collected himself upright. Giving his head a lazy shake, Nokosi practically stumbled out of the den, eyes averted down towards the mossy forest floor to avoid the unbearable sunbeams that were already rushing to peek out from the tops of the surrounding trees. Despite pointing his focus more towards his paws than what was ahead of him, out of the corner of his eye, he caught Aleck slipping by in such a stealthy way that it was almost as if he was hunting, or perhaps the opposite, and was in the role of the hunted. Whatever the case may be, Nokosi didn’t stop to bother him quite yet. Aleck was a quiet one, thoughtful and content being in his own thoughts most often. Nokosi had figured that out working alongside him; he knew better than to interrupt unless he felt it was necessary.

Instead, Nokosi decided to complete a solo task, for upon reaching the medical den, he noticed that their selection was rather slim. The best part about collecting herbs and other necessities in the morning was that what was still growing often wasn’t picked at by the small animals until a little later on, once they were more awake and readily alert. Doing a mental count of what he should keep an eye out for, Nokosi wasted little time inside the den, eager to stretch his legs and clear his head. He attempted to catch Aleck’s eye as if to telepathically tell his packmate that he was going out to search for some goods for them, but truthfully, Nokosi wasn’t exactly sure the quiet wolf actually noticed. He’d piece it together soon enough.

Ducking his head as he moved past the makeshift entryway, Nokosi picked up the pace, trotting along contentedly. The early morning dew still sparkled against the tips of the long grass, the earthy smell a little extra strong, but just as soothing as always. Nokosi came to an abrupt stop a couple of minutes later, realizing with slight startlement just how far out he had travelled mindlessly. Oops. Almost sheepishly, as if someone was watching, he tucked his nose down towards his chest, snickering almost silently to himself at his childish daydreaming, then turned on his heel to head off towards a large clover patch he was familiar with. Only a few steps in, however, his ears perked up. Voices… Those were voices, right? Feeling his muscles grow tense, Nokosi slowed his pace down in an attempt to walk more quietly, although the long grass sweeping against his belly was of little help. It was clearer now: two feminine voices. He practically froze on the spot. He had no reason to feel like he was doing something wrong, given how the Dusk Pack border naturally came so close to Dawn Pack’s, but it wasn’t often he found himself out and about at the same time as a Dawn Pack patrol. Nokosi lifted his head once more to figure out which direction the conversing strangers had placed themselves. Maybe coming all the way out here for a few clovers wasn’t the best idea at that very moment.

Dawn pack

Georgia- f- 4 y- warrior- pan- crush: Freya- mate open- no pups yet but she wants her own pups possibly one day- Amos x Brandy: Desiree, Romeo, Quinn- Tags: Freya, Nokosi

The darker faced brownish female twitched and perked her own ears. Watching as the other she wolf relaxed then. She watched the other turn her head to look at her. She had no way of knowing Freya’s heart skipped a beat, but she knew her own heart skipped a beat. Freya’s gaze was just so intense at times. It had a habit of making her nervous, but that wasn’t all. She also got nervous for another reason. That being that she literally had a huge crush on the other she wolf. She sniffed the air a moment, and smelled a male…She couldn’t tell if the scent was fresh or not, so she shook her head. She had no idea there was currently a male Dusk wolf watching the two of them. Almost intruding, basically intruding, eavesdropping on their conversation…

She glanced around a moment, searching for hidden fur or watching eyes. She then shook her head a couple times, and sighed at herself. Glancing to the other she wolf, and watching her. She admired the other warrior, and wondered what Freya thought about her. Shoving that thought away, she tilted her head. She then straightened out, and shook herself. Watching the other she wolf as she shifted her weight and focused on her. She swallowed a bit, then said “I…wanted to talk, I guess.” She then silently scolded herself. Get it together, just tell her how you feel, you’re alone together out here! She said these things in her own mind, then took a deep breath. Saying “I-I…I really like you!” in a way that may have been too fast to understand.

Keenan- m- 6 y- Hunter- wants alpha- homosexual; Ouroborus- mate open- Tags: Ouroborus, Chenoa

The golden and white male sighed as he laid in the hunter’s den…He noticed Ouroborus wasn’t in the den. He knew the other male must have gone out to do some hunting. Keenan felt a flash of something…because Ouroborus should have taken some of them with him. Shaking his head, Keenan pushed the annoyed thoughts away. He didn’t want to be annoyed with the other. He twitched and perked his ears. Lifting his muzzle and nose to the air, sniffing the air a bit. He flicked his tail back and forth, and finally sat up and looked around. Shaking his head, he raised a hind leg to scratch his side a bit. He then lowered his hind paw again, and stood up. He headed out of the den after stretching and shaking off, seeing Ouroborus and heading over to him.

He quickly turned his attention to Chenoa. She appeared from the den as well, and seemed to be looking for the same wolf he was. He lowered his head in respect to the other male. Then glanced to Chenoa and said “Hey Chenoa.” Before turning his attention back to Ouroborus and nodding to him. He said “H…Hello…Ouroborus,” then glanced to Chenoa again. Nodding along to what she was saying to the male wolf. He said “Ah, yes…those are some very nice finds indeed.”

Jessabel- f- 2 y- Omega- wants Medic- Demi pan- crush: Shining- Tags: Shining, Destiny

The semi fluffy reddish she wolf yawned a bit. Darker ears twitched, and her darker tipped tail flicked back and forth. She pawed at her darker looking muzzle. Opening deeply brown eyes as she finally woke up. She noticed the other two weren’t in the den…so she got up and headed out as well. She saw Flamingshadow was over talking to Risen. She tilted her head a bit as she watched this…She then shook her head, and saw Shiningstorm. He was over with the alpha female…and she felt a bit jealous but pushed that down, heading over and saying “Good morning, alpha, Shiningstorm.”

