trade group organization

how do you guys organize your trade groups? personally i go by species but that's a lot more uncommon than i thought it would be. i know by rarity is useful for trade purposes, and i've seen it by event/month and by duplicates/singles. what other categorization systems have you seen?

The way that I organize my pets are in three different categories

1. Would be trading, includes monthly swaps, event swaps, and rares im willing to swap
2. Event pets I have locked away so I don't accidentally trade it
3. Monthly pets organized by species! There are also some past event pets but that was from before I joined so I don't really care about putting them in their own category lol

I have three trade groups. A current event swap group, a current month swap group and my general trade group. I don't do a lot of trading outside of current month/event so this system works well for me.

I have a current event/month swap group and a regular trade group. I don't trade much besides missed outcomes, so it works for me. But even when I was a far more active trader I only had 2 groups. I guess I never saw the point in sorting further because of the WL function.

my personal organization for my collections are by species. i didnt want to keep making tons of groups, so i have a general "creatures" type group for rabbits, rats, snakes, hamsters, etc. i dont collect enough of those to warrant a group for every species within it.

i also create a group for any type of monthly/holiday event that involves multiple days of collection. for now, i keep those groups for posterity reason and so i can make sure i collected 100% of those pets.

and then i have groups for all my favorites, one group is for pets that have a significant meaning to them, and the other group is for pets whose designs im drawn to!

for trading, i have a few groups:
- general trading group (this is where my collections across the years go, this group is limited to omg so common -> extremely uncommon)
- trading group for rares and higher (this helps me keep track of what valuable pets i have going in and out)
- monthly swaps (doubles from the regular monthly adoptions)
- event swap (does what it says on the tin, any extras from monthly/holiday events go in here)
- tentative group (pets of high value that im unsure about trading)
