so did I, unfortunately. curse my past self for deciding to collect these guys specifically! now I gotta find someone willing to trade me one.

I'm just kidding, I really do love these new year pets. They're one of my favorite traditions on here. It's why I collect them :)

Yeah, the adults are always uncommon at least and the babies are omgsocommon. Or at least that's what the pattern has been in the past few years. I was lucky enough to get an adult this year, but some years I have suffered... especially since I want them in a particular order in my groups, haha.

The new year litter has gotten better with the adopt limit at 3, it used to be limit 2 and the gupps was even more painful to get. I paid a kinda stupid amount of C$(near 400) for the gupps 2017 dog back in Jan 2018 lol, good times.

The rats say still growing are they going to turn into something? I thought event pets came as fully grown.

Event pets are usually full-grown when adopted, but not always! Last year's New Years dragons also had growing outcomes.

And for anyone freaking out about not getting the GUPPS cat: don't stress it! They haven't been rare for years, solidly in the uncommon range as long as I've been here. It'll take a little time but you WILL be able to track one down. The monthly thread will be dominated by people looking for it though, so don't waste your time in there.