She smiled gently at the other she wolf, and dipped her head to her a moment. Sometimes this would be what she did in place of shrugging. However, at the moment she did it as a sign of respect. She wagged her tail a bit, and said “I slept well enough. Um…how did you sleep?” she asked. She then tilted her head as she asked “Did i…hear something about helping with the younger wolves? Maybe…I could try that as well.” She really wanted to be a medic in the future, if possible, but for now she’d help wherever.

Dusk pack

Zane- m- 7 y- warrior- wants alpha- hetero- Roselle- Tags: Roselle

The handsome black phase male twitched then perked his ears. His tail flicked back and forth as he looked around a moment. Then his one good eye was focusing on the she wolf. Both eyes were, of course, blue, but the one with the scar would never open again. He wasn’t angry about it, it had happened as a result of an accident. It had been an accident that he’d gotten hurt. He didn’t blame the other or others that had been involved. He figured it gave him some extra character, anyway. Shaking his head, he put that out of his thoughts though. He focused on his alpha female, as she noticed him.

He tilted his head as he thought he heard a hint of surprise in her voice. He then shook his head, again, and nodded at the she wolf. Giving a canine smile, he flicked his tail back and forth quickly a couple times. He then stilled his tail after a few moments. He had come out here to make sure she was okay. He hadn’t come to save her, but just to assure himself she was okay. He knew she could defend herself, from things within reason. A single bear or moose or cougar could become a problem even for an adult wolf, though.

He sighed as she asked him why he was out there. She sounded a bit irritated…but also like maybe she didn’t mean to actually be. He perked up a bit as he realized this second thing. He watched as she narrowed her eyes, though, and crossed her paws. He said “I…came to just make sure you were okay. I needed to assure myself you’re okay, I didn’t come here to save you or anything. I know you can handle yourself. If you were to run into a bear or moose though… something could’ve happened. I just needed to see you. That’s…not really the only reason I came to find you though, I must admit.”

He glanced down towards his paws a moment…staring at his paws. He then sighed once more, and raised his gaze to look at her. He said “I need to tell you how I feel. I need to…be brave,” he said, then shook his head a couple times before yawning nervously. He pawed at his muzzle, then shook his head a couple more times. He said “i…I have a crush on you. I’ve had a crush on you for a long time, and figured you should at least know.” He didn’t say it was love, still worried that’d send her into a panic.

Elle- f- 4 y- warrior- bi- crush: Hawkeye- mate open- Tags

The lovely golden brown she wolf sighed as she sat in the warrior den. Her crush, Hawkeye, wasn’t around, not as far as she could see. She shook her head, and just continued to sit there. The dark nosed and nailed and padded one wanted to tell the other, she really did. The slender and average height one never could seem to, though. She got too nervous, she got too shy. That or she had doubts, and she didn’t want to be hurt anyway. If she was rejected by the other, that would hurt her…She pushed the thoughts away. Giving a soft sigh then glancing around the warrior den for a moment, before stopping herself then. She twitched her ears, and flicked her tail back and forth. Finally, she stood and stretched, then shook herself and walked out.

Quinn- m- 1 1/2- Hunter- wants alpha- Homosexual- crush: Azure- Tags

The black phase young wolf was still asleep in the hunter’s den. He didn’t even notice when Vermillion and Azure got up and left. There was no way he would, since he was so deep in sleep. He stretched out on his side after a bit, having been curled up. Deeply ambery eyes were closed tight to the world. However, after some moments he began to rouse from his slumber. He twitched a bit, and his ears started to move. His tail also moved, flicking back and forth, and finally he opened his eyes. He rubbed at his face with a paw, then let out a sigh. He sat up and looked around, seeing Azure and Vermillion weren’t there..Sighing again, he shook his head and got up. He licked at white toes, then headed for the entrance of the den.

𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚢
Dawn Pack |Female | Alpha |4 years | tags: ShiningStorm, Jessabel
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Destiny stands tall near the edge of the camp, her posture radiating quiet authority, her eyes scanning the pack as they start their day. Her sleek fur glimmers in the soft morning light. Despite her power, there is a warmth in her gaze as she looks over her pack, ensuring everything is in order. When Shiningstorm approaches, she turns to meet him, her golden eyes softening slightly as she acknowledges him. Offering a small but genuine nod, though there’s a hint of amusement in the way she watches him carefully—aware of his hesitance, aware of his position.

Her tone is both kind and authoritative, the balance that marks her leadership. "Good morning, Shiningstorm" She watches him closely, noticing the way he fidgets slightly as he stands before her. His question is sincere, but there’s a subtle nervousness to it—something she understands all too well. Her ears flick forward as she responds, her gaze softening, though still holding the weight of her rank. "You don't need to worry about asking for permission to help. You're part of this pack—just as much as anyone else. We just need to find the perfect place for you. " Destiny pauses for a moment, looking around the camp, then back to him, offering a small, approving smile.
"Perhaps you can help with some of the younger wolves. Make sure they’re fed, keep an eye on them. If you’re interested in learning to hunt, I can arrange that too—when the time comes." Her gaze flickers briefly toward the forest, where the hunters are likely preparing for the day’s work, before turning back to Shiningstorm with a small smile. "But for now, focus on what is in front of you. We need every wolf in the pack to contribute, and that starts with knowing where you’re needed."

Her voice softens, almost as though she’s imparting a lesson or in a way where she seems to know where he comes from, the feeling of not having an assigned role. "Remember, Shiningstorm. The bond between us all is as important as the strength of our claws." Her gaze softens again, and she gives him a gentle, but firm look of encouragement.

Destiny scanned Jessabel with her amber gaze before replying, "I slept just fine, thank you." There was a subtle sense of satisfaction in her tone, but it was quickly replaced by a more open expression as she addressed the younger wolf’s offer to help. "Helping with the younger wolves sounds like a good idea. It’s important for them to learn the ways of the pack, and your eagerness is always appreciated." She paused, eyeing Shiningstorm for a brief moment, then returned her attention back to the younger wolf, her tail flicking idly behind her.

