Indeed, I think she inspired quite many back in the days. (: That's the best thing about fantasy stories in my opinion; one get to be the "god" to decide what should be and what shouldn't. I enjoy having the space to decide upon things without having to worry too much regarding logic sometimes. Aaah, I've been thinking if I should try to get an access code to join toyhouse too, it seems like such a nice site for character storage and such. It's just that I've been with my good old website for my characters for so many years now that I'd feel bad if I left it completely. xD
Me too! I've loved that site for so many years. It was one of the first communities I joined that really forced me to practice my English for real and I'm grateful to this day for all the kind people I met there that was patient with me even when I made no sense at all, lol. :'3 I really need to contact someone to ask why the forums doesn't work for me anymore (I should have done it a year ago when I noticed how I was unable to login after one of the forum updates, but never got to it), I miss being able to login there every now and then to check in on things.
Honestly, it's the most messy in the beginning I think. Once everything's settled in it's quite easy to keep track of them all. (: And I guess I'm somewhat "blessed" by having some stories that are based off dreams I've had over the years; so they needed a lot less work with the world building since the dreams pretty much took care of that. I on the other hand wish that I could create more than one story in the same world, that would be fun to try someday. (: Aw <3 Indeed, I think it's important too and have noticed that whenever I write outside how I normally write, I struggle way more and feel like it isn't my story at all. More like I'm pretending to be someone else. Indeed individuality for the win <3

Hopefully I can send it in by the end of this upcoming weekend if all goes well! I'm very nervous but at the same time exited about it. (:
my favorite role as a writer is the role of playing god LOL, i might torture my characters and cause them irreparable mental/physical trauma but theyre my pookies and when theyre happy i get butterflies. akjsdfhlkdsja i love being a writer
"I'm somewhat "blessed" by having some stories that are based off dreams I've had over the years" --- just gotta respond to this real quick, actually literally same. the entire sub-plot of my first novel of the series im working on right now was because of a super vivid dream i had and was like 'damn thats interesting' and jotted down basically the entire plotline on my notes app as soon as i woke up. im such a freak for vivid dreams (except when theyre nightmares ofc ugh)

i used to rp on site (please don't look it up, it was like five years ago and my writing has gotten so much better since then!), but i moved elsewhere with a few friends as some of the dynamics (gore, swearing) moved out of the range of cs. but if anyone wanted to start a camp half-blood rp here, i would be back in a heartbeat

write at least once per week. i know that doesn't sound like much, but i'm not good at keeping up with daily goals, and i generally prefer to sit down and write an entire scene at once, when i have the momentum.
also i have a high course load/busy schedule this semester and once a week is a good balance between things i officially need to do (school/work/what have you) and things that keep me from burning out (writing/reading/staring into space)
my method of writing also stretches outside the OK zone for chicken smoothie, but i also used to roleplay back in the day on here on my old account (in like 2012). i dont think i'll ever roleplay again, just because its so miserably difficult to find someone else that i feel like our writing styles mesh and our writing interests align perfectly c': ill be happy sitting here as a little god over my own sandbox worlds LOL
and tak i wish you the best of luck this year attempting to write a scene each week <3 managing time sucks, but i do hope youre able to find that balance!! i believe in you!!

aaa i focus mainly on writing novels, its been a hot minute since i've written one-off short stories or poetry -- i might add this to my new year's resolutions, because i was a little fool for writing poetry back in the day and one-offs of my oc's.
its so crazy to think about how long we've been on cs c': my old account is retired, so i just have a 2014 tag, but ive been around since 2008 c: i think the community is so tight-knit/easy to get along with, and ofc the pets are so cute, that everyone just sticks around c: im not ashamed to say that cs is my favorite hobby outside of writing, LOL

this is a fun one so imma start...
what's your favorite media trope?im a fool for tropes unfortunately. i use quite a few of them in my novels here and there. the one i'm currently on is the 'slow-burn romance' trope, my poor two fellows keep getting distracted the moment they start talking about their feelings for each other c':
my first novel's main trope used was definitely enemies to lovers, my second novel was less romantic and more of an 'impending/unavoidable doom' trope, where the main cast was being hunted down and unfortunately could not evade heartbreak. and now this is my third, where i have my slow-burn romance, but the overarching trope has been somewhat of a 'hidden-identity-being-revealed', 'traitor' trope.
aa but to stop yapping, i will say that my favorite media trope to READ/EXPERIENCE is enemies to lovers, im just a little fool for the banter and aggression that turns into longing and protection. and my favorite media trope to WRITE is prolly this slow-burn, its so silly finding ways to naturally distract my guys from admitting their feelings for each other while also being in this 'traitor/hidden identity' trope
