Feelings about Christmas?

So, obviously, everyone being their own person have different feelings about Christmas or the holidays in general.

Personally, I have a negative feeling of Christmas, as it's just a big rush for gifts and capitalism in full swing as well as my family never getting along during the holidays with it being a holiday based around unity, but I wanted to see how everyone else feels about it. My outlook may be also affected by my age (teen).

How do you feel about Christmas and why? Anything that makes it particularly worth it or anything that makes it grueling?

Personally I don't mind Christmas! I've grown to appreciate it because it's one of the few times I get an excuse to visit my friends and see a lot of family I don't get to see very often since I am a very busy college student.

I've also chosen to make my gifts rather than buy them, it gives me a little bit more of a personal feeling to my gifts and makes me feel better about giving them since I don't really see it in a monetary way like when I just flat-out buy gifts for people :-9

I'm definitely a bigger fan of other holidays (Notably Valentine's Day for personal reasons) but I try my best to keep an open and positive mind towards Christmas since it's such a massive deal where I live ^_^

i don't like it at ALL, the traditions like decorating the tree and baking cookies are fun but i'm not a fan of the cold or having to run around seeing my entire family- it's a bit stressful 😔 thankfully chickensmoothie has my back though lol collecting the cool event pets always cheers me up lots!

i used to have quite a positive outlook on christmas, but i've taken more of a neutral stance now. it can definitely be amusing to partake in holiday traditions such as presents, decorations and baking, but none of that can distract me from the fact that christmas is just another day like any other. the excitement and joy felt during the holiday season has sort of just died down for me — maybe because i'm so much older now. my family also doesn't always get along during the holiday season, so that doesn't quite make things any better lol. i don't hate christmas nor do i love it, it's just another day for me.

Honestly I don’t care about it anymore. It used to be a good time to spend with family and the adrenaline rush I got opening gifts as a kid was fun, but this year I’m spending it alone. But I’m just glad I don’t have to work lolll the best gift is no labor

I love Christmas still. I love watching all my favorite Christmas movies plus the new corny ones that come out every year, lol. I also love gifting things to my loved ones and giving away whatever I'm able to, to animal sanctuaries whose work I appreciate.

As an adult I've learned that any magic you want to experience has to be made, it's no longer created for you. Every day will be monotonous if you don't try and make it otherwise.

I used to have negative feelings about it because of my dad, but now that I just mainly visit my mom and sisters, Christmas is an awesome time to spend with my loved ones. I love giving them gifts, and of course getting gifts is awesome

Christmas is mostly positive for me! i think itd be negative if i had to see a whole bunch of people, but nope, i luckily get to celebrate Christmas with just 2-3 people and my friends (online and offline) :3 i LOVE giving gifts so much,, sending my friends the many digital arts i made them XD and i love receiving gifts! im so greatful my christmas is very chill and the biggest part of it is literally just the gifts :]

christmas is great! it's a nice little event where we can have a big meal, play cheesy music, and have a reason to reach out to folks you haven't talked to in a while. so i think it's pretty swell. i'm pretty happy