"Being a medic, huh?" she mused aloud, her gaze thoughtful as she studied the she-wolf before her. "That’s an important role, one that requires a great deal of patience and knowledge. You’ve got to be sure of yourself when it comes to healing, but for now, helping with the younger wolves is a good place to start. There’s always something to learn from them, too." Her smile softened as she added, "If you need guidance or support, don’t hesitate to ask. We all help one another here."

Her voice was gentle, though there was an undeniable strength in her words.

Risen flicked his ears hearing pawsteps approaching, turning his head he laid his gaze on the tan pelt of FlamingShadow. For a moment, Risen remained silent, his gaze lingering on her. His expression is unreadable, the mask that defines him slipping just enough to acknowledge her presence. He doesn’t immediately answer her greeting, instead taking a deep breath as if deciding whether to respond at all. Then, his voice breaks the silence—a soft growl of warmth that carries little emotion, but isn’t unkind.

"You’re not bothering me." His golden eyes flick to the camp around them for a moment before returning to her, scanning her form briefly as though checking her for something—weakness, fear, uncertainty, maybe—but finding none. "There’s work to be done. The day won’t wait." His tail gives a faint flick, as if indicating she should follow his gaze toward the rest of the pack. There’s no immediate instruction or formal offer to join, but the invitation is there—simple, unspoken. "If you want to help, you can. There’s always a way to contribute." he mentioned knowing she and her brother were both still trying to find their places in the pack.

Risen shifts slightly, taking a slow step to the side as if to subtly indicate that he’s open to whatever she decides, but won’t push her to take part. His protective instinct is obvious, though he doesn’t wear it like armor—he simply offers it in the same quiet way he does everything else.

Dusk Pack| lead Warrior |3 years | tags: Aleck
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Blaze’s gaze lingered on Aleck for a moment longer than usual, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. He didn’t move when Aleck settled beside him, didn’t break the quiet between them, but there was a slight shift in the way he carried himself. It wasn’t much—just a subtle change in the angle of his body, a lowering of his guard that only someone attuned to the quiet language of wolves might notice.

The silence stretched, thick and charged, but Blaze wasn’t one to rush words. His gaze moved forward, watching the play of sunlight through the trees, though his awareness of Aleck remained constant—like a steady, grounding force just beneath the surface. He didn’t need to look at him to know he was there, felt his heartbeat steadying, his presence grounding him.

He let the silence hang for a moment longer, before finally breaking it with a low murmur, his voice calm but carrying an underlying warmth. "Have you had any issues finding herbs recently" He questioned. Keeping his tone light- in a friendly manner.
Blaze wasn’t a wolf given to open displays of affection or emotion, but there was something about Aleck—something about the younger wolf’s quiet nature, his presence—that made him feel less alone in the world. It was a subtle connection, one that wasn’t easily described, but it was there. Blaze knew this, and somehow, he was okay with it.

His tail flicked slowly, but he didn’t move. He simply sat there, letting Aleck be near, offering the comfort of shared silence, the weight of things left unsaid resting between them.

Sora’s paws moved soundlessly across the forest floor, her movements fluid and purposeful. The early morning light filtered through the canopy above, casting a soft, dappled glow over the path ahead. As she moved, her silvery-white coat seemed to blend with the mist that still clung to the earth, giving her the appearance of a ghost slipping between the trees. Her mind was sharp, focused on the task at hand. There was no time for distractions today.

Blaze would be close by, and Sora knew that. She didn’t have to seek him out—it was more a matter of timing. She wasn’t one to linger unnecessarily, but she understood the importance of speaking to him first, of finding her place in the flow of the pack’s rhythm. The warriors were always in motion, always preparing for the unexpected, and she knew that her role, though steady, was never without its demands.

Her eyes scanned the dark wolf, along with the tan pelted medic beside him. A small smile crept to Sora, pleased to see the two socializing -if one could call it that.

DAWN PACK
'

Ouroboros - male lead hunter - homo - crush is open - tags (Keenan, Chenoa)

He gave Keenan a quick look as he was the first to approve him when he got to the camp and walked to the pile to drop his catches. Licking his lips a bit he scented the annoyance on the other male but didn't mind about it that much, as anyone has their own problems. As if his annoyance had something to do with his going out by himself, then what could he do about that, he was first up when he left and it's not his business to wake up others and he is allowed to go out by himself too. He sighed a bit as he made a look around the camp which was somewhat active now, before turning to the female hunter "Not good, those hares were the only ones I could've found, there may be a family of them there perhaps, which is good if we can not find anything else" he said with a flick of his tail. He looked toward the alpha there a moment, wondering if they could find any good prey without walking for miles, last time the hunt was way too long and too far, and when they did catch something there was no way to take it back to camp. Kind of a waste of good prey as they needed to leave the leftovers behind for someone else to finish.

Flamingshadow - female omega - hetero - crush on Risen - tags (Risen)

She listened to him, flicking her ears a little bit nervous and she was always near the warrior "Uh, Sure I can help if you need anything for me to help you with?" she spoke to him. She gave a look around a bit "So...um how's your morning so far, you look fresh, I guess you did have a great rest?" she asked him trying to think of something to talk to him about, and that was pretty much everything got to her mind at the moment. The very basic questions and even an answer to that same question 'Oh come on stupid, when do I learn to keep my mouth shut, just the question, don't answer on it...' she thought to herself shaking her head a bit as she was silently waiting what he could answer if he could.

Shiningstorm - male omega - hetero - crush is open - tags (Destiny, Jessabel)

He looked at her a bit "Well yes the youngsters, yes I could check on them and maybe the elders too...maybe ask if Ouroboros could want to take me for his hunting patrol...that could be great...as I am interested in serving this pack as its hunter one day..." he said wondering if he spoke too much. He looked at Jessabel a moment as she approved them too, flicking his ears to the alpha once again when she mentioned medic "Can anyone just train to become a medic in here, or could the wanters need some permission from the lead medic?" he questioned the subject a bit as he was not really sure how that could work at. He wondered if Jessabel could want to be a medic, then could she try to help and work with the pack healers instead than be here with them.

