i am considering collecting horses... already collect dwarf hammies but i feel like i am obligated to collect horses bc my brand

My goal WAS to collect every single pet, but I have (actual) OCD and it was giving me such anxiety…. So I decided to collect only designs I really like, and throw everything else into my trade group. What a change! This game gives me way less stress now, and I like every single pet in my collection I have 18 pages left of pets i want to collect and plenty of trade folder now lol

Hello, I saw this thread yesterday but didn't wanna post until later as I'm slowly working on my big cats collection. Now that I have 57 big cats in my collection, I thought it was time to post my progress.

What are your goals on CS?
My current goals on CS is to collect every big cat (lions, snow leopards, etc.) and to collect every winter themed items.

How close are you to completion?
According to counting pets guide. I am 57/256 (not counting this years big cats) and I'm nowhere close to completing my winter items.

How long have you worked on this goal?
Since I joined on December 8, 2024.

Exciting Butterfly Wolf Collection update!

After a lot of hustling these days I've closed the gap on the numerous missing that happened this year!

I now only need 3 of the PPS rares from the Wild West Event before I'll have a complete Normal Butterfly Wolf collection again! I'm a smidge excited not gonna lie.

The expanded collection means that I still have to track down the alien 2024 store pet set.

The complete complete set means that I'll have to magic out the UR Peach and the UR Bee from thin air but we don't talk about that in this household lol.

Ahh that’s so close, congrats! Wishing you the best of luck in tracking down those remaining three, I’ve seen a lot of the Wild West PPSes around when trading with people (and the alien stores too) so hopefully they shouldn’t be too hard to get hold of 🤞

And tell me about it, the URs are at the bottom of my priority list right now but I’m dreading having to try and trade for them at some point :’) Maybe we’ll get lucky on Dec 18th (let me dream lol)

Completed my first year tonight - I now have all of the 2023 b-wolves from the regular collection 🎉 (Big shout-out to mothmun for gifting me the last one I needed!)

Still technically missing two stores for that year, but I have that satisfying little message in the archive and that’s what counts! Onto 2022 next 👀

Exciting Butterfly Wolf Collection update!

I saw the conversation asking about if those two were considered butterfly wolves and honestly, I don't think the peach should be listed as one. I know the caterpillar's face is on the worm, but it's an UR peach. It's definitely one of the foods. The bee I can see the argument of it being a PPS caterpillar, but not the peach.

As of two or more days ago, I accidentally broke my BW collection. I had my only one of it in my trades and it's gone now. I traded it for a scarf or a hoard pet. I just noticed it was gone when I decided to check to see if I was accidentally missing something from this year. I will blame my bad cocoon sorting for it and I think I will leave the collection thing on from now on.

It was just an OMGSC so it wasn't bad. I was more amused by it than anything else.

Also as far as collections, there were items that somehow didn't have a name and didn't get noticed for 14 years

There were three St.Patrick's day items
( I can't remember the other one)

They now have names and are searchable.

Finished my annual post break catch up fest for my butterfly wolf collection 😮‍💨
A few tricky event rares I was missing and of course I come back to butterfly wolves in the store 💀 But I can once again hibernate with a complete set.

Respect to those who include cocoons and caterpillars in their collections, I have more than enough work for myself just getting the full growns.

I have done pretty well on my collections this year even though it feels like I’m not making any progress. (I try to remind myself that I’m newer so I don’t have as much trading fodder and I’m also not spending any real money on this site, and I don’t count store pets in my collections.)

-What I’m most proud of is that I have been playing all year and I have collected every pet so far this year!! (Except a couple advent pets I still have to trade for) Sadly this will end on Dec. 18th because I can’t afford the URs.
-I also collected all 2023 pets last year. (Except stores and URs) And I have collected all 2022 monthlies and this year I have almost completed all 2021 monthlies (except for April but I have given up and April for now). I am now working on 2020 monthlies and I have completed April, June, and December. Only 27 left!! (For 2020 monthlies)
-After completing the 2022 monthlies, my goal was to complete the events and I have completed all 2022 events except the three token events but trading for rares is really hard so I have mostly given up. (Only two 2022 extremely uncommons left tho!!) For 2021, I have completed all the events besides the token events, except for two extremely uncommon pets.

-This is hard to prove because the archive doesn’t sort by rarity and I don’t sort my groups by rarity. I have collected all omg so common and extremely common pets!! I just finished a couple months ago (This isn’t that impressive but at least now the only omg so common and extremely common pets on my wl are hoard pets). I am very close to finishing the very commons, only five left!! (It might not seem impressive but I am proud of myself). Then I moved on to the commons. When I first counted how many I had left in July, I had 450 left. Now only 230!!
-I now have 9,000 pets!! I haven’t even been on this site for 2 years so 9,000 seems like an unreal number!! How have I gotten so many?!

-This is already longer than what I meant to write but I can’t help myself, but to write too much lol.
-I have three completed species: otters, snakes, and monkeys. I completed the otters and snakes last year and I completed the monkeys this year. My two species closest to completion are macaws and chameleons. After three months of not getting any macaws, I finally got three more this month!! Only 9 left for both chameleons and macaws!! (I am not expecting to ever get the UR flamingo but I am trying to get the rest of the macaws.)
-I am so happy they split the Tess guinea pigs from the rest of the guinea pigs so now I actually have a chance to complete my guinea pig collection!! Maybe. Someday. Only 23 left!!
-I have also been working on collecting Syrian hamsters, dwarf hamsters, and chickens, but each of those still have a lot left, all around 100 left.
-After writing all this out, I have realized I have too many collections I am working on all at once lol.
