I had two in high school I absolutely adored.
My sister got two recently that became mine but one has since passed…
We also have a chinchilla.
Technically my dad’s because he’s the one who wanted her.
Other:
The current rat is named Hazelnut (my sister named him Hazel but he’s a boy…)

Y'all will not believe what happened.

I found a hamster in a Petco DUMPSTER. I randomly decided to go take a look after seeing so many dumper diving videos online where people get good stuff.

I turned my flashlight on when I got to the dumpster and guess who was staring at me. I couldn't believe it! There was a box somewhat near him with bedding and a bowl. There's only like 3 reasons I could think of of why he was in there.

1. They purposely did it because they couldn't sell him or needed space

2. It was an accident when cleaning his cage (most unlikely to me)

3. An employee tried to put him in the box I found to come back and steal him after hours, but he climbed out of the box and I got to him first


No idea!! I'll check if it's a boy tomorrow, I might name him Oscar lol but I literally can't believe it.

Tell us about your pets: I used to have 9 rats in total. I had rats for about 4 years. Recently i had to rehome my last ones unfortunately. Now i found this thread as i just got a baby hamster today. Shes only a month old female dwarf hamster! I've only had one syrian hamster before so this is exciting. And i also got 2 male gerbils. They're just settling in to their new home right now.
Other: I love any rodents and am always excited to learn more about them!

Tell us about your pets: honey is a albino mouse I got from Petco and I saved my two rats Lincoln (Link) and Opal from a expo! They’re NOT snake food anymore! Opal is actually a Rex! Her fur is like cotton and SO soft!!