DUSK PACK

Stardust (Starry) - female healer - hetero - crush is open - tags (Hawkeye, Azure, Vermilion, open)

She was up early and already checked her herb storage and made a note to herself to remember what she needed to get and what not. The day was only beginning and there were not many to ask to come with her to collect some herbs, that's before she heard the two younger hunters being excited to go out for a hunt, but being only a year and a half year old they were not able to go out by themselves to catch something big like elks and so one. She joined the little group as the two young hunters' mother decided to accompany them on their hunting trip and she could collect some herbs on the way too. She finds some herbs here and there, collecting them carefully into one little pile on a rock, Hawkeye helping her to collect them and watching around for the two youngsters. Her ears perked back a bit when she saw the two finding a young pig, which itself could not be much of a risk, but if the pig's mother was anywhere nearby the hunt could turn very ugly very fast.

Hawkeye - female warrior - bi - crush is open - tags (Starry, Vermilion, Azure, open)

She woke up at the warrior's den without any good reason, no voices were bothering her or there was anything where she could've woken up, but still, she did. Shaking her head a bit she decided to go out of the den and saw her two sons there thinking about which kind of prey they could try to catch now, maybe that's why she woke up, it was her mother's instinct that woke her up. She did trust her sons and their hunting skills, but still, she felt rather nervous to think those two could go out hunting by themselves, so she decided to accompany them there just in case. She also let the healer join the group in the woods, where the youngsters could hunt, Starry could collect her herbs and she could watch over everyone. She helped to collect some herbs from the little pile the healer did there but stopped at the very moment when she noticed that the two hunters were found pigs. She stayed there but still kept her distance to see if the pig's mother come out of somewhere so she could warm the hunters to get out of the way.

Vermilion - male hunter - demi/bi - crush is open - tags (Starry, Azure, Hawkeye, open)

He was hungry so hungry he could not sleep any longer it made him angry a bit. He looked up to the hunter's den to see that it was still early not many being up yet, but still, he was eager to do some hunting, but alone it could be almost a waste of stamina, so he walked over to wake up his brother to go hunting with him, and after waking up completely he agreed on that. He walked over to the clearing to look around and discuss any good places for quick hunts, but they also did know that they could not go after big prey together. He accompanied Hawkeye and the healer joining the little group as well and they walked to the woods looking for something to hunt, birds and mice were not on the list today as they were just a snack, and that's when Azure found some pigs roaming around the bushes alone, and they decided to catch as many of them as they could.

Azure - male hunter - bi - crush is open - tags (Starry, Hawkeye, Vermilion, open)

He was sleeping in the hunter's den when he was woke up by his brother who was too eager to go for a hunt, so he decided to join him there. Yawning and stretching his legs he discussed with him about possible hunting places they learned on their hunting trips, knowing that only two of them could not catch anything too big, which was kind of sad as eld, or deer could be exactly what the pack could need at the moment, as it could last for few days. Accompanied by his mother and the healer they walked to the woods, where he did find a few pigs alone so far, and decided to catch as many of them before their mother came back and likely attacked them to protect her youngsters.

Roselle
7.5 years old/ Female/ Heterosexual/ Alpha Female/Dusk/ Female/ Tags: open
Roselle’s heart skipped a beat as the words left his mouth. He had a crush on her. Her ears flicked back slightly, caught off guard by the sudden honesty, but she didn’t immediately look away. She wasn’t sure what to feel—surprise, confusion, or maybe something else. There was a strange warmth that spread through her chest, and she quickly shook it off. She hadn’t expected this, not from him.

The black phase male, who had always been a bit of a mystery to her, stood there awkwardly, waiting for her response. His eyes—those sharp blue eyes—were focused on her, full of uncertainty and honesty. She could see it now in the way he held himself, that nervous energy radiating off him. She was used to confident wolves, used to strength and certainty, but this… this was different. And for a brief moment, something inside her softened.

But she couldn’t show it. Not yet. Not like this.

She cleared her throat, shaking herself from the moment. "You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that," she said, her voice quieter than usual. She tilted her head, giving him a once-over before she spoke again, a small, amused grin tugging at the corner of her mouth. "You’re not bad to look at, you know. But... a crush, huh?" She glanced away, her expression unreadable for a moment, then met his gaze again.

“I didn’t expect that. But I appreciate you telling me.” She paused, trying to gauge how he’d take the next part. "It’s not like that for me. You know how I am. I don’t do this… feeling thing. It complicates things."

Her tail flicked, her usual air of indifference returning as she took a step back, trying to regain some composure. "I’m glad you’re worried about me, but don’t go around thinking you need to protect me, alright? I can handle myself."

She exhaled, looking him over once more before speaking again, softer this time. "Maybe... maybe we’ll talk about this later. Just not now. We have more important things to deal with than my ‘love life.’"

There was a heavy silence between them, and Roselle wasn’t sure what came next. But for now, she had said her piece.

Freya
4 years old/ Female/ Demisexual/ Warrior/ Dawn/ Tags: Georgia
Freya’s ears flicked as she caught the subtle shift in the air around her, the way the other she-wolf tensed up just slightly. Her eyes lingered on the dark brown fur of the other, noticing how her breath hitched, how her gaze darted away briefly before meeting Freya’s again. She could feel the tension hanging in the air between them. Something was off, but what?

Her own heart thudded, though she tried to keep her expression neutral. There was a quiet strength in the way the other warrior stood, and a certain vulnerability that Freya hadn’t expected to see. Her gaze softened, curiosity piquing in her chest. She could tell the other had something on her mind, something that was difficult to say.

Then it came. The words, rushed and almost too quick to catch.

"I… I really like you!"

Freya’s breath caught in her throat. Her heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t been expecting that, not at all. Her thoughts stuttered for a moment, trying to process what had just been said, the weight of it sinking in. The other wolf had… feelings for her? The realization sent a rush of warmth through Freya’s chest, though she struggled to keep her cool.

