Hi, I have a question. Am I considered too new to try my luck at the December 18th boxes? I understand it says new players will be unable but is it like a specific amount of time or...?

The actual cut-off date is not made public to prevent players from deliberately creating new accounts before the cut-off so they can cheat on December 18th. However, in previous years accounts created in early December have been able to adopt from the rerelease so you may not be too new!

Yes, the currently available gift is for day 2. For context, rollover is in just under 3 hours from when I've posted this. It would be good to know what time rollover is for your time zone so you know when you need to adopt that day's gift by before it changes. You can check the current CS time here, rollover is when it reaches 24:00.

Oh, that makes sense. I was just curious and I'm not too worried if I can or cannot adopt this December 18th as I'll be around for years to come (hopefully, unless something happens that would prevent me from being able to play. But that surely won't happen but life is very unexpected.) Is this when the site is the busiest when it's Christmas?

Exactly the same thing happened to me, it's also my first advent and I missed yesterday's lions. I think we probably have to trade for any missed pets.

Like JayChirps said, you can still obtain the pets by trading with others, but unfortunately there is no way to go back and "adopt" a gift from a previous day. I would recommend figuring out what time midnight on CS is in your timezone so you always know when new pets are released!

The advent calendar (along with Easter/Summer/Halloween events) are usually the busiest times of the year on CS! The current record for most users ever online was actually a couple hours before rollover on Dec 17th years ago. ^^
