i just completed my lion collection today!

278 with rarities, and 292/292 if you include all the advent/hannukah pets (14 new lions).
obviously depending on the outcomes of these new january guys, i might have to send out trades for any of them i miss.

i wanted these 3 for the longest (multiple years), but i finally got them via 2 lovely peeps within the past couple days


the only saddening part was that i had to part with my 2010 red Cerberus:( but i figured, why not for the pets that i got? it helped me get the green may lion, and the OMGSR pink dude

also picked up these guys from that same trade^^ pretty neat. they were also on my wishlist for YEARS...



IN CONCLUSION x3, i couldn't be more happy that i have one of every lion. next up is finishing my warrior cat collection. i need 6 more. then, who knows?

Got the store deer I missed from my collection so now I'm back up to date with my deer collection I might try to work on my Malk dog collection next. I got a Malk valentine from the dec 18 adopts but it unfortunately grew up into the horse instead of the dogs LOL so much for my 50% chance.

I just got a great deal of pets for my Slumber Party collection , 13 to go! I’m in a situation that I didn’t exactly expect - I have all of the high demand and difficult to trade for pets (the lions, the cloud castle dog, the blue star dog, all of the unique dream/nightmare dogs) but the rest of them are just eluding me ;v;

c: I want to sincerely thank anyone who has helped or encouraged me throughout
my efforts. I have gotten close to a complete collection twice... but never managed
to be quite there before liquidating and whatnot... but here we are!!! now time to
chillax, collect items, and frogs until the next december 18th!

MAJOR congratulations on such a massive achievement!! A complete pet collection is such a daunting prospect for me that I’ve considered it an impossibility for now, but it’s wonderful to see people achieve it!! I wonder how you got there, I can imagine that it would have taken immense effort to build it up ;v; ESPECIALLY with the Raven being the last pet on your list - it might not be the most valuable pet you have, but I struggled enough finding one in ~2022, I can’t imagine how tough it is finding one now! You deserve a rest haha

Thank you!! <3 You're so kind. And trust me, I was immensely overwhelmed at the beginning. c:
a lot of blood sweat and tears XD. But mostly patience. Ironically, the last two pets I had left
was the orange cerb and the raven.. and I declined a trade for my orange cerb fodder (when it
was still in the 8 non range XD ) and boom. It skyrocketed as soon as I was looking for it hahaha.
But I actually got a pretty okay trade for it. Still pricey but meh (red cerb + patchwork + td hollyfox)
I am just SO glad that that is the last pet I have to shell out anything above 3 nons for... I guess
I will have to see what the next urs are gonna be! Thankfully I have all year to get fodder. Yay!

Overall, it was about the journey. Once you get down to one or two wishlist pages left, knocking
even one pet off is super exciting. It felt like it took a long time overall, but it felt quick too. I
don't know. Side note, I was around with my old account back in 2014, and trading is nothing
compared to what it is now. If anyone reading this happens to feel overwhelmed and defeated...
take your collections one step at a time. Clear out as much of the bulk as you can and save save
save. Never leave yourself completely without fodder, because it is so hard to come back up from
the bottom. <3 It is completely possible!!! Yall got this.

I'm aiming to collect EVERY pet on CS (I just started so I've got a looongg way to go) and I have to say this is probably the most frustrating part of my endeavor!! I feel like it should still check off 2024 as completed considering the rarity of the UR pets -- I even have every single store pet from the year.

Do you guys think its fair for UR pets to be considered towards yearly "completion", considering how few players actually receive them?? I feel like it makes it impossible for everybody striving for "perfection" to actually achieve it. Curious to hear thoughts!!

I feel your frustration <3 while i do appreciate the UR's give a bit more challenge to completing a collection, i do feel like that now with most of the 08's going omg so rare, the extra challenge is no longer needed. There is a petition to no longer include the UR's in the suggestions forum, if you wanna support that. I myself would like a toggle to be able to toggle it on and off.

I know this feeling very well because from 2012 to 2024 I only have two finished years because I'm legit just missing URs 2008 and 2009 are the only years where I'm actually missing stuff. I had to make a dedicated area for sets only missing URs. Granted I have full sets of the heavy hitters (stores, lions, staffs, etc.) but my WL is easily a good page and a half of just URs. Once I get my straggling linearts done it's just dogs and URs.

I think URs give something for people like me to do because once my WL is done... I have nothing to do. If I stay up to date with events, stores, and staffs, I'd just have monthlies to do and they're not hard to find. I wouldn't object to them not counting towards sets though (like stores). I'm an old user so I have been around long enough to get the stuff newer users could potentially never find. The regular months are hard enough so throwing URs into the mix... I can see why people would quit over it.