She swallowed and cleared her throat softly, her gaze shifting slightly to the side, then back. She took a moment, letting the silence settle before speaking, her voice low and steady. “You… really like me?” she repeated, her tone a mix of surprise and something softer, more vulnerable. She could feel the sudden flutter in her own chest at the admission, the weight of the moment heavy but strangely comforting.

Bramble
3 years/ Male/ Homosexual/ Beta/ Dawn/ Tags: open
The forest was eerily quiet as Bramble walked through the dense underbrush, his paws moving with practiced ease over the uneven ground. The deep green canopy above him shielded the fading light, casting long, cool shadows across the forest floor. Evening was settling in, the sky painted in soft purples and blues as the sun dipped lower on the horizon. He wasn’t in a hurry, and that was a rare luxury for him. The weight of his responsibilities as Beta of the Dawn Pack usually kept him on a tight leash, but for now, Bramble was alone.

His fur rippled with every step, the light creams and white blending into the sun shining through the gaps of the trees. He had always been a large wolf—muscular, broad-shouldered, and imposing—but there was a calmness about him now, a stillness that spoke volumes. The forest felt like an extension of himself, each tree and rock a part of the land he had sworn to protect. And in this moment of solitude, he could breathe easier, the weight of his rank temporarily lifted from his shoulders.

Bramble paused by a thick oak, the bark rough under his paw as he pressed it against the tree. His amber eyes scanned the surroundings, drinking in the beauty of the quiet wilderness. There were no distractions here, no packmates needing guidance, no threats looming on the horizon. Just the whisper of the wind through the branches, the distant rustling of leaves, and the faint scent of pine and damp earth in the air.

His mind drifted back to his father—the wolf who had shaped him, taught him the ways of the pack, and instilled in him a sense of duty. It had been some time since he’d allowed himself to think about his past in such a way, but in the stillness of the forest, memories came flooding back. His father had been strong, unwavering in his commitment to the pack. And though Bramble never quite understood the weight his father had carried, he respected it. The thought made him straighten slightly, as if standing taller in his own thoughts.

But as quickly as it came, the nostalgia was gone. Bramble wasn’t one for lingering on the past for too long. He was here, now, with a future to protect. His mind turned back to the present, the pack, the land—his responsibilities that never seemed to let up.

A breeze swept through the trees, rustling the leaves above him. Bramble let the cool air fill his lungs, the scent of the forest mingling with the sharpness of the night ahead. His golden eyes flickered upward, taking in the stars slowly beginning to appear through the breaks in the canopy. There was something about the vastness of the sky that always settled his mind. It reminded him how small he was in the grand scheme of things, yet how important his role was in protecting what was his.

For now, though, there was only the silence of the forest. And Bramble, standing tall, at peace in his own solitude, embraced it. No pack, no wolf, no battle to fight—just the quiet hum of the world as it turned around him.

Aleck
4 years/ Male/ Homosexual/ Medic/ Dusk/ Tags: Blaze
Aleck felt the shift in Blaze’s presence before his mind could fully catch up to it. It wasn’t anything overt, but the subtle change—Blaze letting his guard down just a fraction—was enough to make his pulse quicken. He had always admired how Blaze seemed to carry himself with such quiet strength, and moments like this, when Blaze let that invisible wall drop even slightly, felt like a rare gift.

The silence stretched between them, thick with unspoken words. Aleck didn't mind it. In fact, he preferred it. Blaze's presence was enough to fill the space, the way the air felt heavy just before a storm broke. Aleck was never good at navigating the spaces between words, but with Blaze, it was different. It was like they didn’t need to fill every second with conversation to understand each other. There was something unspoken, something that buzzed in the air between them, that made silence feel more like a shared language than an awkward gap.

When Blaze spoke, Aleck's ears flicked, and he glanced at him from the corner of his eye, noting the warmth beneath the casual question. He hadn't expected the sudden shift from silence to inquiry, but it was welcome. Aleck didn’t need to look directly at Blaze to feel the way his presence steadied him, a force that was almost grounding. He inhaled deeply, thinking for a moment before answering, his voice low but steady.

"I’ve found a few new patches, but it’s been tricky. The weather’s been making some of the rarer herbs harder to come by." He shifted slightly, the weight of his thoughts mingling with the stillness of the moment. "But nothing I can’t handle." There was a pause, a beat of silence as he let the words sit between them. "What about you? How are you?"

He glanced at Blaze, but only for a moment, allowing his eyes to linger just enough to convey the question, not expecting an answer, but hoping for one all the same.

She sniffed the air a moment, and smelled a male…She couldn’t tell if the scent was fresh or not, so she shook her head. She had no idea there was currently a male Dusk wolf watching the two of them.

(Leaving this for Nokosi I guess)

She tilted her head as she looked at the other she wolf. She watched the other she wolf that was watching her. She held her gaze a moment, but then began to feel nervous again. She quickly turned her gaze away from the other she wolf a moment. Before she returned her gaze to her, and watched her right back. Tilting her head again and wondering what the other was thinking. She flicked her tail gently back and forth. She twitched and perked her ears, sniffing the air once more,..then shaking her head.

She then had said what she wanted to say, albeit almost too fast. It seemed like the other she wolf still had gotten what she’d said, though. She watched the other she wolf look…something. Startled, surprised, some sort of emotion such as those. She looked down at her paws a moment…then back up again. She watched the other she wolf, as the other seemed to be thinking. She didn’t know what the other she wolf could be thinking. Was she thinking this could be good, was she thinking that this was…all ridiculous?

Georgia tensed a moment, but then scolded herself and let out a small sigh. She looked at the other she wolf after a moment. She nodded slowly, and said “I…I do like you a lot, but…it’s…it’s okay if you don’t like me like that. I just… thought I owed it to you, that I needed to finally tell you.”

