Shadow woke up the next morning. She yawned and exitted her den. She inhaled the pack scent. She shook herself and prepared to go hunting. Bigger game would support the pack longer. She trotted over to Zodiac's den and let out a bark. Then she walked over to Jett's den and repeated the bark. She positioned herself in front of the hollowed tree on the inside of camp, waiting for them.

Shadow nodded to Zodiac and waited for Jett

Tayenta blinked open her eyes. She shifted in her moss, enjoying the comfort of a nest. Finally the she-wolf stood, stretching her legs and muscles. She peered outside, spotting Shadow and another wolf whose name was unknown to her. She had heard the alpha's bark for hunting, and felt a twinge that she couldn't come along. Tayenta shook it off--after all, she had her own duties. The sleek she-wolf sat down in the entrance to her den, scanning the clearing with her light hazel eyes.

Jhaiz twitched and rolled over. He immediately opened his eyes, and half jumped half fell off the rock he had been sleeping on. He landed on his stomach, wings splayed open. Cursing the stone, he shook his head and trotted down to the stream. Jhaiz bent to drink, lapping lots of water. He sat down on the pebbles, sniffing. He hoped there was some food nearby.

"Tayenta." She said softly but also across the camp. "You may go search for herbs, if you wish." She said kindly and warmly. Her tail was waving back and forth and she turned to Zodiac, then looked at her paws. Her heart fluttered softly like a little butterly as she stood next to him

Shadows heart sped up and she pressed her nose into his shoulder. She would wait a bit longer for Jett, then they would leave.

Shadow kept her tail tight with his for a few minutes before releasing it. "Come on. Jett must be tired." She stood up and shook herself and then headed out of camp and down the slope

Shadow jumped to the side as Zodiac slid past her. She gasped and ran towards him when he stopped. "Are you ok?" She asked urgently
