Nodding and saying “That’s a nice name.” She then looked to the mare and two colts, saying “Hello there. What are your names?” she asked, then looked to Freya. Making a calming sound to her and nuzzling her a second time, then turning to the foals. She looked at her filly, and nuzzled her as well. Then turned to Appa and said “Oh, little one…where are your parents?”

Expresso’s dark eyes flickered to Macciato, then to the other gelding, his tail swishing in the cool breeze. He snorted softly, the thought of a drink sounding good, but there was something about the way the birds were darting through the sky that caught his attention. His ears flicked back toward Macciato, then forward again, eyeing the sky.

“I’m fine for now,” Expresso replied with a quiet grunt. "But a drink does sound nice." He shifted his weight, casting a glance back at the others. "After that, we’ll see if I still want to keep walking, or maybe find something a little more interesting to do." His hooves scraped the dirt as he took a few steps in the direction of the water, but his attention stayed split between his companions and the ever-moving birds above.

Tsunami's ears flicked with amusement, her gaze softening as she observed Lightning’s careful approach.