Keenan- m- 6 y- Hunter- wants alpha- homosexual; Ouroborus- mate open- Tags: Ouroborus, Chenoa

The golden and white male nodded at the other male, when Ouroborus looked at him. He glanced to the she wolf a moment. He offered a small smile, a canine look and not the same as a human smile. Of course it wouldn’t be, they weren’t humans. He then turned his attention back to the other male again. Hearing him say those were the only hares he’d been able to find. “Do you…want to send a group of us out to try and find more prey?” He had to ask him, Ouroborus was the lead hunter. It was definitely good if the hunters asked him. Instead of just waiting for him to tell them they should go hunting. They could also go out hunting on their own, but maybe shouldn’t. If any went on their own, Ouroborus and others wouldn’t know where they were. Though maybe they’d be able to assume. They shouldn’t have to assume, though. Keenan stopped himself before his thoughts began to spiral or mix up. He looked around for a moment, then back to the other two.

Amberr- f- 4 y- hunter- hetero; Kosumi- mate open- Tags: Kosumi

The caring but cold, intelligent but icy she wolf yawned a bit. The friendly but fierce, outgoing but overprotective she wolf looked around. She was loyal to the pack, as any wolf should be. However, she was a loud she wolf and others could get annoyed with that. She loved adventure, but was also a bit of a mischief maker. The honest but headshy, careful but also careless one sighed a bit. She valued her alone time. However, she was much more likely to want to be around others. Such as now, she wanted to see Kosumi now. She found herself wanting to see the male healer, so she looked around a moment. The beautiful red she wolf perked her darkened ears. The white undersided and dark nosed one searched around for him. Finally, she found him and went to him. She smiled a canine smile as she looked at the healer. Saying “Good morning Kosumi, um…would you want to have some breakfast?” Her light ambery eyes were warm and soft as she looked at him.

Jessabel- f- 2 y- Omega- wants Medic- Demi pan- crush: Shining- Tags: Shining, Destiny

The semi fluffy reddish she wolf nodded at her alpha female. She lowered her gaze a moment, not nervous but just deferring to her (idk if that’s right…) She lifted her gaze once more, as the other spoke. She smiled a bit, saying “That’s great.” She then nodded when the other spoke once more. She said “I’d love to help with that then,” and flicked her tail back and forth. She’d really like to help with watching after pups. There was no official rank or name for that though, the omegas seemed to just all help with that.

She nodded and said “I’m not too sure on it…but learning a bit about herbs could be good. I’d actually really like to help with younger pups. There isn’t…an official role for that kind of thing though,” she said. She then looked towards ShiningStorm, as he spoke. She sighed a bit…but nodded to what he said. He might honestly be right…and she wasn’t sure she wanted to leave the omega rank yet. She was friends with him and his sister. At least, she thought of them as her friends but wasn’t sure if they thought the same.

Dusk pack

Zane- m- 7 y- warrior- wants alpha- hetero- Roselle- Tags: Roselle

The handsome black phase male tilted his head as he watched her. He saw her ears when they flicked back slightly. He could tell he’d caught her off guard, which he hadn’t honestly meant to do. Shaking his head, again, he watched her as she seemed to think. He didn’t know what she’d expected from him, but maybe not this. She should be able to expect it, though. She was a bit older, as was he, but they were fully capable of love. Shaking his head again, he watched her as she watched him. Something made him want to paw at his injured eye. He’d used to scratch at it, more like just paw at it, when he’d first gotten injured.

He hadn’t done so in a very long time. However, being as nervous as he was now, it was making him want to do so again. He shook his head again, and scolded himself silently for even thinking like that. He couldn’t mess with his eye…since even though it had scarred over he could hurt himself. If his nails caught, that could harm him. He figured he might still be able to hurt it by accident if he wasn’t careful.

He quickly looked to her again, and nodded at her. Saying “I…thank you…that definitely took guts to say, though at this age I shouldn’t be shy about something like that.” He looked away a moment. Then back to her and said “I’m glad I was able to tell you.” He glanced around a moment, then back to her as she took a step back. He sighed but nodded to her, saying “I suppose I understand thinking it complicates things.”

He then nodded and said “Of course…I know you can handle yourself. Yes…we can talk about it later, if…you end up wanting to.” He then nodded as she continued to speak to him. He asked “Do you want to come back to camp with me, or…do you want me to take any warriors on a patrol?”

Obsidian- m- 4- hunter- homosexual- mate open- Tags: open

The soft and sweet but shy and stubborn male yawned a bit. Shaking his head, the strong willed and sensitive but sensible shoulder to lean on looked around. He flicked his white tipped tail back and forth. The playful but peevable, noble but nervous one blinked. Those blue-gray orbs then looked down at his paws a moment. He found himself licking at his white toes of one paw. The loyal but loud, outgoing but ornery one moved onto the next paw. Then his back left paw as well. Before finally moving to his back right paw and licking between those white toes. The toes of all four paws were white, of course. Shaking his head, the friendly but fierce, loving but mischief liking one lifted his head. He looked around the den a moment.

He was withdrawn if upset, but willing to listen to the problems or concerns of others. He was great with pups, and great at his job. The sometimes worried, sometimes overwhelmed one sat up. He stood up then, hopped from his nest and shook out his black coat. The cute and pretty but slightly handsome one stretched. He straightened up, and licked at the white streak on his chest. The smaller and slender male then walked. He headed for the entrance of the den, walking out into the morning air.

Chenoa turned her head to acknowledge Keenan as he opened his mouth to address her, giving him a flick of her ear in return. “Morning,” she returned, tone light, content, but laced with the thinnest line of concentration, given how Ouroborus was still standing there. Both ears flicked forward in surprise when the lead hunter revealed the opposite of what she was expecting. Yes, their past few weeks hadn’t been as successful as usual during the summer, but with Ouroburus’ two hares, naturally, she had figured he had found a den. Chenoa’s instinct wasn’t to sniff out a den and wait until the family popped out, she saw that as an unethical form of cheating, but at the end of the day, it came down to survival. They had mouths to feed; Dawn Pack wasn’t as small as it once was.

“Strange,” she mused, half to herself, eyes fixating on the hares for a fleeting moment or two. “It’s not worth a hike… But…” She stopped herself, head tilting slightly as she mentally went back and forth with what to follow up with. “It might come to that, don’t you think? If not, then maybe we’ll have to linger out longer than usual.” Her head tilted up, and quickly, Chenoa glanced around for the nearest warrior. “Has anyone spoken to any of the warriors? They spend more time out patrolling, I can’t say confidently they would have had more success but maybe they’ve seen something further out?” She was grasping at loose straws; anything to boost their hope. Neither Ouroborus nor Kennan were stupid, though. She knew they both knew just as well that it was easier to suggest it than for it to be true. She gave a simple nod of agreement when Keenan piped up about going out as a group. Surely it couldn’t hurt.

It was concerning. Summer was when prey thrived, why was everything so sparse? The forest itself had been quiet, which, one would expect, would be more encouraging in terms of prey activity. If they weren’t having much luck now, the winter months would be extremely troubling.

rank. lead medic__pack. dawn pack__mentions. --__tags. amberr
Kosumi had been up before the sun, something usual for him. As the only one who had the proper medical training in the pack, he constantly felt he had to be available at all hours. One never could know when someone needed medical treatment, regardless of how small or alarming the problem may be. It wasn’t unusual for someone to make note of his lack of sleep. It wasn’t always easy for him to have a good lay-down, anyway; he had gotten used to the awkwardly twisted paw he was born with, but there were still moments when it acted up. That had been one of the things Kosumi was constantly trying to aid. He was his own guinea pig; he was determined to find a cure one day for the pain, and not only solely for his sake. Things had been pretty quiet lately, but nobody could predict the future. Anything could go wrong at any given time.

He was hiding out in the medical den, now, as per usual. Muffled voices could be heard from afar, although the overgrown greenery that hung down from the den did a pretty good job blocking it out. When Kosumi got into his work, his ears blocked out everything, without fail. Sometimes he saw it as a blessing, other times, it was a curse. He didn’t know when to stop. One of his closest friends Amberr liked to remind him of that, funny enough.

On the note of Amberr, as if he had telepathically called for her, he heard her voice from the other side of the vines, and within another second or two, her red pelt appeared from the vegetation. “Amberr!” Kosumi greeted warmly, trotting his infamous hop of a trot over to her. He bumped his nose against hers in acknowledgment. “I guess I should probably get on that… I forgot I was hungrier than I told myself.” His ears flickered back and forth sheepishly before shrugging it off. “Lead the way, I’m just about done here anyway.”

Two voices, and it didn’t seem anyone else was joining them. Nokosi felt slightly guilty for semi-eavesdropping, although really, with the thick brush and strategic placement of the trees, voices didn’t carry very far out here. He wasn’t close enough to their shared border for him to appear threatening. He almost chuckled to himself at that thought. There was no way he could come across as threatening anyway, with a shaggy mouthful of greens shoved into his jaws. But still. Ears flicking back and forth with unease, Nokosi took a few steps back. To go to that clover patch or to not… Even though he had every right to march forward and seek it out, he ultimately decided against it. As far as he was aware, he didn’t know those strangers. They could start something he wasn’t hoping to cause, and he wasn’t the most skilled at defending himself. Perhaps I should look into that.

For a split second, Nokosi did hesitate, because for half a heartbeat, he was almost sure he did know the scent of one of the wolves. Was it…? No. He wasn’t going to sneak forward and let his curiosity get the best of him. If Roselle found out that he had a friend from the other pack… Well, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to go down that route. Maybe “friend” was a loose term. He had shared a few words with Freya, although he had been trying to tell himself it was solely because they happened to be in the same area at the same time. It had been to be polite, to avoid conflict. That’s what he told himself, anyway.

Shaking his head, Nokosi accepted his loss and turned sharply, trotting back to the pack. He had picked a few stems of yarrow, which were great for sore throats. It would be far worse if he came back empty-pawed. The camp felt closer than he expected, and within another few quick moments, he was back home. Making a beeline to the medical den, Nokosi dropped off his collectibles, then stepped out. Starry was still out, it seemed; he was pretty sure he remembered her saying she was going to accompany some of the hunters for her own little hunt. His eye caught sight of Sora, who was standing by herself a little ways away. Ears perking up contentedly, he headed over to her.

“Sora!” He chirped, nodding towards her to catch her attention. His eyes twinkled with mischief as he spoke again: “Slacking off already?” Of course he was teasing; Sora was one of the hardest working wolves in the pack, hands down. He took a seat beside her. “How was your night?”

    TOTEM | pack: dusk | rank: beta | mentions: - | tags: -

totem slowly opened his eyes as he started to awaken
from his deep sleep. his ears twitched to listen to the
sounds of small animals crunching the leaves with their
every movement and chirping birds in the morning sky.
he stretched out his legs and let out a long yawn. even
though he slept peacefully through the night, he found
    himself more tired than usual.

with a low growl, totem forced himself to his paws and
shook out the tiredness from his body. he licked his teeth
and smacked his lips, he hated the morning dryness in
his mouth. that was enough for him to start his day.

totem walked through the forest until he reached a small
river. he lowered his head and lapped up the cold water.
when he was finished drinking, he brought himself back
down to the ground to lay by the water. the quietness
    was always appealing to him.

    meet totem!

Roselle
7.5 years old/ Female/ Heterosexual/ Alpha Female/Dusk/ Female/ Tags: Zane
Roselle felt a knot twist in her stomach as the black phase male watched her, his gaze steady, yet soft, almost as though he were waiting for something more from her. She wasn’t sure what. His words hung in the air, and though they were sincere, she couldn’t shake the feeling of her heart racing, out of place in her chest. His injured eye, the way his paw hovered near it, the silent struggle in his posture—it was all so much to take in. She had always known he carried that scar, the physical one, but now she realized how much it still affected him, even when he tried to hide it.

Her tail flicked nervously behind her as she thought about his words. Yes, she could handle herself. She’d always prided herself on that, but the moment felt so much heavier than it had a heartbeat ago. "I…" She trailed off, unsure of how to continue. She had never been good at expressing emotions like this, not the ones that twisted and tangled inside her like vines.

Taking a slow breath, she forced herself to meet his eyes again, shaking her head slightly to clear her thoughts. "I didn’t expect you to say that," she admitted, her ears twitching back again, betraying her nerves. "But... I’m not sure I know how to handle this either."

His offer to talk later didn’t ease the pressure building in her chest, but it gave her a small sense of relief. *Later.* It wasn’t now. The moment could be avoided for a while longer. Her paws shuffled uneasily, as if there was some invisible space she could step into to escape the weight of the conversation.

At his final question, she glanced down at her paws, her lips pressing together in thought. *Should I go with him?*

"No," she replied softly, "I think I'll head back to camp for now" The decision made, she felt the tension in her shoulders loosen a fraction. But deep inside, she wasn’t so sure. She wasn’t so sure about anything, not anymore.

Freya
4 years old/ Female/ Demisexual/ Warrior/ Dawn/ Tags: Georgia
Freya hesitated, her gaze still fixed on Georgia, but now with a certain distance in her eyes. She could feel the weight of the confession hanging in the air, but she couldn’t quite bring herself to give an answer she wasn’t sure of. Her tail stilled, and her ears flicked back slightly, betraying her uncertainty.

"I… I don’t know," she murmured, her voice quiet, almost apologetic. She took a step back, unsure of how to explain the mess of emotions swirling inside her. "I mean… I like you, I do. But I… I’m not sure what that means. Or how I feel about it."

Her words came out in a rush, her gaze dropping to the ground for a moment, the weight of them pressing down on her chest. She wanted to be honest, but it felt hard, like something inside her was still tangled up in confusion.

“I’ve never really thought about it like that before,” she admitted, her voice barely audible. “I’ve never really… felt like this. I don’t even know if I know how to feel about it.” She flicked her eyes back to Georgia, feeling a mix of guilt and vulnerability. "I don’t want to hurt you or make you feel like I’m rejecting you… but I don’t want to lie either. I need time to figure it out."

Freya shifted uncomfortably, her gaze flicking away again, unable to hold Georgia’s any longer. “I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear… but it’s the truth.”

Destiny watched Shinging intently as he spoke, her sharp gaze calm but assessing. She gave a small, approving nod as he mentioned his ambitions. “It’s good to see you thinking ahead, looking for ways to serve the pack,” she said, her tone carrying both warmth and authority. “A hunter’s role is vital, but it’s not just about skill in the chase. Patience, observation, and teamwork—those are what make a hunter truly valuable. If you’re serious, spending time with Ouroboros is a smart start.” she suggested.

Her attention shifted slightly to Jessabel, the alpha female’s expression softening slightly. Destiny appreciated respect, but she didn’t want anyone to feel intimidated in her presence. “Helping with the pups is no small task,” she said, her voice gentler now. “The pack’s future depends on their safety and growth. Even without an official title, the care you give is crucial. It’s not something to underestimate.”

Destiny flicked her tail thoughtfully at the mention of the healers. “As for becoming a medic, it’s not a role you take on lightly. It requires dedication, learning from the lead healer, and a strong sense of responsibility. Anyone interested would need permission and guidance—it’s as much about trust as it is skill.” she explained , her tail flicking softly.

She paused, her gaze shifting between them. “Whether it’s hunting, healing, or nurturing the pups, your path in the pack is yours to decide. But remember, no matter what role you take, every effort you make strengthens us all.” She allowed a small, encouraging smile to form as she looked at Jessabel again. And for the record, friendships—true ones—don’t depend on ranks. You’ll know where you stand with others by the way they treat you, not by where they stand in the pack.”

Her voice softened further as she stepped closer, her presence reassuring. “If either of you need guidance, know my ears are always open. You’re part of this pack, and we look after our own.”

Risen turned his gaze toward her, his tan fur catching the morning light as he stood, amber eyes softening, catching the nervous flick of her ears and the awkward tone in her words. He gave a small chuckle, the sound low but not unkind.

“You don’t need to be so tense,” he replied, his voice calm and steady, as though trying to ease her nerves. ”You’re doing fine, really.” He tilted his head slightly, his tail giving a slow, reassuring sway behind him.

“My morning’s been good,” he continued, glancing toward the horizon where the sun peeked over the treetops. Risen’s gaze returned to her, studying her briefly before adding, “What about you? I hope the pack didn’t have you running ragged before sunrise.”

Risen caught the slight shake of her head and the way her gaze darted away. He didn’t press her, but the faintest of smiles played at his muzzle. “If you’re up for it, there’s always something to do around here. Hunting, patrolling, even sparring, if you’re in the mood. I’m about to head out for a quick patrol if you were wanting to join” he offered with a flick of an ear.

Sora turned her head sharply at the sound of her name, her golden-brown eyes narrowing for a split second before softening as she recognized Nokosi approaching. She huffed through her nose, a smirk creeping onto her muzzle as she caught the teasing lilt in his voice.

“Slacking off? You wish,” she shot back, swishing her tail against the ground in mock offense. “I’ve been up since dawn. If anyone’s slacking, it’s the wolf who just came back with yarrow.” Her tone was playful, but her sharp wit carried an edge of pride in her own work ethic. Her over-dramatic demeanor adding an additional hint of humor.

As he settled beside her, Sora glanced at him, her expression softening into something more genuine. “My night was fine. Quiet for once, thank the stars. I did the late patrol and caught sight of a doe near the stream at the border. Would’ve gone after her out of boredom, but she was quick, and I didn’t want to risk crossing into trouble.” Her ear flicked slightly as she mentioned the border, a hint of unease in her otherwise composed demeanor.

She studied Nokosi for a moment, noting the faint traces of greenery still stuck to his fur from his earlier gathering. “What about you? Got into any trouble sneaking around for herbs, or did you behave for once?” she asked, her tone light but her gaze steady, curious about what he’d been up to. Hoping he’d see past her teasing. Sora felt a sense of comfort around Nokosi.
